Mono need help

Hi so In June I woke up one morning feeling very weak. I thought I needed to eat something but when I ate breakfast I still felt weird. I ended up having my first panic attack. My entire summer was filled with ER visits for weakness, low energy, fatigue, dizziness, off balance feeling, and generally feeling unwell. It turns out I have mono (diagnosed a week ago). I don't know what to do. Just looking for others' stories and well and recovery process. It's my 3rd month and I just feel so helpless. ?? Thanks guys ! Blessing to all

Does or did anyone with mono feel faint at times ? I can't quiet explain it but at times I feel like I could just collapse😩. I thought it was low blood sugar but after being in the hospital we realized that it wasn't

Yes I feel faint and weak a lot the last couple of weeks. I’ve had blood sugar etc checked but that was ok. I have developed high blood pressure over the course of this virus so now on tablets for that 😩

Yes, I am feeling better a full year later, I am hoping my daughter recovers soon, her brain fog is a little better, hopefully the sick feelings will leave soon.
Hopefully your back will feel better soon.

I had a kind of similar experience, when I first got sick with Mono I had bad nausea and it started to fade away slowly, but about 2 weeks after the nausea went away the fatigue and nausea hit me again, and I have felt really off and nauseous for almost 4 months now. I have no problem exercising though, I am pretty sure chronic fatigue syndromes main symptom is not being able to get up for more than 24 hours after exercising. So if that problem continues for you, definitely go back to the doctor. Only thing that bothers me is that im not acutely infected yet i still feel like sh** every day. Ive been going back to my doctor often and he seems to think I may have developed an inner ear problem and possibly a thyroid problem too. Damn EBV hahah.

Thanks Mono and Craig, your response really helped me get through last night. Today was a good day and I just spent the last half hour dancing w/ my friends and being silly. Hopefully I don't pay for it in the morning lol. Have a good night guys and thanks again !!

Hey Christy,
Glad to hear you had a better day, and remember if you feel more tired again today don't panic that's okay and is normal, and will pass again. Keep seeing your friends and doing things with them because that all helps in recovery, just make sure you're not overdoing it and giving yourself plenty of rest before / after, or when you find works for you!

Has anyone here had concentration problems ? I've recently gone back to school , and it's been ok I guess. But one thing I notice is , it's harder for me to concentrate. Idek if it's the fatigue or anxiety or just the virus itself but I feel SOOO spacy and in a daze while I'm in class

Hey Christy,
Yes I think concentration problems can be a real issue with the virus, and in any stressful or hard time in life. I'm going through a tough time with back pain just now and finding it difficult to concentrate also, a very different situation I know but hard times affect people in different and unusual ways sometimes.
Things will get better Christy, maybe try eating foods that are good for concentration - I know bananas are good because they are full of B vitamins, or even taking a B vitamin complex supplement per day if not already doing so - that can really help I think.
And remember all this will get better.....all of it will go away and you will make a full recovery!! Truly I believe that in Jesus name.

Hi Craig , sorry for the late response , was having trouble with my wifi and it took FOREVER to get a guy to come fix it. Luckily it's fixed now lol. Anyway I'm sooo sorry to hear you're going through back pain. It sucks when good people have to suffer but I know it's not for nothing, God has great things in store for both of us !! Thanks for the tips , 😊

Hi Christy,
Thanks so much for the words of encouragement, I really appreciate that and it means a lot. Yes I believe that too that God has a good and positive reason for the hard times we are going through just now and that He has amazingly good plans for our future. Thanks for reminding me of that Christy, I really appreciate it.
Glad to hear you got your wi-fi fixed. Hoping for a good day today for you too and remember you ARE going to make a full recovery and get through this hard time Christy, totally and utterly in Jesus' name I declare that and believe that to be true.
Thinking of you and remember even if a dip comes any day or time, it's only temporary and that things will get better.
