Having internal body vibrations/buzzing.

Posted , 170 users are following.

I've been experiencing these body vibrations/buzzing for about 2 months now. It started out mostly at night waking me up between 1am to 4am..if I try to sleep through it it gets worse and even into my head. I've had several really bad mornings where its been so bad I get out of bed in a panic wondering what is wrong...of course this has lead to very little sleep the last couple months. Lately it goes on all day too. At night I can "calm" it with a glass of wine but only to wake up vibrating again. I've been taking anxiety meds and they have no effect. Tried muscle relaxers and they have no effect. I've changed my diet and taking vitamins with no effect. I'm 50 years old and pre pausel as I've had on full period I'm 7 months. Im so tired of dealing with this. Anyone else having this same thing? If so what have they done about it?.I have a doctors app. in two days.

I've just started getting these and they are driving me crazy. I also have tried a muscle relaxer, a anxiety med, I don't drink and I've tried drinking to stop it. I've reduced my thyroid medication this week. I've been to a heart doctor, a neurologist and the answers just are not adding up. Next month I see a endocrinologist. I'm not ready to just accept this terrible feeling yet. Its waking me up at 4-5 am every morning.

It’s definitely peri menopause. I joined the Power Surge for Women Going through Peri ...Facebook group and there are SO many women going through the exact same thing.

I avoid anything that makes my hormones fluctuate alot (which I've learned over the past year). Most women will tell you that the Estrogen Patch alleviates it most. pills and creams fluctuate too much...

    You're not alone!

Thank YOU Robin!!! 🙏 I will get my estrogen tested then and will try the patches if appropriate. Wouldn't it be so great if something that simple fixed this?! 😃 x

If the tingling/vibration sensations move upward, look into GBS or CIDP.

I think this might be whats at the root of all this This all started fir us when we reached about middle age. Something to consider:

I have the same issues and more. I went through menopause when I was 19. I'm now 30 and in all kinds of distress. I have internal and external tremors 24/7 some days more visible than others. My eyes even shake.. I get pressure in my head and neck. my blood pressure van drop as low as 74 over 50 . I have recently been gaining a lot of weight after being 38 kilos 12 months ago. I suffered from insomnia and depression with severe anxiety and ptsd after some traumatic events and now all I do is sleep especially the tremor is bad..I almost feel as though I am having mini seizures. After much research I have come to find these possible reasons . parkinsons. MS. essential tremor . focal seizures. Complex partial seizures. does anyone else suffer from these.

I just read your post Breanna. I think most of us here have experienced or are experiencing what you're going through.

I sometimes wonder if this is related to the adrenals and metabolic disorders (they're both hormonally related - of course). I wish somebody could answer these questions. It is SO frustrating.

How many people here I wonder suffer from chronic fatigue as well...?

I empathise and sympathise with you.

i posted a while ago that after tons of research and ruling things in and out i discovered the cause is Sleep Apnea request a sleep study from your doctor. in reviewing your symptoms listed you have the symptoms of sleep apnea .

Jstjude are you saying the internal tremors is sleep apnea? If sleep apnea than why does it appear during perimenopause? That means most of us are experiencing sleep apnea in which i know that I don't have. Hormones can be so tricky and cause all sorts of things which doctors fail to acknowledge but rather put another label on it. My sister said she had the same thing but is now post menopause and no longer has it.

I have alot of issues with my eyes oscillating, lots of floaters too. They actually will wake me up with piercing pain at times and frozen like a dead person's body. I had two neck surgeries, cervical myelopathy. The ears are extremely loud and I have tmj. These surgeries effected my whole body. It ended up that my atlas was out of position and wouldn't stay in position. I have CRPS as well as fibromyalgia. It all started with this vibration and electrical issues. I couldn't sleep more than an hour-1/2 at a time. My body also couldn't lay down, yet I was recliner bound. I found Dr. Natasha's book, The hormone diet book, which helped alot. But also my atlas chirorpractor sent me to dr. centeno, top stem cell doctor in broomfield, colorado, who took pain-staking steps to strengthen my atlas ligaments along with all my other ligaments down spine and into hip. I had been given an antibiotic prior to second surgery, this may have weakened my ligaments. Dr. centeno says that vibration can come from the weakened ligaments, especial atlas ligament, which literally keeps your head on straight. He has been strengthening ligaments with my own stem cells first from PRP (my blood stem cells) and later hip stem cells (which are stronger). He's the top stem cell doctor. I'm the 31st person in the world to have stem cells in atlas. He has devised away to get in there without cracking a person's head open.

Dr. Centeno says that certain parts of spine are trying to hold me up that are not supposed to. I don't recall if it's the duramater around the spine or what. But he thinks that is why I "vibrate". These parts are doing a job they weren't required to do and shake while trying to hold me together. I have to say my eyes are finally getting better and steadier slowly. This has been 4 procedures later (a year later). Then I was in a rear-collision. Defnitely took me back, but now stem cells in atlas have kicked in again. I may have to go back to fix hip and mid-back areas again, but we will see. So this has added another 6 months behind. I am not in day 42 of my atlas staying on and I am finally seeing progress. I have hope that I may have a life again.

You are not going nuts. You have to figure out source, but in meantime, the hormone diet might help you with anxiety, depression and energy.

      Hi Angela

What you said was & is ironic to me! It definitely resonated in a lot of ways. This all started happening to me (badly) after I tore my ACL (and required 2 surgeries just recently) = ie definitely ligaments involved.

A lovely lady (who just so happened to be a nurse) that was sitting next to me in my chiropractor's clinic (I went to him for my neck a few weeks back) told me that during surgeries, they definitely really force and lock your head backwards (for a long period) to make sure that your airways remain clear. Could all this cause a cutting-off of oxygen to the brain? Or cause neck damage or a pinching of the nerves? We have to remember that we are 'out' for a very long time when they perform these operations. That's got to have an impact on us, surely???

Is this also related to trauma = ie surgeries/medications affecting our hormones and ears/balance?

I've spoken to a lot of people and so many have said that this began happening to them after surgery - and/or dental work.

God I wish some doctor or specialist would hurry up and define and confirm the cause of this and let us all know!!! Sheesh.

Don't wait for them. Fibro and CRPS came out of these surgeries for me. You could also have tmj, which takes the atlas out. You need to find an atlas chiro in your area and make sure you don't have tmj on top of it. Tmj can debilitate the whole body as well as the atlas. There are many people that develop CRPS after surgeries and it usually starts where the surgery or issue started. Diet and other supplements help, but need to come at the source. If the soft tissue has been damaged, it can get worse if your stem cells are damaged around that area. I'm just guessing here, but when it gets softer from being immobilized or pulled from positioning, just the simple trauma can change everything. Once you locate source or sources and correct problems by either the atlas chiro, tmj, looking at the soft tissue is another area to follow up with. Everything is a domino effect. That's why stem cells ended up helping me. They were taken from my own body, concentrated and reinserted. My tmj isn't totally better, but I can finally chew on nuts and do more talking. Meanwhile my atlas has stayed in. I don't feel so much like a weeble wobble. It's still there but slowly getting better. Stem cells saved my life along with my atlas and tmj doctor.
