It could be that you are not eating enough fat so your body is storing and using it instead of just storing it and making you gain weight

Thanks for your reply Charlotte but how do I get more fat into my diet the diet sheet the doc have me tells me to stay clear of any thing with to much fat in it so I am tending to cook everything from fresh using fry light. I wouldn't mind not losing if I had eaten the wrong things but nothing bad has passed my lips

I reckon download my fitness pal app and put in everything you eat and that will tell you how much fat, carbs, protein you eat and show calories for the day.

This might show you what you're doing wrong.

    I'm baffled sorry

Like I said 5grams of fat per meal (max) say a sandwich, you have the natural fat from the bread (if it's brown) and maybe half a chicken breast or a while small one and salad with ligh mayo - that has some fat in it but not too much - having lots of veg is all well and good but your body does need fat to function properly

I hope this helps and you do manage to lose the weight and like I said earlier it does take about 2 weeks to properly start to take effect so you may find that during the third week you do lose something smile keep us posted smile

Hi. Britney or anyone else, can you clarify how to measure fat in my meal? I ate a low cal piece of diet bread that has half a gram fat per slice. On it I put 15 g of light cream cheese that has 2 g of fat per 15 g serving. So have I eaten 3 g of fat total, or should I use math to express how many g of fat per 100 g. I am quite muddled. Thanks for your help.

Lorraine, brilliant! 8lbs is great news. Keep it up.

Now it's my turn. I'm also on FatSecret.
