HOW TO CURE ANAL FISSURE QUICKLY...

Hi Everyone - I can tell you how to cure Anal Fissure's quickly...

Firstly, my experience was horrible just like everyone else. I have read that it can be more painful than childbirth! Mine started from an overly large bowel movement that ripped me in 3 places. The pain was so bad that i passed out on my bathroom floor with blood and feecies hanging out of me when i woke up. The doctor gave me suppositories and anasthetic cream but nothing was working. I have concucted a reigime that has cured it in nearly three days. When i read on forums that it can take a few weeks i said to my self 'There is no way im living with this pain for that long'! EVERYTHING HURTS.... Sneezing, Laughing, Coughing, Walking, Sitting, Lying down... the list goes on... follow these steps and it cleared up 3 days.

1. Your going to need a few things from the shop - The first is Anusol Cream (despite people saying its not as good as preperation H and other stuff its has worked wonders for this reigime and is designed for anal fissures and hemeroids. The second is COCONUT OIL (MAGIC STUFF).... Anchient chinese cultures still use this to heal wounds of all kinds and this really was the turn around stuff for me. Thirdly... Ibuprofen for temporary pain relief and lastly Dulcolax tablets... I will show you how to use all these products for a quick repair in a minute...

2. Psychology ... DO NOT sit at home and wollow in pain and sadness. Go to work, see your friends, live a normal life but be careful. Positive mentality keeps you relaxed and promotes healing. When i was at work i barely felt any pain because i was so distracted, but when i was at home it was constant pain. Make sure you do this, im certain this has really helped. Also do not be affraid to tell people exactly whats wrong with you, i have found great amusment talking to people about it and 6/7 of the people i spoke to had been sufferers too, its nice to know your not the only one and you can see them well and happy!

Here is my reigime that saved me:

1. The night before take 1-2 of the Dulcolax, it doesnt kick in until the morning but you need this so you dont damage yourself further. It is not a laxative it makes it all soft and squidgy and it just falls outta you. Minimal pain.

2. In the morning your gonna need to have a bowel movement, before you do. Run a bath and put a few table spoons of cocnut oil in it. (hot bath), then have your bowel movement. Mine was too painful to wipe so as soon as i finished i hopped in the bath and the water IMMEDIATELY relives the pain (BLISS).. and the coconut oil moisturises and heals. Stay in there for a good 10-20 minutes and then i promise you it wont be hurting as much now so now you can apply the anusol cream.

3. Before you head off to work or start your day, take 2 ibuprofen. After all this, it will sting a little but by day 3 you can barely feel anything.

4. Make sure you take your ibuprofen after breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had high fibre cereal for breakfast, water all day normal lunch and whatever for dinner.

5. Make sure you re-apply cream if you have a bowel movement during the day. I tried to just have one in the morning so i could not aggrovate my anus too much.

6. After dinner, take your ibuprofen, run a bath with coconut oil and just sit and relax for as long as you can (make sure you put NOTHING in your bath except the cocnut oil as soaps and stuff can dry you out and make it worse).

7. Before bed, take your dulcolax again drink plenty of water and get good nights sleep.

This regime has fixed me in 2 1/2 days pretty much which i found amazing (i think it was the cocnut oil, which stings like a bitch but is AMAZING, i doesnt numb pain but it promotes healing). I am so pleased to be living a normal life again so quickly as i thought i would never be the same again. It is really important you dont fester at home doing nothing as it will only make it worse, go out, see the world and forget that its there.

Hope this helps people as it has really helped me and i wanted to share this with others.

Hope you all feel better soon! Keep smiling and never give up!!

Peace & Love

I've been suffering for 6 months now, THANK GOD the daily agony ended after 4 months and now its more of an aching.  The only thing that changed the  pain of passing glass and the 8 hour spasmic torture that no amount of pain meds would ease was first a prescription that my sister had found useful and then huge improvement after recieving prayer.  When I requested the prescription from my Doctor, she said that it was for hemhroids only, however I insisted!! I got the prescription and low and behold it say's right on the bottle for hemrhoids AND rectal legions.  From the very first day that I used it I was already experiencing releif from the never ending pain, every day thereafter the pain decreased. I continued with 3 warm baths a day and used the cream before any bowel movement and after, then again in the evening, so pretty much 3 times a day.  I was very liberal with the ointment and please take note if you live in canada Shoppers is the most cost effective place to get your prescriptions, I was originally being charge $15 more per bottle by another pharmacist until I discovered this! So make sure to shop around! The prescription is Proctol Ointment; Hydrocort/Framyc/Cincho+.  My Doctor keeps referring to it as Proctomysin but the above is the kind I've been recieving. Now alothough this ointment took away the excrutiating pain it actually doesnt heal the fissure at all, and after months of overuse I sometimes get a terrible itch as the use of ointment over long periods of time breaks down your skin. I now use anti itch cream and started nitroglycerin treatment.  I thought the Nitroglycerin treatment was supposed to give you terrible headaches however my surgeon wanted me to try it as a last result before surgery.  My surgeon said that as long as you dont touch the Nitro with your fingers and only dab small amount (think wasabi) then you wouldnt get headaches.  She said to start out slowly and gradually increase the application (think a few grains of sand).  I use it 3 to 4 times a day its compunded at 0.2%,  I have had prescriptions for nitro before that were compounded with too high a percentage and the pharmacist outright refused to fill it as prescribed and contacted the walk in doctor who prescribed it to me, so beware! Anyways this has worked for me, and I feel like its been healing up now.  However when I end up with a large stool or diahrea resulting in aching pain then I use the Proctol ointment for a couple days, once the pain is gone I resume the nitro treatment again.  Note that before using nitro ointment it wouldnt just be aching pain, it would be easing off my but pain and bleeding for a day until the protol ointment kicked in.  I'm in my 4th week of nitro ointment, I hope it does the trick!  It has been a long journey and I've discovered that what works for one person may not work for another, especially with diet.  I've finally worked out the perfect menu plan that doesnt cause constipation or diahrea and I walk for 5 to 20 minutes every morning (I dont always have time for more than 5 but every bit counts in loosening your stool and moving your bowels smoothly).  I've tried coconut capsules which worked for a bit but then started agravating my fissures when the hard capsule would push against it, I tried softening the capsule but then it would be too melted to actually stay in.  I visited my doctor weekly, I missed a month of work, I paid to see a naturopath then paid $80 for suppositories from accross the country that smelled like cheese, and then I couldnt even finish the treatment b/c like the coconjut oil capsules they scraped, pushed and agravated my fissures or wouldnt stay in.  So you could say I've exhausted every avenue but surgery...however I have seen the surgeon and definitely will get botox if this nitro doesnt work (the surgeons last resort before surgery). I've started going to church regularly again in the past 6 months and it has sure helped to have Gods support to hold onto for hope and strength and peace when there was nothing left to hold on to.  Good luck and God Bless all of you, I hope you find your path to healing!!

You said, " The only thing that changed the  pain of passing glass and the 8 hour spasmic torture that no amount of pain meds would ease ".....

That sums it up perfectly.  I have also heard people compare fissures to childbirth - that never ends.

I am through the worst of mine now, since January/February.  Still dealing with painful skin tags.  I talked about having them removed and was told its extremely painful so opted not to for now - have had more than my share of pain through all of this.  Just an awful awful experience.

Glad you are finding some results, and wish you continued healing.

Coconut oil is amazing! Firstly a MASSIVE thank you to Morris72638 for the inspiration and idea of coconut oil. It's early days but I really think this has saved me.

As a brief overview, my fissure kind of multiplied (I now have 3) and just got worse over a period of 5 painful and uncomfortable months. I have seen doctors and specialists and tried all the creams so was just considering surgery when at 1 am last Saturday I decided to have a desperate attempt at a natural remedy and couldn't believe how many people suffer from this!

To cut a long story short, after hours of reading various remedies, I tok a bit from all and my regime goes like this:

Most importantly, get some raw organic virgin coconut oil (£8 from Amazon- Optima brand or from a health food shop) and mix it with Anusol cream (yes I know, the Anusol cream never worked by itself but this really does) then make it into suppositories! I used tin foil to make little molds (10 min job). You then need to freeze them. They are solid in 10 minutes.

Have a shallow bath in the morning with a couple of tablespoons of coconut oil in it (thanks Morris 72638) then use a suppository. Use the suppositories all day whenever you can. If you work full time like me, have another shallow coconut oil bath when you get home from work and keep up the suppositories. Have one last shallow bath before bed. Drink 2 litres of water throughout the day. I take 20 ml of lactulose in the morning and 40 at night so water is really important.

I have also temporarily cut out almost all carbs and sugar and reduced portions. The efffect of this is the less you eat, the less you poop so only one bowel movement in he morning and then you're done. I have Belvita breakfast biscuits and an orange juice in the morning, soup at lunch (tomato or broth)with NO bread then salmon and a small amount of sweet potato and butternut squash mashed up with water at night (the more liquids the better) and it is nuch nicer than it sounds. Yes, I am hungry for most of the day but if you are as desperate as I was, you won't care. I am not overweight and this is making me lose a bit which is not great but I'll put it back on later!

I have been doing this for 6 days only and I would say my pain has been reduced by 80% if not more and each day is slightly better. In the next few days I will try to increase my food intake gradually to something a bit more normal.

Now I get up, 10 min coconut bath, BM and wipe with water only wipes (£3 from Tesco), back in the bath for 10 mins then suppositories (about 8 through the day) and I am relatively pain free through the day and the bit of pain I get is NOTHING in comparison to the pain I was crying with before.

Oh I forgot, a neck cushion to sit on while driving, working also helps. I told my colleagues it was to help with my back ( who cares?)

You can still do this with a full time job and hectic lifestyle. Hope it works for someone else. Good luck. You really have my sympathy. Have never had so much pain. I'm going to be carrying on with this rigid regime for another couple of weeks I reckon but I don't mind at all. Anything that works is worth it!

Hi guys. I actually just created account do I could comment. I had my first baby 2 months ago and ended up with haemorrhoids from all the pushing. After a few weeks one tore and now I have an anal fissure and I as someone that had no pain relief during labour I can confirm the pain is worse than child birth. Reading this discussion has filled me with hope that it will get better. It took me a while to get help for it because I was looking after a newborn but as of yesterday I have made major changes after talking with my Gp. I'm done with solid food for a good while & buzzing down all my meals. I've cut out meat and other foods that can potentially constipate me. He prescribed me suppositories and a topical cream as well as laxatives. I'm taking stizs baths in coconut oil after each bm or at least twice day.

I've been reading what all you have being doing and wondering about the coconut oil suppositories. Do the really burn that much? I'm worried they'll make the pain worse. Also does anyone rub the coconut oil on their anus? Again just worried about making my pain worse! TIA

      Hi Suin,

Sorry you are experiencing this. It's awful. The first day of coconut oil suppositories is a bit painful but not at all as painful as a bm! After a few times they are not painful at all and they don't sting that much, even when you first start. Definitely give it a go. It's really helping me. Unfortunately, cutting right down on food is a must. I'm starving all the time but having just 1 bm per day and the pain has dramatically decreased.

I can also recommend magnesium citrate. Promotes healing and really calms muscle spasms. Take one tablet 3 times a day. Good luck!

Thank you for taking the time to reply!! I will have a look for those tablets during the week. I am am at the stage where I will try ANYTHING! I'm finding the coconut oil amazing for pain relief in a sitz bath. I will give the suppositories a go when my course of prescribed ones are done, even they are too much for me to bare at the moment.

Just about the spasms. Are they the throbbing feeling in the anus that lasts for hours after a BM? they are awful, any other suggestions on how to relax them?

Also I had a bm today & it's been about 3 hrs and I would put my pain gone from a usual 9 - 10 to a 4! I hope everyday goes this well! I feel like I'm on the road to recovery now, feeling positive!

      Hi,

Yes! They are the spasms I was talking about. They are awful. I found the magnesium citrate tablets really helped with them as magnesium targets spasms but as soon as you can get on to the suppositories, that will make a difference. If you can't do it now, maybe try applying a bitnof coconut oil mixed with anusol as close as you can with your little finger (sorry to be graphic). You will still have setbacks (i am doing) but stay positive! I'm about to start trying to reintroduce some solid foods a bit at a time and move from making coconut oil suppositories to the more convenient anusol suppositories you can buy. Good luck with it. I know how painful it is!

      Hi,

Have just discovered another solution which may work for you! As i am going abroad next week and can't use frozen suppositories, i have got the smallest syringe possible from my pharmacy (they actually gave it for free), attached an anusol applicator to it and am going to use this to "inject" it inside. The tube is tiny and it's minimal pain. I am using my usual coconut oil and anusol mixture but putting it in the syringe as a liqud since coconut oil melts so easily. 2 small syringes full= 1 suppository. Taken me a while to think of this one but it works and gets around the problem of the fact that there is no way I will be able to get coconut oil to stay solid in the heat abroad. Hope this helps!

That's a really good idea zarz. How many mls is on the syringe you got? Must be 1 or 2 mls if it's small.....It actually sounds a lot better to me at this stage than suppositories! I know what you meant about using your smallest finger (very graphic!) to insert the cream and oil but I still dread even the thought! Good luck with the solid foods, give an update, I'd be interested to hear!

OMG - having jut come out of months of hell dealing with this - there is NO little finger that would be little enough!!!

Good thinking about the syringe - thing about this, is you just have to find ANYWAY to deal with it that works for you.  Very ingenious.  ]

Good luck to you both - hang in there - it will one day be behind you.

      xx

Hi Suin. Yes i think it is a 1ml but you still need an anusol applicator . I did find the idea of suppositories and the experience horrendous at firstand wad petrified but couldn't sit, lie, stand, walk so in the end I just thought the pain couldn't be any worse so gave it a go through desperation. I recently had a sigmoidoscopy while the fissures were there and it was no worse than that!

I have an applicator so when my course of prescribed suppositories are finished I'm going to start with the anusol/coconut oil. How long have you been using the homemade suppositories for? My gp reckons I'll take about 6 weeks to heal, I'm one week down and so far so good! Hopefully there's no setbacks. ....

GREAT advice Morris.  I've only been dealing w/ this fissure for a few weeks now.  Just wanted to provide my update - I'm on day 3 using Morris's reco and it definitely works.  One thing I've done is use a use gum tray and melted the coconut oil and then threw in freezer.  They pop out like gum - and a great way/size to use to use after a bm.  I used to have a 2/3 of the toilet paper covered w/ bright red blood - now on day 3 not visible at all, still with some pain (about a 1-2 vs. an 8-9 just a few days ago).  I've been using psillium husk w/ protein shakes for most meals over the past few days - seems to really help.  Good luck everyone.

For me, it's just moving my bowels that hurts. As a professional, I had it looked at by one of my co workers, and it was only small, about as thin as a paper cut. However, it still feels like a knife digging into your anus slowly and sweetly taking its thin ol' time. Mines about sealed, and it's been 2 days, and I followed the steps you did, and it's been clearing up wrather quickly, so it should be healed completely by tomorrow. The best thing to bare the pain is to bite onto something, or scream. Scream as much as you need to. (if you live alone and someone won't think your mercilessly dying as you sit on the toilet drowing in your own pain and sorrow), mine was not as NEAR bad as yours. I'm going to extend your list, yet using what you did because I FULLY agree on what you wrote there. Now, when mine ripped, it was so small I could barely feel anything. But the next time my bowels needed to move, it hurt like a hornet stinging my butthole 2,000 times.

4 1/2. On the topic of food, you definately need to eat healthy. This helps your body build up strength to help the wound close. However, on my account, it only hurts SOME TIME, when I have a lot to get out, or when I've slept a lot.

6 1/2: On that topic, NEVER try to hold it in and eat. This will just build up more fecal matter and can risk you being ripped even more by an overly large piece of poo.
