Has the forum got M.E again ??

I found your article quite helpful.
I just recently had a diagnosis of CFS and did not believe or understand what it was about. It is good to know in your article that may there be some options and support to improve this condition. It is also helpful to know there are books or organisations that may be good for me during this period. I have found that doing a little bit of excercise make me tired but helps me to avoid depression or feeling part of the community.

Jay is right, loads of people prang their cars everyday. However, I can totally relate to how you feel, I have recently given up driving as it was getting too dangerous although I only passed my test in July so I didn't really have much experience to fall back on.
I hope it all works out for yuo
Take crae

thank you so very much for your kind words it means a lot to me.
I'm still ridiculously weak and have to have support to go to the toilet  it is so humiliating  . I've never sufferd quite this bad before and it is reelly scary, I don't seem to have any strength in my legs at all and my head is spinning of its axis, I have slept so much over the last few days and haven't a clue what day we're on. I've been so confused and have lost chunks of time. I could't even remember my daughters name  I hate all this, but I love all of you. Your kindness, suppoert and understanidng is what is really getting me through.
Thanks again everyone, hope you are all doing ok
take care

It's so easy to make a simple mistake like that - I've done it at least twice in my years of driving - and they both happened when I was fit and healthy. It's so easy to be momentarily distracted - there are always so many other things to be thinking about. (I've recently got two speeding tickets - and that's simply because I wasn't concentrating ). :oops:I was probably thinking what I was going to cook for supper that evening.
I'm sure your daughter's friend will understand - I find from experience that they can be very forgiving at that age - that generation are much more laid back than I think we ever were. Hopefully, if it's a simple dent it won't be an insurance job. It can just be pulled out.
All your friends here really feel for you, but , as we've all said - don't be too hard on yourself.
Take care
Katie

Welcome back! I hope everthing is now healing nicely.
Yes, I suffered from really bad night sweats for about the first 6 months of being unwell - I only get them occasionally now though. They were so bad that I ended up having to buy a new mattress, despite having double covers on it. It is one of the symtoms of ME.
I quote from my 'bible' -
ME patients are frequently exhausted, sweat profusely, and body thermostats don't work. They are oversensitive to noises, smells touch and pain and are emotionally unstable.
It also mentions nightmares and dreams - I suffer from both. The dreams are amazing at times but also exhausting. If I sleep in the afternoon (which I do most days now) I fall into a really deep sleep with incredible dreams - I usually wake up quite refreshed for a while whereas at night, I feel more tired in the morning than when I went to bed. I also usually feel as if I have been trampled on by an elephant - and everything aches for an hour or so.
So what you are describing is perfectly normal for this wretched illness, Donna.
Do take care and don't over do it.

How do I know which it is? My body thermostat has always been wonky but worse recently, perhaps it is a bit of both.

BTW, if you want to know about emotional instability, ask my family, apparently I am one of the world's worst . Is it really down to ME? I'd not heard that before,
