I have a swollen and very painful lump on my clit hood, what should I do?

I have had this same issue off and on for years. It is always on the left side, it is always very painful. I get one of these about every other year. I have never had it pop. I do use antibiotic ointment after sitting in a hot bath and it usually is gone in about 7 days.

As a nurse, I haven't seen a doctor for this, but, in talking to my doctor, she is not sure what it is. If it lasts longer than 7 days, I would see your doctor, just because it is so painful and you don't want to irritate it.

So I am currently going through this right now too. I found a pea sized lump right next to my pee hole, 6 days ago and I have left it alone but these last couple of days it has gotten bigger. Today before going to see my ob it was the size of a bean. When i showed it to her, she says looks like a cyst. Don't worry about it. Keep it clean wash it with soap or warm sitz bath. well I've been keeping it extra clean today and i had the hubby help me look at it after we showered. He tried touching it to see if it was soft and looked around go see if there was a white head showing it might pop soon but nothing. just using the bathroom right now i felt it and seems like its the size of a grape now! I'm freaking out. I go back to see my ob in the morning so i will bring it back up. Totally stressed right now and i also think that may be the reason too.

ok so quick update. after i posted on this thread yesterday, i was so uncomfortable from how big and swollen it was. it was so painful i couldn't sleep sideways and it was the size of my thumb. i went to pee this morning and felt an awful stinging pain. When i wiped i saw a good amount of blood and realized it had burst! yes! i kept squeezing the best i can and cleaned it up. btw there was quite some blood. so thankful it finally burst. now to just keep an eye on it and keep it clean.

I had this in February and i think there is still issues there because i can feel it again, going to get some epson salts now and hopefully leave it alone, i have a new partner too, yet to have sex and cant say i'm too excited at the prospect! i also think i have VP or cysts in my vulva, got a referral for gynae and shes expedited it although not sure what that means to be honest! I feel like a freak!

hi ive also got the same lump, mine started around age 15 however it got so bad i couldnt walk being so young i popped it myself at home with a needle and had black ooze and hair come out of it! ever since then i have had it come back and go over the years! im now 21 and it got irritated by having stimuli down below from a long term partner (we both are clean) so its not an STI. this time it is deeper towards my internals and it was very large and couldnt pop it, so docs have done a scan and its liquid so im on a waiting list to be seen to go further about it, ill keep you up dated as its very similar to yours! its been inflamed about 7 times over the years! i now have a small open hole that bleeds from it 😦

I have a painful spot, too. I don't want to pee cuz it hurts so bad to wipe. Is this the same for you? I can't seem to get a very good picture of it, but I really want it to go away.

I had a tiny hard lump on my clit hood for a couple days and I didn't think anything of it because it didn't bother me. About 3 days ago it was a size of a pea hard and extremely painful. My OBGYN couldn't see me until a month from now so I took in my hands to apply Tea Tree oil and warm compressions. I have used tea tree oil for years for acne and even for a boil in my leg and it has always done wonders. Fast foward to today after applying tea tree oil for 3 days the lump was huge full of white puss and was able to successfully/easily pop it. It was painful but I am relief now. I hope this can help someone.
