Kim, Taking vitamin D3, fish oil, and magnesium should help you relieve some of the symptoms. There are vitamin pills for women over 40 or in menopause which I have found are helpful. Some women take Menopace they say has also helped them. You may want to try something like this if you're not taking something already.

Hi, Kim. How old are you? What stage of the menapause Are you, do you know?

Hi your ok it is most definitely peri related i remember feeling the same all test normal but i still felt ill it will pass many women has felt the same its a horrible feeling im past a lot of the symptoms but at times they try to peak out but my worst was the health anxiety but i have been through much including feeling nauseous weird head pain weird chest pain aching arms aching shoulders wrist elbows I even sometimes felt like my period was going to start but never did I still felt the symptoms stomach fluttering teeth aching ears aching ears ringing blurred vision you name it I've been through it I believe there are 66 menopause symptoms and I believe I experienced all of them hang in there there is a light at the end of the tunnel it doesn't fully go away but you start to feel better as the symptoms disappear the ladies here are so helpful I can't remember feeling so doomed I felt as if the world was ending that I was dying from a horrible death but it was all due to menopause so hang in there and never hesitate to ask questions with the ladies they're so great helpful God bless

Hi Monique, I am just backing you up on everything you say.

Listen to this lady as she is telling the truth! I too must have

had every flippin symptom there is. But we are proof you do get

through it. I am also still having some affects and I am 56, but

things get easier. Trust us, we are wise!😀lol!

Sorry,Monique I don't know how old you are you may gave gone

      through it earlier than me.

It is not pleasant, but for me it is still preferable than the living

      nightmare I had with periods.

Stay strong. Said it before and I will say it again, treat yourselves

      Good!😊😊😊

      Best regards to you all

Quite a while I am sorry to say, but that doesn't mean you will, as we

have all said everyone is different even though a lot of us have the same

      symptoms.

But I have got through most of it even though at 56 I am still getting

some symptoms. Do things that make you happy, I like to watch

comedy on the gold channel (uk) I think laughter is the best medicine

Let's face facts, this is happening to us and we have got to get through

It the best we can, if we all help each other we can share our remedies.

My two granddaughters are my saviour, they take my mind off everything.

Find something good to focus on, it really helps.??

      Hi Monique,

I'm 52 and had a hysterectomy in 2013, the doctor left my ovaries intact because he said by removing them it could throw me into full blown menopause. With that being said I've been suffering since 2010; the last 3 years has been torture. This last year, the absolute worse. I wake up every morning with the 66++++ symptoms. Like you, all my blood work always comes back normal. Going through menopause is debilitating. I don't sleep, severe night sweats, severe hot flashes, which will then send me to the bathroom where I have diarrhea every morning for an hour or so. I work two jobs and I'm exhausted 24-7, therefore, on the weekends I try to rest hoping by Monday I will feel rejuvenated, but it never happens. I often call out sick, go home sick, go home with my office clothes soaked due to excessive sweating. I often make up stupid excuses with work because menopause is something that a lot of women don't discuss. I suffer most with physical side affects and anxiety. To live like this daily is true torture. I try to stay positive but its not easy, especially when your in pain. My joints hurt daily, my back is killing by 3:00pm, headaches, migraines, nausea, sleep deprived, chest pain, heart beating fast, in the bathroom 24-7, and completely wiped out. I'm ready for bed by 7:30, and/or will make myself go to bed early because I know when 2:00am comes I'm going to be awaken with hot flashes/night sweats and then running to the bathroom. Then the anxiety and panic attacks come into play, and from there I begin to pray, please god, let me see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sad to say, and I would never hurt myself, but I have moments where I start thinking, I'd rather be dead then go through this. I refuse to have hormone treatment, and do my best with home remedies. Its rare that I have a good day, I find myself begging in head, "please, just let me get through this before menopause ruins my life completely." My life is literally on hold until I can get through this. Menopause is a daily feeling of constant fear too, because you really do feel like you're slowly dying, well I do anyway. I hope the worse is over for you, thank you for sharing. More women need to start talking more about this and I think it should be discussed in the work place. It can be a touchy subject, but I want my voice heard and others too.

Thank you for sharing and I hope you're feeling better. smile

Omg, same symptoms!  I have them all right now (not the ringing ears but headaches instead).  Thanks for sharing.  I am 44 and def must be peri but doctors don't say or recognize this.  Why?  Feel so doomed right now.  Oh and tired and unproductive all the time.  Chest pain is a bit scary and doctor referred me to cardiologist (heart disease in family) but if it is hormonal, I am not sure anything will show up?

Theresa, are you taking anything to help? My daughter was severe like this. Could barely get out of bed from pain and anxiety. She was barely functioning. She finally found a doctor that is adjusting her hormones, addressing food intolerance and changing her diet. Her palpitations, severe anxiety and overall pain have been much better. It all started in her early 20's.

Have you had any body aches? For the past week I've been waking up with body aches , chest, legs, arms, just abput every where. It feels like my bones are even aching. If I move around alot it gets worse, even aches on the but bones. I seriously think it may be time for replacing hormones but trying to hold out since i keep hearing it gets better. I really hope so.

      Mary,

How are you feeling these days?? Praying you are feeling much better!!

I'm just scrolling through here, trying to convince myself I'm not dying.

Achey, with burning skin all over today. Tailbone hurts. Low back hurts. No appetite. Migraine. Gut issues.

I've been to the Dr. 3 times in 10 days. Missing the best weather we've had all summer because I feel like hell.

Hope you're doing well!! If not, you are not alone!!

Sara you sound like me at times. Low back ache and even sometimes up my spine, no or low appetite, headache, digestive issues (I never need a laxative) shoulders stiff, brain fog cloudiness and.... But God! I just pray every day for God to send the relief and some days are better than others but thank God we have each other here. Let's keep the faith and get through this mess!! X

Hi Sara ..just scrolling through my emails and saw this message. Sorry that you aren't feeling too well..since I last posted I've been feeling fairly good lately. The burning stopped along with other symptoms. I think the burning may be triggered from certain foods also..you may want to start monitoring what you eat. For the past couple of weeks. it's been a big turn around. I've even been working out at the gym. I'm desperately trying to gain back some of the weight I've lost. It does get better..I'm a witness. .I'm noticing the bad days are around the same time of the month. I think I've crossed the worst part. Hang in there.

      Thanks, Jaynie!!

You have inspired me... I'm taking a lawn chair to the park this weekend to just watch the world go by for a bit.

      Hope you're doing well!!

      Amen, Crystals!!

I would be truly lost without you and the lovelies here. We had our daughter later in life, so I tend to hang with her friends' parents (mostly younger) and I have to remind myself I'm not 30 anymore and it's ok if I don't feel like it.

Praying you have good days ahead, and soon!!

Mary, I am so thrilled for you!!! I'm a bit whiney this week, lol. I had a few good weeks in a row, then I hurt my back, and for whatever reason, the injury has brought up some old symptoms. maybe because I haven't been able to move as fast as usual. Makes me crabby!!

Glad to hear you're doing better!! Pray that's the new normal for you, dear!

Hi Monique, I also have those weird chest pains and aching shoulders and I've felt a few weird arm pains the last day or two, so now I'm thinking cancer.... I've been diagnosed with frozen shoulder which from what I've read and what the doctor said....it takes a few years to go away....so I'm thinking that the new pains I'm feeling are due to using my other shoulder, chest and arms more than I did previously...but, it's so scary. I just want to feel better. I've done a lot of research on menopause and I know that my hormones...all of them...are out of whack...so I keep waiting and hoping that I'll feel better. I had no clue how bad this was going to be. So, in closing...have you gotten better? I sure hope so!

omg!! i cant believe you all have the same thing as me!! last week i had an ultrasound of my left upper arm and xrays of my shoulder and ct scan of my heart and carotid arteries to rule out blood clot in my arm and blockages in the arteries because of the chest pain and burning feeling like i have a sun burn..everything came back normal so of course they couldn't tell me whats wrong with me !!

Hi Maria, I have been getting a burning or slight stinging feeling on my skin, you describe it well when you say it is like a sunburn. I have had it around my neck, chest and arm. I have been wondering whether it is part of my migraines or peri meno, or maybe both! I have just had so many strange symptoms in peri, but no dr or specialist will ever agree to this. But I have had SO many tests to rule out diseases and disorders, it just has to be menopause!

      Hi Jen,,

Thats where i feel it also..i use to get so anxious i thought was my heart!!seems if im stressing about something it comes on.. like you i had so many tests! i have an appointment with the rheumatologist coming up, my hands feel swollen and hurting special in the mornings..do you get headaches? i have one for the past 3 days and i dont know what to take, nothing works for me..

    • Edited

Oh yes, lots of headaches. I have been diagnosed with chronic daily headaches with migraine by a couple of different Neurologists. These didnt start until i hit 41 and peri, I am 44 now and still suffering with them. I take a preventative for mine, half dose anti depressant (nortriptyline). It does help with the head pain and helps me sleep, but nothing much else. Panadol etc does nothing for my headaches 😦

My life completely changed on the onset of starting menopause, harrowing morning anxiety and horrible bladder pain. Ruined my life, lost my full time job, had a nervous breakdown!!!

Feel for you morning anxiety it the worse, went through that for a while. Feels like you can't do anything, talk to your Dr. to see if they can give you something. Jokey,

I am 59 years old and my worst menopause symptoms hit several weeks ago. It was during a very stressful moment in my life. All through my 40's and early 50's, it was just hot flashes and mood swings. Suddenly the nausea, heart palpitations, feeling like passing out. Headaches, hot flashes, cold flashes and feeling of impending doom! I suddenly felt afraid, sad and lonely. These were not my previous qualities. Even my husband noticed the change in me, thinking I didn't have strong faith anymore. All I could think of is how I wanted to be young again. Get my hormones back again. It is difficult to make men understand what we are feeling. I am trying to keep my focus on my faith in God and on things that make me smile or laugh. I think it helps if you have a good support group like this discussion. So thankful for all of you.

      Hello,

I am 53 years old and other than the occasional hot flush and insomnia my major menopause symptoms have mainly been passing out (3 x admissions to A&E) since November 2019, nausea, constant blurred vision and feeling like I am dying every minute of everyday! After all the scans/tests//specialist appointments my endocrinologist "diagnosed" with an extreme drop in my oestrogen (from 286 down to 57 within 4 months) and hence sudden onset of the perimenopause. Ive had no other option than to go on 50mg oestrogen patches (which have helped significantly with all my symptoms) but i am now struggling to tolerate the progesterone part of the HRT, which is a whole different story/problem in itself... basically it makes me feel very unwell, but the oestrogen has really helped and Ive proved to myself the other week that I cannot live without it as I tried reducing the patch size week by week and when I got down to 12.5mg size, i almost passed out again.

I feel for everyone that is suffering so much, theres no easy answer but we just need to continue talking and sharing. Sending love and prayers to you all. xxx

I can deal with anything but this horrible headaches are the worst😭

I suppose to have my period this week but nothing yet..what do you take for your headaches?

    • Edited

Hi Tastic, yes the symptoms of hormone decline is rough! I'm 49 and the signs of estrogen decline are becoming much more noticeable. I'm on bioidentical progesterone and Estriol. The Estriol is helping but I'm not on the full dose as I'm still having periods. I haven't had any fainting but have had moments of lightheadness and disorientation moving my head down and side to side. I feel fuzzy and woolly headed. Granted, migraines are a huge issue for me as well as neck issues. But I'm finding the lightheaded is worse now than it was and the other symptoms go along with it. I wear the acupressure motion sea sickness bands it seems to help...helps the nausea too as I get that too. I never had a clue perimenopause would be this tough!

I have chronic headaches and take Maxalt (a triptan med). I take it alot wish I didn't need it so much but it works well for me.

      Hi Shan49,

So sorry to hear that you are struggling so much, yes, no one tells you how hard the perimenopause stage is! I have spoken to endless doctors, gynaecologists and supposedly "Menopause Specialists" and none of them were familiar with the symptoms of the nausea/fainting/dizziness/feeling of dying everyday but so many ladies on here are experiencing these problems. I also used to have terrible headaches and I took 200mg of Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) three times a day (at the recommendation of my neurologist) and this did definitely helped me (it turns your urine yellow though which is fine!). Sending you and all the suffering ladies on here love and best wishes for calmer times. xxx
