Has the forum got M.E again ??

I found your article quite helpful.
I just recently had a diagnosis of CFS and did not believe or understand what it was about. It is good to know in your article that may there be some options and support to improve this condition. It is also helpful to know there are books or organisations that may be good for me during this period. I have found that doing a little bit of excercise make me tired but helps me to avoid depression or feeling part of the community.

Snow has all gone (thankfully) and the sun is shining down but it is extremely cold outside so will stay indoors
Katie - You have all done more than enough just by being here for ME through all my 'blips'
And the hugs worked a treat too, thanks everyone
Although a foot massage sounds heavenly, and i've only got the two feet    I'm allergic to tea tree so please don't use any of that
Poor Max Dog with his sore paws though
Bless him - he's so cute
I think i'm getting a head cold - it felt full of cotton wool yesterday and today i feel like i've got a bunged up ear and i keep having dizzy spells (i hope it don't set my vertigo off  )
Still don't know what to do about the car
but we'll sort something out
Hope everyone is reasonably well-ish today :D

You are a stoic, you made the effort. Take a pat on the back.
Our snow is melting fast but I fear it will freeze tonight.
I took MD in the car to the rec and then to visit his cousin - yes, actual blood cousin - and the cars were all driving like Todd Carty on Dancing on Ice, but the roads have all but cleared now.
Have a :tea: and a piece of my lemon shortbread Daisy, and a licky from Max Dog. :D

How awful - you would think that they could of let you know the meeting was cancelled just out of courtesy
I bet they like you to let them know if you can't make it for any reason though :x
Its typical though, isn't it
Can i ask - do you have trouble with peoples accents - i just had a phone call from a fella with a liverpudlian (?) accent and i could not understand him at all (my cotton wool stuffing didn't help either though)
I tried to explain that i couldn't understand/hear him very well, but he carried on regardless
It left ME feeling very confused :?
Nothing new there then

So a forum meeting it is then ....... :run: .. just off to put the kettle on :coffee: :cupcake: ...... and then we shall begin :D
Blah, blah, blah ....... well that's the meeting over (don't want to exhaust ourselves do we) now we can get on to more interesting things
Yes, what is the matter with everyone .... a little bit of snow and virtually everything has ground to a halt ..... not a single train running from the South East to London and not a single London :bus: (so now we know why there is a red bus emoticon  ).
Absolutely pathetic ..... that's what I call it  Folk are [b:8775851fad]still[/b:8775851fad] off work today and yet the main roads are perfectly clear. That's going to do our flagging economy a world of good
Still advertising 'Snowboard Wax Irons' .... gosh, how on earth have we managed without one all these years I ask
Do hope you have dried out by now Daisy ...... wouldn't be surprised if at this very moment you are soaking in a lovely, hot fragrant bath :towel:  warming up your poor old bod (well not exactly old, if you know what I mean  ).
Who needs an ME group :nahnah:

Have just seen your posting ...... yes, I find accents difficult to decipher particularly on the phone .. that's one of the reasons I [b:033b718377]try[/b:033b718377] to steer clear of them ... the concentration just wipes me out
Funnily enough, I often wonder what we all sound like :? I can tell Teedie has a Scottish accent from the odd 'och' or 'wee' that she punctuates her posts with :D
I don't have an acccent at all apparently but speak the perfect Queen's English :jester: of course
What does everyone else sound like? :D

The snow is falling really heavily now - it was so sunny earlier.
At least I managed to walk there; that is the limit of my walking abilities at present so my legs are letting me know all about it now
Glad MD had a family reunion; he [b:d9e192d90d]does[/b:d9e192d90d] have a nice life :D

My daughter's just had a massive bill following a car service and will also shortly need new wheels  Luckily her hubby has a car mechanic friend so he can do the work much cheaper than some of these so called 'specialist garages' I should imagine that you have shopped around for a few quotes Julia :? Do hope you can find a cheaper one
Well it's been a beautiful day today but there is still a lot of ice around which is a bit scary :yikes: Went out to town with hubby this morning but my legs still feel like lead so my walking was painfully slow. Then came home, had a sandwich and went to bed and slept for two hours
Obviously, rehoming my Ma has really taken it's toll ..... but she is just so happy there and her room is really lovely with lots of her own furniture and pictures. Mind you, it's almost as if she is on holiday in a nice hotel ..... so just hope she doesn't decide that she would like to come home in a couple of weeks :yikes: On yer bike, Mother
Take care everyone, keep warm and watch out for slippery bits :ok:
Can I please book a tea tree oil toe massage now Alicia ... promise I will wash my feet first :towel: :D

Especially, the other week when he just totally disappeared
I'm still laughing about it now  Mind you, I do think in all fairness it was probably time for him to go out this week :run:

You know, I am beginning to think i have Rheumatoid Arthritis.
I know the symptoms are similar but I suffer badly from joint pain. I wake up at night with really painful hips and have to keep changing position.
It's coming up to a year since my first symptoms and these began (some of you will remember) with flu-like pain, joint pains, followed by joint swelling for 5 days in my knees and fingers (like sausages), not to mention the fatigue of course.
I have always had some form of joint pain or just stiffness in the morning and when i get up after sitting for a spell.
The joints affected are: knees, hips, elbows, wrists, fingers and my feet get sore too, although they are not always affected at the same time.
I have been researching RA and it's very similar.
None of you M.E sufferers have had joint swelling in the past, have you :?
My blood results at the time showed a raised ESR (sign of inflammation) but not majorly high so i didn't fit the criteria for referral to rheumatologist.
I am due back to my own G.P on Friday so will possibly ask her to redo my bloods or ask for referral to rheumatology. Do you think this is a feasible request? :?
Look forward to your wonderful suggestions

I thought it was just Alicia and me here !
I knew I could rely on my cyber-buddies not to let a little thing like snow put them off:hug:
Yes, it's completely ridiculous that everything's shut down just because of snow....
.now in[b:dd6b6783ab] my [/b:dd6b6783ab]day we'd have just carried on, getting chillblains on top of chillblains , and making extremely dangerous ice-slides in the playground.....
.instead....all the children are running about in the hail and sleet ....... moan, blah, moan ,blah....need a sit down and a cup of tea after all that:tea: :cupcake:
I agree about the weather person on BBC in the morning - why can't she be in the studio instead of shivering in her matching scarf and gloves..and as for that Sian, she's going to give birth at any moment

Oh poor old you
It certainly sounds a bit like RA from the little I know of it....
I've never had any swelling in all the years I've had ME and now FM
Certainly I would ask your GP for both blood tests [b:890af5dfd9]and[/b:890af5dfd9] a referral to a rheumatologist when you go and see her .
You never know, if they find that's what it is, there may actually be something that could help it so that would be good
:ok:

If she starts thinking about 'going home' , just remind her gently (!) of the things that she found difficult at home, and the good things about where she is now
(speaking from experience of my father here !) :ok:
We've got lots of snow now  but no ice, thank goodness.
I look like an old lady if I have to walk on icy pavements - I'm terrified of ice :yikes:
