I think probably alot of us give up too quickly and run to these doctors for "relief" and they put us on pills or iud's, or do ablasions or hysterectomies and prob if we just held on the symptoms would get better. ..
Anyone on here suffer from heavy periods/anemia, heart racing/palps, and other nasty symptoms but do nothing and just tough it out?

Reading these messages has made me cry with relief, that other people know how it feels, to feel so poorly, is a comfort. I've had MRI, endoscopy, sigmoidoscapy, next is pelvic area to find out where all this discomfort is coming from. I wake often at 3am have tummy pain, then hot flush. Recently I've had lower abdominal burning pain, like in about to have a monster period BUT NOTHING. Migraines, nausea, very low mood. I'm 51 and only had 1 period in 12 months. Thanks ladies for your messages, God bless you 😘

It is horrible isn't it? My worst symptoms are heart racing in the morning (sometimes wakes me up middle of the night too) and the heavy periods with big clots that last up to a month and leave me feeling panicked and drained. .. hard to get up the stairs sometimes without panting for a minute afterwards and I was never like that before. I do try to go for moderate walks every evening just to prove to myself that I'm not going to allow this to keep me down or end up bed ridden! Lol. My resting heart rate is at least 10 to 15 bpm faster than it was before. This has increased to constant over about 1 -2 years. Back a few months ago it was 60 nearly all the time except for periodic episodes of racing, palps, and morning tachycardia. Now I wake up with it going like 90, then it slows to maybe 70-78 during the day. Rarely goes slower than 70 even when I'm completely calm and still. This drives me nuts. ... ugh.
Then the constant fear of when the "never ending/heavy periods" are going to start up again!I just kind of live with this stress 24/7 and sometimes feel sorry for myself to an extent and it gets me a little down. I don't feel like I can work because I feel so awful the first few hours of the morning. So I'm worried about my finances too on top of everything else. I don't have family or anyone to lean on through this so it gets very discouraging and you know how it is. ..you have to pretend to be fine to most people because not only do they not care but any sign of weakeness from women these days is frowned upon. So it's hard going through this with no friends or family or partner to turn to.I have adult daughters but they are burdened enough as it is by my medical issues and they both have Dysautonomia and some other congenital issues of their own so it is very hard on our family with me now entering into even more issues! People at large do not acknowledge or recognize menopause as being "a big deal" nor do they understand Dysautonomia or other lesser known symptomatic diseases and so you are left with having to try to stifle and disguise your symptoms or like me, unable to work but debilitated and alone. People don't take you seriously, they don't understand and they don't like weakness or disability. I've found myself in a very lonely and isolated world of near constant suffering and stress since it all started. A pity they don't have live support groups for ladies going through perimenopause.

I googled "I feel like I'm dying premenopausal" and this forum came up.
Is this really normal? I just turned 43 and I feel like I'm old and dying.
Hot then cold, I have bladder issues all a sudden that come and go and I got a bladder infection test that was negative even though I feel like I have one most the time. Then I have sudden gushes of clear fluids that come out of me 😟 then the same thing happens for days before my period then I have my period after already 5 days of clear fluid and my periods are beyond heavy. Blood test came back I'm now anemic. Next they are doing vaginal ultrasound and I think a uterus biopsy.
There checking for cancer before deciding I'm premenopausal.
I'm so freaked out!!!
I wake up at 5 having to pee, my guts hurt for hours in the morning then gets better but still comes and goes.
I feel like I'm gonna have my period at any minute like all the time throughout the day. My hair fell out on the crown of my head I can see my scalp, I can't lose weight, feel sad and depressed, no motivation and anxiety comes and goes. Yep it feels like death!
Is this premenopausal or something else do you think?

Hi Sherry
I just screen shot your post to show my hubby. He is VERY supportive and patient, but I think it helps when he reads things that I say a lot. And I too googled the same thing. This forum has been a tremendous help. SO many of us feel just like you do.
I think it's good that you get the tests done to ease your mind. My periods stopped 9 months ago at 48. Will be 50 in December. Been feeling this way for 2 years. This forum made me realize it's peri. Hope it helps you as well. Anxiety seems to be the chief complaint that hormone imbalance causes. Let alone all the other AWFUL symptoms, and feeling old. Hang in there and keep reaching out. Hugs.
Nancy

It sounds like Peri to me ... I had days of that weird... before your period achiness in my stomach. My hair also went very brittle on one side and kept breaking off .
And yes you definitely pee more sometimes I go like 5 times before bed as I don’t want to be up in the night .
Most women with bad Peri and meno have high anxiety .
And I could happily lie in bed all day ! So don’t worry your age and symptoms are all indicative of Peri !

Sherrie613,
I completely understand! I am 46 currently but my peri started around 39 and I remember asking my gyn about the gushes of clear fluid and he looked at me like I was losing my mind and told me he had never heard of this! I never had a single urinary symptom my entire life and in the last 6 months, omg, I feel like I have to urinate constantly, frequency/urgency, it is the worst. The last 2 years have been awful. Stomach cramps, diarrhea/constipation, the most embarrassing gas. I feel like I have aged 10 years in the last 2 years. I wish that I had an idea of when this would improve. I can't comment on the period issues as I had a hyster 10 years ago for prolapse but even taking Estradiol 2mg daily doesn't help much. I can't imagine what this would be without HRT. I have read in articles that women who have had issues with PMS and/or postpartum depression typically have rough perimenopause. I never had issues with PMS but I had the worst postpartum after the birth of my children. I see lots of women posting that ages 46-48 are pretty awful so I am trying to pace myself since this may persist. I am grateful for all the women that post, it makes me feel like I am not going crazy. Sherrie613, the women on this forum are super supportive, we can get through this together!
