    Hello

I am 28 have suffered years with up to 20 symptoms or more. I have gotten a colonoscopy identifying colitis and been diagnosed IBS. To me neither is a diagnosis but another symptom. I am not a doctor but have done hundreds of hours of research and came upon Candida a fungus. Western medicine does not accept that Candida is the problem as everyone has it in their gut and needs to have in their body to aid in digestion. The problem occurs when we eat the western diet of high refined sugar, processed food, dairy, alcohol, and antibiotics. Lots of meat, eggs, and tap water contain antibiotics so be awear. We then throw our microbiom (trillions of organisms that coexist with us, in us, and on us) off. From what I understand the Candida then blooms and everything gets out of control. It can get to the point where it is growing into your internal organs apparently. I am still suffering but have changed my diet to eliminate anything containing the foods listed above. I do slip up but otherwise am very strict. I also have started using probiotics. Just this last week I have started using CCWS or lufenuron that is supposed to be quite good at reducing Candida populations. You can find this product online. Unfortunately you will likely not get help from your doctor if this is what's causing your problem and may just have to take things into your own hands as only one school in the country teaches nutrition to doctors. It will be a long road with diet change. Its will be a complete lifestyle change but you will be able to live again. You deserve to feel like you should. I realize now I have had symptoms for 20 years. I heard yesterday it will likely take a month of healing per year of symptoms so be patient. Go day by day and get as much support from loved ones as possible if they dont understand stay strong reach out to those who do listen. When you are going to event where there will be temping food bring your own or eat beforehand. You deserve to feel the best you can. Please do your own research I just thought I'd mention it as so many are suffering with no answers and this could be what's causing problems for you. Many people have just never heard of Candida. Also you may want to look into C. Diff. If you have ulcers they are currently performing fecal transplant that have a 90 percent cure rate. During covid they are only being offered through clinical trials. If they doctors are not giving you answers take your life into your own hands and keep researching. Feel free to message me if anyone is curious for more information. Hope this helps someone!

Hi guys, sorry I have not been back sooner. It's interesting that there are so many of us in this boat, although likely for different reasons.

I still haven't made any progress on this lately, in fact it's probably worse. Imodium has no effect, despite taking a long break from using it. No part of the stool is firm any longer. I've been trying to see a kidney specialist and a gastroenterologist again, but with COVID it's not happening. I really should investigate getting the hemorrhoids repaired, but I imagine it's a long wait.

Since I've had moderate kidney disease for quite some time, I was googling diarrhea and kidney disease and I found a urology site where a doctor recommended kaopectate (Pepto) or some prescription drug. I took a couple of caplets this morning and I have only pooped once today, when I got up. I realize one day does not mean much, but pooping once a day is a miracle for me lately. I guess the proof will be in the pudding. 😃

      Hi,

Day 2 of the Pepto challenge.

The plan was to take 2 Pepto caplets after every bowel movement, but my stomach was rumbling and gurgling last night, so I took two more caplets at bedtime. I thought I might be constipated this morning, but the Pepto had just resolved some of my motility issues, i.e. no urge to poop myself. I did poop this morning and they were not exactly solid, more like individual poop balls. Kinda segmented like some some dog poops, but not solid enough to stay in one piece. I intend to keep taking two caplets morning and night for a few days to see if things improve further or wear off.

I had an appointment with my doctor this morning so I asked her about how this stuff works and she said it slows things down, which agrees with my anecdotal evidence. She wasn't too keen on this, but said if it gives you your life back, it was worth a try. She said it would turn my stools black, but I have not experienced this so far.

I have had these stools for over a month now as well and it is completely freaking me out. I'm a 20yr old female. It seems like I havent had a normal formed in one piece stool since. I believe my stool is type 5 on the bristol stool chart. Its formed but yet it ends up breaking into pieces. I went to the doctor and he told me to try an over the counter probiotic. That didnt help, so he then prescribed me with the antibiotic Xifaxan to be on for 2 weeks. Im now on my last day of my antibiotic. Ive also had some abdominal pain but its dull and seems like its in different spots everytime. I still get pains however im not sure if its because im under a lot of stress or not because im constantly thinking the worst out of this situation im in. With the antibiotic, my pain is less frequent so im not sure what that would mean. I really hope you got your answer. Im here freaking out.

I am in the exact same boat. Im 32 and my doc prescribed me Famotidine and that hasnt really helped at all and it gave me a headache and nausea. I'm hoping they do imaging next, I'm really worried its something more serious than it seems.

Yes i do, people are telling me i look a lot slimmer 😦 I am also worried. So your stools are better recently ? Does your pain in rectum and around it feel like it is uncomfortable sitting, pains are short around rectum and as if my bones hurt from time to time ? Can this be from IBS ?

    Hello!

I just started reading this forum's messages as I experienced this often/fluffy stool on a daily basis for a while, but haven't seen a doctor to address this yet. I also suffered from anal fissures for years until I followed my proctologist's advice - no more soap to clean the area and no more toilet paper to use. I switched to a baby all over shampoo/unscented soap for sensitive skin and only use wet wipes. The issue is long time gone now! In case of occasional discomfort or itching - Calmoseptine Ointment is a great and helping product.

As for the Hemorrhoids - I finally decided to do a rubber band procedure that is actually working.

And reading all the messages about the same issue I am also having: fluffy/mushy/loose stool daily without any abdominal pain or excessive gas - brings me to the club here. So hopefully we can find a reason and a treatment to this one day soon. I will keep reading and posting. Good luck!

Just found this thread and I experience the exact same thing of loose fluffy stool!! i may have 2-3 days of solid poop (which is rare), but then it goes back mushy. i cant figure out what is causing it. it's been like this for 3-5 years on and off. its worst more recently.

i've tried to eat very clean (lots of veggies, fruit, chicken), but i seem to get the loose fluffy stool very randomly. The doctor just old me to eat more fibre but doesnt seem to help. i've been keeping a food diary but cant find any consistency

I'm thinking about doing an experiment where i only drink bottle water. perhaps the tap water (Vancouver, BC) is aggravating my stomach?

I'm going to see a naturopath soon as i'm desperate for help, and it may be a more holistic approach. I could see how stress could play a role in the digestive system. Just want to share my story. if i find a solution, i'll let everyone know.

Hello guys. Im here to share a little bit of my story. Im a 28 years old female, and ive been suffering from gut problems for almost 2 years now. I had MANY exams done. Endoscopy, blood tests, MRI, stool tests, etc. They all came back normal. Nonetheless, i have loose stools almost everyday. And i can always see undigested food in it. The color is also weird. The beginning is darker and after a while it gets really light colored and really mushy. The doctors seem to think im overreacting. But its really annoying, painful and makes me truly uncomfortable. If anyone wants to talk about it or share their experience, please hit me up.

hi there, did you get to the bottom of this? I've had this for a long while now and have recently started getting a dull sensation in my upper abdominal area which is mainly just under where left rib cage starts.

Poo starts off well formed and finishes mushy. It can also be different shades in the same Poo too.

Any help or guidance would be amazing.

      Thank you

      Martin
