Hi my name is louyse, and i have been on this forum before.I am 46 years of age,and for the first time,i have missed my period this month.Im worried is this normal,i have anxiety, dizziness and off balance sometimes.I am on anti depressant lexapro 20 mg and half an anti anxiety tablet.I do work full time, and do manage fine at work.I'm really scared as ialways seem to think i am going to die from a heart attack, even though i have wore a holster monitor and my heart is perfect.I wish none of us had to go through this.I want to exercise but im scared of everything to do with my heart, and i can't explain why. Please someone tell me why,if anyone else feels like this

I'm 46 years old too and I have been experiencing the same thing. I have not had a period for a couple of months. I'm on levothyroxine for low thyroid. I take medication for depression and anxieties and diabetes and high blood pressure

I feel that I'm going through peri menopause because I have been more anxious, having palpitations and restless at times. I also deal with a lot of stomach problems too. My heart is in good condition but when I feel these palpitations I get a little nervous feeling like there is something wrong. I just want to get through this peri menopause and go on with the rest of my life but how can we do this when we have our hormone changing in us. Please help me thank you.

Just read your post ,hope Jay gets on site ,she's the one on menopause to ask ,she's looked into it a LOT .

Have you looked at the check list she provided ,put up on meno 4 months ago ,see how many you can tick off ,all you have said is menopause symptoms ,like Jay ,no HRT ,go look up Premeno Ovules ,no HRT ,they may be of help .just put it up and have a read  you can spend so much cash on over the counter meno things ,and never help ,look at what women have tried ,says it all .Anxiety Gyne is common ,what the hormones do ,also the IBS ,but it's just hormones again ,especially if stomach probs just began ,I was 48 when I began ,took 9 weeks till diagnosed it was meno ,so your in the right age range .

When mine began thought it was heart prob that morning ,weeks leading up to it ( summertime )thought I'd got summer flu ,or a bug  I was cold, freezing sat with cardigan on mid summer ,shivery .You can get FSH sticks from Amazon or Boots ,it's a stick test.Use them like a pregnancy test kit .Go check them out .Hormones go up and down ,so on a bad day,use a stick ,see what levels are .Told my daughter to get them .

HI, I AM 51 YEARS oldand have been in menopause for more than 3 + in March i noticed a vile taste in my mouth- since then 6 doctors 1 eme visit and surgery for a blocked parotid gland- however i am post op and vile tatse continues- i have an appointment with gyn tuesday- i pray they find that this is a symptom of menopause - i too feel like im going crazy and have feelings of dread and i cant even begin to tell you how hard it is on my family listenning to me for the 7000th time- I pray some one can answer this for me and let me know if they have or heard of vile/sour taste it only goes away when i chew gum or eat or sleep   thank you so much    lost in misery,,sad

Diana if it's a Metalic taste you have ,it will be Gyne, but the sour taste could well be the same ,or it can just be from that gland ,Id say it's menopause ,that's getting you so stressed up ,see what the Gyne says ,and go from there .

Maybe be good idea for moderator to place up those 65 meno symptoms ever so often ,would help many just coming on to Patient site  least let you sleep easier after having a read ,Jay placed it Sept of last year Diana .

Don't feel lost in misery !many on here feel like you do .youve got to eat or your be making yourself really poorly .Your be okay ,Big hug from me to you

Hi Diana ,hope today your feeling bit more relaxed ,glad your Dr has explained few things ,hope you've had a look at what Alan moderator has placed up ,sent to me ,if not go have good old read. See how many you can tick off Jays list on the meno symptoms .That will sure calm any female down ,who like you are worrying .Yes it can make you so low ,when you read the post ,you see others feeling the same way as yourself ,which in turn sets the worrying off to a whole new level .

Hope all will settle down ,just part of females life ,some sail through it ,whilst others go through what seems like pure misery .

I to had a neck tumor removed 2 years last Febuary ,cut from behind my right ear ,to under my chin ,but I'm fine ,scar still but small price to getting it gone Diana .Keep me up with what's doing in regards to what you've said here ,don't ever feel you've got to worry alone ,not how these sites work ,if one hasent an answer ,another will .this site is really good at this .

Go and enjoy this weekend ,and have that read up what Alan's put up on menopausal symptoms and make notes that you can refer to  I keep notebook handy for just that .😃

Hiya Jay ,been thinking about you ,was going to PM to see how you were now .Im much the same ,been watching the tennis ,see you sent over couple really hot days ha, ha, didn't enjoy it ,plus few hot flushes into the bargain ,heat upon heat ,you know that feeling .

Hope these articles of yours ,help like they did so many last year .If new on here they've no way of hearing about them .Worrying then can slow down somewhat for those who are so very stressed ,families don't get the picture what's of concern for females  and it's not just meno going on ,on health front either ,

PM me Jay on here or the other .Hug xx

      Hi Marlene my lovely

I never felt so good 😀

Started 5mg Escitalopram ( newer stronger Citalopram) in May as hot fushes, reoccurring shingles ( had it twice in May) and the 3 bulging back disks were grinding me down.

Body was exhausted so doc said.

Its an antidrpressant but very low dose for the flushes so gave it a try and feel fab, also i am vit D defficient and been taking 2200iu a day, and my B12 jab weekly now and i am full of energy, out driving everyday, on my own, had a brill week, feel my life is finally back, weather been hottest i remember and these escitalopram ( not depression dose) have stopped my 20 plus a day flushes and palps.

yippppeeeee doctor suggested 10mg but i took 5mg and stuck with it as thats working for me.

Done lots of research and surprised to see how low dose AD'sis the new HRT, for non HRT users, just wish i took them last year, took edge off the slight anxiety i had and no stopping me now 😀 its not a depression dose or treatment strength as i dont have drpression.

everyone amazed at me at the moment. ' so am i '

Jay that best news I've heard in fair while ,glad it's had a turn around ,least stopped those flushes ,last we spoke you'd just started on them ,well proof they're working .that anxiety is the bitter pits  I can vouch for that daily  those meds just increased it in me ,How it goes for some ,down to genes .but your running on all cylinders ,hey and out driving now ,freedom Jay .Not heard about it being the new HRT for non HRT users ,interesting for others on here Id say

What's doing with those leisions ? I've wondered about that .Youve had a rough old time Gal ,so really pleased it's going your way finally .Bottle it up and send it over .Ive been using the Magnesium spray on my frozen shoulders ,that's helped me know end ,got the oil ,so put that on every night 5 each arm, plus arm exercises ,May put some on my knees they creak somewhat ,first thing .oh yes and this bloody neck ache I still have ,wish it would work on this tinnitus .

Stay in touch ,hope the dogs are all good ,Don't overdo your back .Takecare Jay xxx

Have to more so with being vit D defficient , the vit D3 supplements taken can deplete our magnesium levels to so must be taken together for me .

Not my weight causing it as i am a diddler

      Only 8st 10 ( 5ft 6)
