Irritating , annoying comments about chronic pain .

Don’t you hate it when the able-bodied try to encourage you with cliches that no longer apply to chronic pain patients?
The one that irritates me most is, “If you can dream it, you can do it!”. or, "the power of positive thinking" ... Here's one of my favorites
just keep moving and be "Mindful" of your tolerances.
It makes me want to reply, “Really? I’m dreaming that you would feel my pain”.
What at are some of the irritating response you receive from those who do not suffer from chronic pain? And what do you tell them?

rheumatoid factor
antinuclear antibody
anti cyclic citrullinated peptide
uric acid
c reactive protein
sedimentation rate
When did these bubbles form?
Rheumatoid nodules are not truly rheumatoid nodules....turns out rheumatoid and vasculitis work hand in hand...the proper term is vasculitis nodules...but this true name may never come into use...at any rate these nodules form as a defense against pressure. Remove the pressure and in time, the nodule may completely recede. Gain control of the inflammation and the nodules may completely recede.
Compression sleeves combined with rest, elevation, and ice...
Ziggy-wiggy sends really big hug...now he thinks he should get a cookie!

Hey Judith how u &'Ziggy ,mCharliegirl doin? 🐶
Great info for blood testing for RA. The RA nodes makes more sence to me the way you put it. THANK YOU for sharing your knowledge. And thank goodness I have low levels of uric acid that can lead to gout.thats what I think of every time I'm tested for it.
I do have high levels of cobalt and chromium in my blood. The Wonders of MoM THR. Necrosis of tissue and metals in my blood = Toxic . I'm keeping my device once removed I paid for it. LOL
I will send it off to a lab for analysis.
Most types of arthritis is the body attacting itself. Antibodies are exploding. I have psoriatic arthritis and it can damage the joints.
The nodes on my fingers and palms are made up of collagen and needling breaks the collagen tissue at the surface of the facia tissue near the cords. My hands are doing better since low dose radiation treatments which help stop the growth of the wacky out of control collagen growing in cords causing nodes and in the facia tissue causing fingers to contract. My fingers are deformed very similar to damage in joints from RA .🖐
I wear Fixxglove a special splint for each hand every night. ugh! Compression gloves don't help my hands like they used too! I find eating lots of antiinflammatory foods help even supplements. 👍Exercises for fingers and hands designed for the diseases help much better. In reality there is no cure but many ways to put both diseases in remission & slow the progression of the disease down.
Hope xxxxxx

Hello Judith...was this post for me or for Hope...or both of us..? Next question...how do I get these tests....the hospital staff here would shake their head at me.. Need someone who speaks fluent Indonesian and English. I can get by with every day language but Claudia can do both fluently but she cant understand the technical components. I've written this all down...will send by email to my Neurologist and see what happens. Yes and BTW...where is Indi..??

where's yummy cookies ??? I give them to my dog in a rubber ball designed to put cookies inside thru a hole in the ball. Teaching dogs to think how to get them out or train. My pup loves her cookie ball, she has to get them out of the holes from the rubber ball elongated sized ball. Odd shaped but great for loading a couple of cookie into. It's good for their brains, teeth and gums.
I think the message from Judith is to explain all the RA MARKERS and what the nodes are made up of in RA. Hate my nodes very painful but are not RA BUT per my explination to Judith above somewhere hehe, they are made up of collagen causing my fingers to contract to the palm and freeze into fist. I had low radiation treatment on the nodes a year ago. Stopped them from growing and shrank them. Also had my fingers straightened out but they are a bit wonkey deformed much like RA. Cashiers are very impatient with me trying to put things on the counter and giving them change. They'll click there tongues at me in disgust like can't you see the line forming behind you.
I want to say can't you see I have difficulty with dexterity in my hands. Dumb Cluck! 🐓Lol
🐾 I'm gonna send rotti dog a cookie ball. He works hard protecting you from the snakes and monitor lizards. Give him a hug for me.
Have a pain free day full of laughter and fun things you love to do!

Have you tried a stylus. I like them over my wacky fingers. I have more control and type much faster. Of course it would be nice to use Siri and the microphone .
many other forums are starting to use microphones for handicapped hands. 💅🏻

Great brand spanking new chair with purple frim I love it! 😈 Ziggy needs a purple put fit to match. Send a pic would love to see it sounds gorgeous.
Thats great you had a custom implant. How is the heeling and adjustment to it going? My brain gets confused with new implants cause the nerves are not in the usual place since joint is removed and it takes a bit more time for the signal to feel normal to my brain after implants.💪
From the University of Kentucky who would have thought??? Is it like from a 3-D printer. As your ortho sent your personal measurements to them the the prothesis fits better and was it a bit easier with a custom fit?
This is the wave of the future for joints. Next time I'm having mine blinged out before implant a few diamonds added, now that's going to be a good way to start a fad with all the joints peops. We could all stand together and ask jewelry to donate there odd mems to us! There should be something really special for each one of us. After all any joint replacement it's a tough rehab.
Thank you you for your kind words.myou have been a wonderful friend.
So Colorado is the new chair coming with skiis? 🎿Purple skiis to match!
🍪🍪🍪 cookies for ZIGGY & a friend for Charliegirl 🐦,
Knowing there's a few diamonds, rubies or my favorite emerralds we would feel so much better that just a emalgmum of metals.A little image booster for implants. Lets call them designer implants and we could design cool implants. Where's the docs imagination and creativity in the arts not just surgery but a little bling is so special. I'm gonna add it to the suggestion box. 😃
