Having internal body vibrations/buzzing.

Posted , 170 users are following.

I've been experiencing these body vibrations/buzzing for about 2 months now. It started out mostly at night waking me up between 1am to 4am..if I try to sleep through it it gets worse and even into my head. I've had several really bad mornings where its been so bad I get out of bed in a panic wondering what is wrong...of course this has lead to very little sleep the last couple months. Lately it goes on all day too. At night I can "calm" it with a glass of wine but only to wake up vibrating again. I've been taking anxiety meds and they have no effect. Tried muscle relaxers and they have no effect. I've changed my diet and taking vitamins with no effect. I'm 50 years old and pre pausel as I've had on full period I'm 7 months. Im so tired of dealing with this. Anyone else having this same thing? If so what have they done about it?.I have a doctors app. in two days.

It could be essential tremor, or Parkinson’s.  Or maybe a virus like shingles trying to get you. Try and cut out as much stress as you can, and cut out sugar, gluten and seed oils from your diet and just use olive oil and coconut, peanut oils and butter. Take daily vitamin d in the winter or in summer too if you don’t get much sun in the middle of the day. Make sure you eat plenty of fruits and Veges and do strenuous exercise as many times a week as possible.

to check for parkinsonson try repetitively tapping your hands . If they sort of Peter out after a while go and get checked out by a neurologist. Look up other symptoms which include things like loss of smell, masked face, depression, unusual walk. If it is Parkinson’s the earlier you get diagnosed and start a regime the less likely it will progress fast.

In my case, believe it or not...I have never had chicken pox and I am 58 years old. I have never had any childhood diseases. I don't eat many sugary things. I prefer Splenda to any other non sugar additives. And I am aware that fake sugar has its own long list of contraindications. I do take a vitamin D everyday with a complex B vitamin. I don't eat enough fruit but greens are something I try to incorporate into my diet each day in a salad or cooked veges.. I have a very good sniffer. In fact I smell things that my boyfriend can never smell. I've often wondered if it is sometimes phantom smells that I am smelling. One of them is cigarette smoke and neither of us smoke anything. Weird stuff for sure.

The nightly internal vibrations have slowed down so much, they are almost nonexistent, however,  two weeks ago I started smelling cigarette smoke, mostly during the day.  What the heck is that all about? Ugh.  I’ve been slacking on my vitamin D, magnesium and potassium until yesterday when my joints started to hurt and I remembered that I hadn’t  been doing the daily regiment, so possibly that’s what’s causing the phantom smell.

If it isn’t one thing it’s another 🙄

The cigarette smoke comes and goes with me through out the day and night. It is weird. I do take vitamin D, but not magnesium or potassium. I have pretty bad arthritis in my fingers and my feet. I despise cig. smoke smell. My Mom and Dad were chain smokers back in the 60's and 70's so it caused me to never  even put one to my mouth. And you are right, if it isn't one thing it seems to be another thing. We all just need to stay strong and positive.wink

    Hi there.

    The vibration have stopped..

I even don't know what started it or what stopped it,it still a mistory for me.

I was really worried about it.

    I did not change anything.

So I don't have any advice to give on this vibration.

May we just need to take it slow day by day try not to stress you out.

Be carm and cool down. May be its stress.

If you can work past that stress and it get better than you know that was the cause of it.

Than you everyone for giving me advice.

    God bless and be safe.

    Love you all.

DON'T FORGET TO ALWAYS HAVE A SMILE ON YOUR FACE. 😀😁😊🙂??😘

I have had these inner vibrations for over 12 long years. I am 58. I have seen more gp doctors, neurologists, sleep specialists, Endocrinologists, vein drs, etc then I care to admit. I have some white spots on brain mri’s and mylineated nerve sheaths but nothing else and doctors not sure if related. Most doctors think it’s all in my head...but I know it’s very real.... My symptoms started in my 40’s in my toes and have progressively worked their way up my entire body to feet, legs, torso, chest, stomach, neck, lips, head, even eyes. So now, 12 years later ALL over my entire body. I have begged and pleaded for drs to help me...all to no avail. I don’t think it is hormone related since I had a total hysterectomy at age 28 due to endometriosis with absolutely no negative symptoms. I did not take HRT. It is interesting to note that I do have some other issues that others describe as having in common like a constant buzzing in my ears, TMJ caused by a water skiing accident in my 20’s, and sleep apnea. When my problems first started I had just switched over to taking a generic form of Zoloft and then Wellbutrin I had taken Zoloft for about 8 years prior to that. I quit taking all antidepressants after other ones didn’t work as well and my insurance quit paying for Zoloft. not sure if this is related either. My problems are worse when I wake up but do last all day and night every day. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It's so hard to believe that so many people are experiencing the same thing as me. I'm 43, post menopausal for about a year, and have recently and consistently been experiencing unsettling internal vibrations throughout my whole body. They were just at night...which keeps me from sleeping well, but now they're also during the day. I'm really exhausted and initially thought it was my heart causing this, but my pulse and blood pressure are fine. Nothing else is really wrong except I am type II diabetic and a form of tachycardia. Have any of you found relief yet?

No.. but I did find out this morning that my thyroid level is really high.  My doctor had reduced my meds a few months ago and had me skip one pill a week.  Now my level is at 11.028 and should be under 4.780.. so now back to full dose to see if it has anything to do with it.  I had dizziness prior to that change though.. then this vibration/buzzing started later on.

I have found what works the best for my fibromyalgia has been cryotherapy. Getting frozen for 3 minutes at minus 300 degrees. I started out 3 times a week and felt some relief by the 6th time. It took me 18 times before I went down to 2 times a week and now I go once or twice. It has made the vibration more tolerable. Night is still the worst, but again, I have other issues that are causing it. Unfortunately in practicing medicine, finding the cause is very important. So many things cause the same symptoms. At night when really bad, I have to do sleeping pills, magnesium and muscle relaxers. But I do a lot of natural stuff and switch out, pharmaceutical and natural or both. Every day and night is different for me.

Mine come and go.  I did find an article about it being related to Fibromyalgia, which I have.  Do a search on internal vibrations fibromyalgia, and it should show up.

I think any trauma to body can cause it as well as hormonal. I have many things going on and one or all may cause it. No doctor really knows so far I have found. Many don’t even understand it. They all say it’s muscle spasms. Well mine are so finite that it feels like vibration.

TMJ doctor says he’s found some of his patience have it. I just found out I had cipro (a antibiotic that can damage nerves and ligaments). I have spinal stenosis and possibly myelopathy. And I’m hormonal, who isn’t.

      Don’t give up. Keep looking.

I have it do to fibromyalgia and I also wonder if it’s partly from my TMJ and spinal stenosis. But the fact you are a diabetic leads me to believe it may be from the nerves. I feel it mostly in my feet now and when I walk or use my mouth it is substantially worse. And the worst is at night when I lay flat. You could find out if you have TMJ (which most doctors don’t understand can effect the whole body) by getting a $20 mouth guard and trying it at night to see if it helps calm the vibration. It doesn’t get rid of it totally, but it might decrease it. If it does help, then you know you have to start there. But I also think it could be the diabetes.
