Hi hope your ok love .. no news is good news I think if it was anything showing up you'd of heard...

How crazy is this. I was on anti biotic for an abscess for a week or so and during this time I had NO dizzy.. and now I've stopped taking them it's come back the same night.. and I feel nausea as well as migraine flashes. I hate this sh*t I thought I had cured myself.. also tho that week I was doing so much eye movement exercises in the mornings it may have been that but when I've actually got up past couple of days I been too dizzy to do them so maybe not that!!

What I do know is the antibiotics I was on have allot of sodium in and not supposed to be taking by people on a low sodium diet . What I have been on for a while because ENT said sodium effects your ears allot... well HELLO wonder if I haven't got enough? ? Odd xxxxxx

      Hey hunni smile

Yeah that's true I Spose but I have my ENT specalist today. And I have no MRI results to give him. Only a food diary!

You know what you have just explained? I bought some calms it's a magnesium drink and there's a lot of forums on it saying it's good for vertigo! I haven't tried it yet it's under my bed. Ha I bought it from amazon. Maybe what your explaining you are lacking in something! I'm gonna try it tomorrow smile why don't u look into that? U can get it online. It's called calms magnesium. Xx

HiMichelle - thats definitely on my next shopping list ! Sent an email to my neurologist regarding possible SCM. My symptoms are spot on and Ive had a bad car crash in 1973 now got prolapsed disc in my neck. Cant wait to hear back - actually excited. I need to get out more - ha ha we all know we cant go out !! The thought of a cure - WOW.

From some posts on another site, check out SCM nerve.  I now think thats what Ive got rather than the silent migraine.  Im going to speak to my neurologist tomorrow on email.  Just started new medication which theyve put me on, metoprolol.  At least they dont make me sick and dizzy up to now.  If this is SCM its curable.  See what you think for you.  Might be the same.

Hi guys hope your all well.

    Just an update

Went to see my ENT specialist

My MRI results came out clear which is good news but still no idea what it is.

So I went in with my food diary and he said to cut out ( diary products, sweets & takeaways ) for 1 month see how I get on and still keep a diary of what I'm doing ect & eating. If this doesn't work he said were gonna have to talk about medication.

Have a nice day guys big hugs x

Hi Michelle hope your ok today.. glad the mri was fine..

I haven't ate nothing like that for months and it's still here tho there's a big difference without diary. I sort of cut that out by myself as I noticed I felt allot worse once after some yoghurt..

but... I don't some looking up on the ingredients in the anti biotic I was taking an they said they had allot of magnesium. So I went out yesterday and bought some. . I had one yday and one today felt worse lastnight but I've woke up feeling allot better. Maybe it's them or maybe I'm just having a good day... read about magnesium deficiency I seem to have nearly all of these symptoms and yes It can cause fatigue and a constant off balance and dizzy xxxx won't do me any harm trying xx

    Hi Michelle

I dont find any difference when I dont eat dairy. In fact when Im on a diet, it seems to be worse. Eating seems to make it a bit better no matter what it is. The new blood pressure tablets are starting to make me feel very sick. If it doesnt pass, I suppose I will have to give them up. Now Ive got the dizziness and the sickness. What joy ! I remember two years ago going for an interview and when I nodded my head it was horrendous. i couldnt nod and you nod quite a bit in your daily life. However, thats gone now along with the jumpy eyes. So some things get better. Cant get shut of the dizziness though. So tired today and went to bed early, I think its these tablets. If doc comes back with SCM I will be able to stop them. Did you need any help finding a job - as I do that for a living. Best wishes paula

Hey Michelle, I have suffered from vertigo since the age of 19, I am now 27, and still haven't found any medication that has worked.

I am also starting to feel depressed, which is very unlike me. I can't have a proper social life. I try to go to the gym 6 days per week, but struggling at the moment, as it's the worst it's been in months.

It is bitter swee, knowing other people are also going through this.

Hope you feel better soon xx

Hi Terry - Im not surprised youre starting to feel depressed.  Its so debilitating and sodding annoying. I have found its a chicken and egg sort of thing.  The more stressed you get, the worse the dizziness gets.   I found antidepressants very good, they calmed me down and in turn the dizziness got a bit better.  Wont go but has improved.  What has the doctor said is the cause.  Perhaps one of us can give you some tips to cope with it.  I havent found any tablets help other than the antidepressants;  But I had botox last year and that stopped my jumpy eyes and the nodding problem.  So there is some hope.  xx

I have been put on pitzotifen now. One pill did nothing, but I'm now on 2. The results are crazy. I haven't felt this good in years. People have moaned about side affects, but I haven't had any as of Yet.

If you haven't tried them, give them a go

Hi Terry. Glad you are feeling better. Hope it stays that way for you. How did you get prescribed Pitzotifen ? Did your GP prescribe it or did you see a neurologist ?

      Best wishes. Jason.

Hey, I got it prescribed from my GP. There is a new pill out called vertigon. It's really new, you can get it from amazon for about £6, no prescription needed. It's periodically made for vertigo. I really suggest trying that first, as I took one last night, and feel so good.

I really advise trying them first, as it's the first pill I've used, apart from pitzotifen, which seemed good.
