    Hi Michelle

Im not a bit surprised its caused depression and that in turn will make your migraine much worse. Dont forget to mention that, because I found that antidepressants helped a lot. Dont forget to let us know how you get on. Much love Paula

Hi Michelle I've got this too I'm 23.. I hate it but it feels so physical to be in your head as depression .. well you know what I mean .. like I feel like there is a broken nerve or blood vessel.. I was given prozacbut I'm scared of anti depressesnts so still don't no wether to take it.. I hate the isolated I can't work or do what I want feeling. I've had it 15 months how long for you now? I'm having more and more good days now ..A been diagnosed with mdds or mav they not sure .. my own doc thinks it's damage in my ear and sending me to a different ENT. CT scan was fine an they said I won't need an mri. I stopped eating gluten what helped for a while. But it come bk again. I have eliminated nearly everything from diet including chocolate and dairy and wheat .. and cheese and sweets .. so now it's a case of adding one by one n seeing if I feel worse. Before I changed my diet the dizziness was 24/7 bad an going no where. An now I'm having good days where I notice only if I look for it.. but then for some reason a bad day from no where makes me feel like my life isn't worth living and it's over .. fed up xxx

23 aswell bloody hell sad it's not nice is it!

In a way nice to talk to someone my age aswell as all my friends think I'm just making excuses and being boring. It gets to me. Walk in my shoes and see how you like it.

I was also on Prozac but it did nothing for me made me feel worse.

You should go back to your DRs Hun and demand to get help! Your young!

Also try counselling worked for me smile I'm now doing counselling again.

All the best big hugs Hun. Xxx

Focus on your health. And getting yourself better. They would be running to you if they were in your shoes. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Having a bad leg seems easier haha!

Yes defiantly smile deffo look into what I mentioned and don't be embarrassed about counselling loads people do it. Might help you might not. I'm always up for trying new things ATM ha! Oh and maybe keep a diary too smile like in your phone notes that's what iv been doing. And then show your DRs ect.

      All the best mwah xxx

Awww thanks love my doc said if ENT still can't fix me then she's booking me in some therapy places but i might just go sort it private on my own.. meditation really helps allot if u try it. Most the time I haven't got the patients I need to do it more. Also done so much research an found this man I can't remember the site but it's called see sick something maybe find it on Google an he does eye movements to help with balance and for me it's the only think that's worked a little I'm gonna start doing it 3 times a day instead of one ... I try to remember things I never stick to diary I no I should but on good days I try not to think about it case I make it come bk then I forget then 2 weeks later I go back to my diary like errrrrm. .. haha .. keep me updated atleast we are at the end of this though it takes its time xxx

Hi Michelle.  Sorry to hear that this thing is causing you so much emotional harm as well as the physical aspect.  I am also getting vestibular migraines and they have come at a time when I am trying a low cholesterol diet with lots of nuts and muesli.  I am just wondering if it's something I am eating or something I am not eating.  As for those people who make light of your problems......   they should try walking a mile or two in your shoes.  It is a horrid condition which makes you feel totally out of sorts and almost as if your body has been poisoned.  I hope you find an answer.  x

      Hello

Thanks for writing to me means a lot.

You mentioned it might be something your eating maybe do what I'm doing and keep a food diary smile see how you get on and show it to your DR or ENT specalist that's what ENT guy told me to do.

      All the best to you.

I will keep up to date how I'm getting on

      Big hugs xx

Hi this is to everyone on this discussion,  Ive got silent migraine (migraine with vertigo).  Just to let you all know, I went to the Migraine clinic in harley street, and they explained it to me.  They thinks its caused my stress.  When youre stressed you screw up your forehead and eyes.  This sends the corrugator muscle into spasm.  It runs thru your head behing your eyes, round ears, top of head, back of head and neck.  When its in spasm it irritates the trigeminal nerve which runs underneath causing all the symptoms we all describe.  Thats why botox works, as it freezes the muscles in the forehead and eyes and back of head to let the nerve heal.  I had it and it made a difference.  Im waiting for another bout on the nhs.  In the meantime Ive been given anti depressants to help with the stress which they have done.  But they take quite a few weeks to kick in.  Plus theyre trying anti epilepsy drugs to stop the dizziness.  They havent worked.  Now onto beta blockers.  Not got them yet.  The main thing is to stop the stress which is hard when you are scared and dizzy.Try to relax and strange as it may sound, carry on with life as much as you can.  I am much better on a work day than a weekend day.  I dont know why that is unless lying down irritates the muscle at the back of your head.  Lets hope it stops for all of us soon.  Mines been two and a half years now.  Michelle I know you know all about this but this post is for all the others.  Hugs to all.

Hi Michelle. I have been suffering with dizziness, fatigue, full head, ear playing up, headaches, migraines, headaches, palpitaions daily for just over a year. Getting worse by the week but now by the day recently. I have also experienced depression on and off for 18 years (I am 35). Tried over 20 medications for mental health. When it comes to anti depressants they should be taken as a last resort. Many have bad side effects and/or bad withdrawl effects. These do go away. They can work and are worth trying. It is hard but you have to persevere to find one what agrees with you. Everybody is different. I know that it is very daunting waiting for scan/test results. Part of you wants to find something and find a fix and part of you wants test results to be clear. It is too easy to say to someone I know but at the moment I am trying my best not to think of the future and live one day at a time. No one would fully understand what it feels like unless they suffered themselves with this and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. At the hospital today someone I know said how great I looked after losing weight. I was on my way home to go straight to bed lol. I have to lie back down now as the head pressure and many other symptoms are increasing by the minute : (

    Keep us updated. Take care.

      Hi Jason

      Sorry you feel aweful sad

I used to be the same! Had stay in bed all time some days I couldn't get out as head was aweful.

Iv been on 2 anti depressants and they didn't help. So depression meds is my last resort. I'm working with MH team, specalists ect.

Still waiting on my MRI results. Annoying sad !

Hope you feel better soon. Drink plenty of water.

      Xx

Thanks Michelle I hope you continue to improve. The aniti depressant I am on now is Cymbalta (deluxetine 120mg daily). It has worked best for me.

That said many people say they have similar symptoms to mine being on Cymbalta and especialy during withdrawl. I doubt Cymbalta is the cause of my problems as I have been fine for many years on it.

I have mentioned this with my Consultan Pschyatrist but he just brushes it off saying I have been diagnosed with Vestibular Neuritis.

Don't want to go on to him about medication and side effects as they usualy see this as becoming mentaly ill again and either up my dosage or change to similar drug. Catch 22!

Yes I do need to drink more. Been telling myself this for a while now.

      Best wishes.

Hey thought post how been getting on.

Touch wood dizziness hasn't been here for 4 days. However iv had very bad chest pains.hmmm never suffered from heart burn before. My dad gets it really bad! But Iv never. I don't know weather it is heard burn or what? As never suffered from it.

I have taken rennies and it does ease. I'm still writing my food diary for my specialist. Maybe it is something I'm eating god knows. My mum said it can also be stress related. So maybe cause dizziness has eased now it's turning into chest / hear burn.

Hope everyone's well and having good day.

    Big hugs all xx

I have had very bad Heartburn and indigestion for years.

I have been fine taking Lansoprazole for it. Couldn't live without it.

If I forget to take it in the morning I have terrible indigestion by mid afternoon.
