Hi Maria, I’ve experienced that. Last year, my doc thought I was showing symptoms of MS, one of them was that squeezing sensation. Well, I thought I had what’s called the MS “hug”. I got brain scan, all clear. Just crazy hormones, but my anxiety went nuts in the meantime. 😊

Hi I'm new to this...I'm 51 still have regular periods but they are definitely shorter... maybe 6 months to a year ago I started with bad stomach pain felt like it is burning now every month I get a feeling like I have a fever and complete exhaustion and stomach pain I really thought I was losing my mind. I'm so happy I found this site and realized it's the start of menopause. I do battle anxiety and depression my whole life so I thought it was that acting up, I take meds for that but this definitely is feelings of something different now I know what to tell my doctor since reading all these comments. Thank you everyone

Today was better only because I took a klonopin to sleep and xanax when I woke at 5:00 a.m. with panic. I don't want to live on drugs, but I feel so much better today. The fatigue makes it so difficult to exercise! I forced myself Saturday and slept just fine. As a mental health counselor, I'm finding it difficult to take my own advice! Thank you for your help!

I've also stopped drinking coffee, and I have begun taking a low dose of Zoloft the past two days, but after I read the information here, it seems the Zoloft may only help minimally.

Yes, Maria...had tachycardia at my yearly visit with my gyno last month. Wake up that way a lot. Hear my heartbeat when laying down, etc. It's VERY unnerving. But crok what I've read it's normal during this time in our lives. 😕

This meno can turn your body upside down .. can make you hyper but mostly extremely fatigued .
There are many weird symptoms associated with it so try not to hyper focus on your health. The best thing to do .. which I did is get a full check up including all your blood work and if like mine it’s all normal then it’s just meno or Peri .
