I NEVER feel hungry, can this be anything other than cancer? Distraught

Hello, I am a 25 year old male, I've searched the internet high and low but there doesn't seem to be any reassurance out there for me. I lost my appetite seeminly over night about 3 months ago. Over that time I have seen 4 different doctors and they have presribed various things like laxatives and acid reflux as I have also had mild digestive complaints on and off. None of these have had boosted my appetite though. I still enjoy eating and do so to keep my energy levels up, but I never actually get hungry and sometimes I get bloated after meals. I also had a colonscopy (I requested it) to rule out colon cancer and it was all clear so the doctor just gave me anti-anxiety meds assuming my lack of appetite was psychological. Only thing is I'm convinced it's not and have seen another doctor who I persuaded to give me an ultrasound. Doctor doesn't seem too worried though and just seemed to imply I'm a hypochondria.

Assuming I am right about the lack of appetite being physical, can I really be anything else but cancer? I'm convinced what I am experiencing now is cachexia, or wasting from late stage cancer. I can't help but think it's pancreatic cancer with liver mets as I also have digestive complaints (have even had floating stools for a while now), I initially considered this just to excedingly rare in people my age but my symptoms just seems textbook. All in all just can't really believe this is happenning and I'm terrified about the ultrasound.

    ME TOO!!!

it happened about 3 weeks ago. i had my thyroid and antibodies checked. apparently from the test results my thyroid peroxidase antibodies are too high. but i dunno anything more, it keeps coming up with graves disease or hashimotos but i dont have any of those symptoms im just not hungry. EVER. i do have hidradenitis suppurativa which is an auto immune disease but so far no one in the hs community has had my issue.

    im still searching for answers.

hi Desiree. sorry for what ur going thru..also

it is good that you are doing all these kinds of tests so that hopefully you do not have to suffer for a loss of appetite for as long as some of us have. I appreciate you sharing the tests that you've had and your speculation because it helps to give insight into other people's concerns..will keep in my prayers

i am VERY sorry to hear. I had considered that I may have pancreatic cancer also because it is so hard to detect... but because you do not have a diagnosis yet ,please don't think negative. I also had a colonoscopy to rule out colon cancer and I also had a colonoscopy to rule out colon cancer and the only thing cancerous polyp that they removed. I am losing my mind over this because I can't seem to get my weight back up although it is not really low I lost about six to 10 pounds in 2 years ,which considering the fact that I'm never hungry, which considering the fact that I'm never hungry , isn't too bad but I have to eat a LOT of food just to keep it on and I find myself eating food that is not good for me sometimes..because. I just get so frustrated. I realize I should do a liquid diet ,which is what has been suggested to me on this forum.

keeping. everyone on in here in my prayers..this sux..it has been 2 yrs for me since i was hungry

    update:

i havebeen speaking with family about medical history and i found out that it could be a pituitary gland issue or even a tumer. 2 of my great aunts have had them and they both have graves disease. although it did not cause them to have a complete lack of hunger. i did find an article about a boy that is never hungry or thirsty because of a tumer that put pressure on his pituitary gland. im still reading up on it.

Just a up date: I had a lot of tests done and they found some cysts on my ovary & said they wanted to put me on some meds to see if that would take care of them. After doing that for sometime they checked again and found that it was worse and said I would need surgery remove them but by the time I was due for the last visit they did one more scan and ultrasound. They found a 9x6x5cm mass had grown around the ovary with cysts still on the ovary and on the mass. I went to surgery totally thinking this will fix it. It had to be the pressure of everything pushing against my stomach that made me never hungry but No, it didn't as a matter of fact I have lost 10 more lbs and am sitting at 109 at age 43 and still not hungry. I still have alarms set to remind me to eat as well as the reflux if its greasy or has any kind of spice to it. Oh and now going through menopause to top it all off. Sorry to say I'm still no closer to a solution or a cause for it. Good thing is none of it was cancerous!! 🤗
