I NEVER feel hungry, can this be anything other than cancer? Distraught

Hello, I am a 25 year old male, I've searched the internet high and low but there doesn't seem to be any reassurance out there for me. I lost my appetite seeminly over night about 3 months ago. Over that time I have seen 4 different doctors and they have presribed various things like laxatives and acid reflux as I have also had mild digestive complaints on and off. None of these have had boosted my appetite though. I still enjoy eating and do so to keep my energy levels up, but I never actually get hungry and sometimes I get bloated after meals. I also had a colonscopy (I requested it) to rule out colon cancer and it was all clear so the doctor just gave me anti-anxiety meds assuming my lack of appetite was psychological. Only thing is I'm convinced it's not and have seen another doctor who I persuaded to give me an ultrasound. Doctor doesn't seem too worried though and just seemed to imply I'm a hypochondria.
Assuming I am right about the lack of appetite being physical, can I really be anything else but cancer? I'm convinced what I am experiencing now is cachexia, or wasting from late stage cancer. I can't help but think it's pancreatic cancer with liver mets as I also have digestive complaints (have even had floating stools for a while now), I initially considered this just to excedingly rare in people my age but my symptoms just seems textbook. All in all just can't really believe this is happenning and I'm terrified about the ultrasound.

i have struggled with the same issue for about 2 years. losing about 30 pounds total. this past month i was diagnosed with an auto immune disease ITP to be specific. doctors often miss auto immune disease bc the symptoms arent very noticable and can easily be treated as just stress. i think these past 2 years were my body telling me something was wrong. there are so many forms of autoimmune disease that attack different areas of the body. Find a doctor to break down your vtamin levels with you. just because there is nothing physically wrong now doesnt mean your bodies not telling you something. a hemotologist can also look much deeper into your blood work

So i have been reading your thread and this situation has just happened to me too. Going on 2 months without feeling hungry. All of a sudden one day I just no longer felt hungry. I am at the point that i forget to eat sometimes because i just don't feel hunger. I have IBS but have had it for 10 years or longer and the symptoms are very different. You may have IBS but from my experience, it was more just feeling ill after eating. I still felt hungry. This not feeling hungry feeling is extremely bizarre and unsettling because we rely on hunger to remind us to eat. For what it is worth, I am entirely convinced it is something physical because this literally happened overnight for me and I sounds like for you and others.
Praying they find answers (other than cancer for you). Best of luck in your answer searching and just know you aren't alone in this bizarreness.

Hi there,
I had the same problem. Sometimes my stomach was so painful, bloated, without hungry feeling. I believe in nature and holistic cure. I tried use Spirulina in the morning before any food. I saw my body miss enzymes for digesting. First day almost nothing happened, but .. next day without pain. 3. day I felt much better and after week I felt hungry again. Now it's my routine. I wake up, clean my teeth with coconut oil and after prepare spirulina drink. I eat 3 small meals during the day at the same time, sick stomach likes habit 😊. Btw I am vegetarian. The reason why we feel this way is in our minds. We don't like life how is.. we would like to live better and fair life . Just let's say yourself I love you and love my life. Bless you all M.

Have you considered seeing an immunologist to test for allergies. You may have an allergy that responds poorly to what you normally eat and if untreated perhaps responds by shutting down your appetite.

I've been feeling this way as well. I'm hardly ever hungry. I eat when I start feeling weak so go by that or the time. I think it's because I'm not burning enough calories. It could help to see if starting exercising will induce hunger for you, that and a good PPI like protonix might help. I know I do have acid reflux too.

anyone have any answers yet? I'm 23 and have been dealing with this since I was 15. Never any hunger, frequent bloating and discomfort, but doctors haven't found anything. Thank you!

I think we (emma, you and I) share a problem.
I suggest you prove your sleep is poor by having a sleep study. This may be a day or night study. I had both.
You'll then establish just how poor your sleep is.
Afterwards you should see an endocrinologist to investigate further.
Sleep, metabolism and appetite are very much inter-related, even though most doctors have no clue how to rectify the problems patients suffer.

i am also havong difficulity swallowing food and get nauseatic if i eat a large amount of food..
how do you go abpit eating food when you are not feeling hungry..i have never done that in my life..what do i doo.
btw i got all my tests done and all came fine..althpugh i did not get endoscopy and colonoscopy done as yet

I suggest you go for an endoscopy and colonoscopy at the same time as it's cheaper than two separate procedures. Your bloating could indicate severe reflux or an ulcer. These tests should shed light on the problem.

has anyone tested for SIBO ? once resolved or if not present taking hcl with pepsin with each meal ?
lack of hunger pains can often be due to lack of stomach acid ? for a quick test put half s spoon of baking powder in a glass of water and drink. If you dont burp you have low stomach acid. reflux can often be confused to mean high stomach acid when actually you get reflux for low stomach acid also. if this is the case ppi's make everything worse.
i experienced the same thing by the way. i had hpylori and sibo bacteria. this left me with low stomach acid, i felt no hunger and developed histamine issues too . hcl with pepsin with each meal helped me .

i have decided to try giving up wheat after watching dr ozmand on YouTube from no grain no pain. I haven't been able to pinpoint foods that make me sick, i didn't realize wheat is in everything!

My girlfriend is going through the same thing and she's so nonchalant about it, so I'm the only one worried if she's okay. She eats and enjoys food, and has no body pain, she has been tired lately. She hasn't lost a significant amount of weight because of it. I hope you all find a solution sometime soon. I pray for all of you.

iv started looking into genetic, wheat, gluten allergies. still researching but, wheat is in everything these days. i think i will try to stick to plant based to see if it helps.

As mentioned by others, an allergy test would be very useful to pinpoint exactly what triggers your allergies.
