So happy to see that he is improving. Concussions need to be taken seriously. I am relieved to see that the Doctors are tending to it and not ignoring it. It will take time and rest take care of yourself as well

      Hi Linda

God to hear that the scan was positive.  As you say, he needs to rest...he'll still be recovering for the shock of it all (as will you).

I really hope that they find the taxi driver soon - someone must know who he is.

Good news all the way around. In the U S of something like that happened and the guy hadn't been found by now its a good bet he had left the country, gone back to his homeland to bleh into the woodwork. I was in Chicago at a convention years back. They had a 4 cabbie pileup and all 4 drivers got out and ran. Come to find out they were all driving on someone else's license. Like one cop said, off the record of course....."you put beards and shaggy hair on those guys and the only way you can tell them apart is by fingerprints"

    Hi Linda

I am so late but haven't touched on the forum. I am so sorry to hear that. I don't know what's wrong with the world. It could have turned out so differently. Hope he is now fully recovered.

    Hi all ,

well i have good news !!! we found the taxi driver who hit my son when he drove at him and my son was thrown up and off the car landing on his head on the ground .my son and his partner were out in the city last weekend as it was her birthday ,my son was not drinking because of concussion so he was driving . .and spotted the car and took a photo of the number plate .and the police have confirmed it was the taxi and has spoken to the driver ,the driver now has to make a statement in the next few days ,so hopefully my son will get justice !!!! it could take sometime as it takes ages here to bring them to court.

That is at least a bit of good news and a lucky coincidence - hope it goes some way to making you both feel a bit better

Oh, my Irish friend, I am so pleased!!! Keep us posted and again, so pleased for you guys.

How have u been doing? I feel for the first time that I had a normal day. Eye doc in the a.am and the took myself shopping at my favorite store: Anthropologie . Do u have that in the uk and Ireland? The woman there were so happy to see me. They gave me celebratory hugs!! Then had lunch w/ a friend, and the whole foods shopping. Feel good, still have pain on the stairs.

So good to hear that he's back to work and feeling better. Scary time for you and your family! Parenting our older kids can be challenging in ways we never imagined when they were little. They will ALWAYS be our precious ones even when they are a foot taller than we are!

Take care! Give your son a big hug from all of us!💗
