Mono need help

Posted , 34 users are following.

Hi so In June I woke up one morning feeling very weak. I thought I needed to eat something but when I ate breakfast I still felt weird. I ended up having my first panic attack. My entire summer was filled with ER visits for weakness, low energy, fatigue, dizziness, off balance feeling, and generally feeling unwell. It turns out I have mono (diagnosed a week ago). I don't know what to do. Just looking for others' stories and well and recovery process. It's my 3rd month and I just feel so helpless. ?? Thanks guys ! Blessing to all

Hey Christy I know how you feel, the last time I remember it was May! Time just seems to have flown by with me in a daze.

Suffering with bad pain on my right side today 😩

Try not to be frustrated, the more you rest now, the stronger you be when you get through this

Hi Ashley i totally understand that feeling. This entire summer has literally been a blur !!!

aww i hope you start feeling better ! I know it sounds silly but whenever I have a specific problem (like nausea) i try not to focus on it and sometimes it goes away. Maybe that can work for your pain too

Thanks for the encouragement and tips ! You're awesome

      Hi Christy,

ive been soaring for a few weeks now and I really thought that was it, It had totally gone but I've suffered the last few days.....bad nausea, and really tired. Tears too!! On a few occasions!!!  I say this and I suppose it's  just a set back. It will pass fully soon and one of these days it won't come back...

even though I've suffered I've been up and out most of these days, something I couldn't do a while ago, so still progress!!!

We are all improving slowly.....every day, is a day nearer xx

      Hi Caroline,

Just like me, I have been feeling much better this last month and had two days of feeling a little crummy and now I feel better doing a lot more than I did.

      Hi,

it's  really difficult when you hit that bump in the road. I try and stay positive, I may get teary and  say when will this end etc but deep down I know it's on it's way out. It just keeps taking forever!!!

thank you mono for telling me that, we do seem to be recovering at the same rate, which is nice to know. Xx

      Hi Craig,

I am sorry to hear you are still having back pain. It is so difficult to cope with lingering pain or illness and you are always so positive, I hope it lets up soon.

      Hi Caroline,

I hit a bump as well. I was doing really well for a couple of weeks and for the past week or so I've been getting some symptoms cycling through they don't stay long. I was beginning to get discouraged because you all were doing so well. This is my 10th month with it. I've had a lot more better days mentally and physically. More energy! I can last longer in the day. I don't get much of a low mood much any more. I'm praying our bodies' are finally trying to get a hold of this virus once and for all. It will be a year Dec 24 for me. Prayers for all of us. 🙏🏼

Craig I am really praying you get some relief for your back.

      Hi shawna,

although I was feeling tired last November, it didn't send me to bed til dec25th that's when it really kicked in for me!! so we have been suffering the same length of time. Just like mono too! I think we are all following the same path and yessss, it's so discouraging when the symptoms come back. I thought I'd never see that low mood again😤

I managed a dog dog walk and a food shop today, cooked dinner but needed a rest this afternoon and of course an early night (just seems normal to have bedtime the same as the children now!!) and I just feel tired. Maybe I'll manage three or four weeks before the next dip, I suppose this is how it goes until one day it just doesn't return???

Its reassuring though that we are trending the same way.

thanks for being there and reassuring. 😘

      Thank you Mono,

I'm so grateful for your kind words. I'm finding it hard to cope at the moment and really do understand people feeling weary and tired and frightened - just hoping and praying there can be better times ahead for us all here on the forum - I do believe that with God's help.

      Craig
