Heaven ~ Hell ~ where does purgatory fit in?

We've discussed in quite detail about that "afterlife" and I'd like to go back and forth if you will join me. I have a puzzling question that's been with me since as far back as I can recall.
If some say there is a heaven and a hell, are we in purgatory?

How do you feel your near death experience changed your way of thinking? I mean, what stages do you feel we go through now that you've had a chance to see what it's like? Do you agree with heaven, hell and purgatory? And do you feel we are or are not in purgatory.
I wanted to clear something up because someone mentioned that this isn't purgatory to them (now, on earth). It very well could be that it isn't purgatory for them. Perhaps this is a "life" experience that is going on with you. Perhaps, you've not come to that point that you've been sent back to "purgatory" and when the time comes, you may see that just because it's not purgatory to you, it is to someone else, does this make any sense to any of you? (That second paragraph wasn't exclusive, although I did write it in reply to Peter).
Warm regards,

so glad the hospital treated you with the respect due and also took an interest in your experience. So did you make any personal resolves? Do you feel you have passed through a stage and in some way reached towards greater enlightenment?
Maybe we are all at different stages in the 'redeemption' process? Is that what's in your mind frustrated?

Interesting idea and I cannot even contest this as you had this experience and I haven't therefore, I hear what you're saying.
Sounded like an experience I'd write about. Have you done this in a professional manner? You express yourself well while writing and I believe you have a wonderful story to share.

I also have opened my way of thinking as well. Just because I learned one way doesn't mean it's the right way. Like Peter, he actually had this experience. I was on the OP table myself and did have to be brought back but my only memory of this was floating over myself and following the doctor down the hall talking with my mother and boyfriend (at that time) and then CODE BLUE was announced over the PA and the doctor excused himself and that's when I felt that pull back to my body. I believe what Peter experienced and that has opened my mind to the 3 heavens.
Again, thank you for your post
much love

...if they had decided DNR ....but you come back anyway!!!!!!
wonder if they had started to 'tidy up' the theatre...but then your chest raised or you made a gasp of inspiration for air. What a dramatic moment !!

Yes that is an interesting take on the Devil. I have him in Purgatory (Hell, Hades) not as ruler but as chief prisoner. The intreguing question is whether ruler and chief prisoner is actually one and the same since no one in Purgatory would choose to be there, whatever their role.

Personally, I don't believe they are one of the same. Chief prisoner is just that, one who chiefly deserves to be put into "doom" forever, hence, the "devil, satan, etc..." The Ruler, is our Lord. This is my opinion and other's may feel differently and that's fine. I'm up for diversity as well and can always be convinced otherwise if the argument is a good one.

There is an example in history. Napoleon when deposed as Emperor was banished to Elba where he was nominal ruler. He escaped and for a few months made a lot of trouble. Defeated and captured he was imprisoned on St Helena. No fiction of ruler any more.
I agree with you. Jesus Christ is King of kings and Lord of lords. There is none like him. The Shah of Persia styled himself King of Kings and fled his Peacock Throne when he lost power to a rebellion, He ,mocked the true King of kings and fell from power.
Back to the Devil, Satan, Father of Lies, Murderer from the beginning. Yes a prisoner and a powerless one at that. An ordinary angel led him away to his incarceration. I was casting around for a harmony with Peter's view. You didn't buy my effort. Thank you for your helpful comment.
