    Oh Linda!

I wasnt online yesterday at all and only seeing your post now!!!

I have lived through something similar with my sister and the shock you are going through and the impotence that you are feeling will set you mad.  I know you are running it through your head over and over again and dwelling on the worst case scenario that could have happened.

Try and look on the positive side of it.  He does not appear to be too badly hurt, but needs to be kept a close eye on for the time being, especially the concussion.

They will get the madman who did this, apart from the camera phone videos there will surely be CCTV of the area. He will not be driving for too much longer.

My heart goes out to you and your son.

    Best wishes

    Ann

Not familiar with that program. Maybe we don't get it ion cable in the US but he happens to be a guy for justice and maybe a little revenge, I probably would enjoy.

its a 1952 film staring maureen o hara and john wayne  set in ireland its about a struggle to keep a field .land was a big thing back in the day .    wait a minuite nothings changed!!!!!!

Sort of remember that now. Strange how huge the world was then and a story like that was so remote when you were young. I never even got a grasp on Ireland's internal problems till TV started making them more real and understandable for a Midwesterner in the US.

its not about irelands internal problems it was about a field and two men who wanted to own it     the internal problems within ireland were about catholics and protestant , thank god that is not what it used to be and for the most ireland is in a better place on that front

Yes to the being a better place...as far as the movie.....I assumed they enjoyed bending the elbow a bit.

I used to play golf with 2 Irish priests....brothers by blood as well as the cloth. When Fr. Mike brought the bottle it was bourbon.......and on Fr. Jim's day it was Scotch......and they would nip a bit all the way around on a chilly day. Fr Jim would uncap the bottle and loudly proclaim.....only thing the damn Scots were ever good for. Then Fr. Mike would would proceed to tell golf stories from his youth in Ireland the rest of the day. Great memories...........they never did understand the way American celebrated St. Patrick's Day

ha ha!! that sounds like a great round of golf !!!   the americans celebrate patricks day in a bigger way than here i suppose its because the irish americans like to say they have irish in them . and the irish themselves miss the homeland !!!

slante(irish for goodbye ) just to clear up the one thing irish hate is the way the americans think we irish say "top of the day to you " we never say it but we love the "craic " (a laugh )

Oh Linda...how horrible for all of you, and how stupid of the taxi driver!  I hope he gets what he deserves.

I'm glad that your son wasn't more badly hurt.

    You take care.
