Name your 'Gammy' bit.

The idea behind this is to create a list of all those faulty bits that we suffer with so much.

Please try to keep it to a one-liner, and then at the end we should be left with a list of those things that are wrong with us (both humerous and otherwise) that drive each one of us mad.

      Hi George,

It's good to hear that you are in good shape then!

But what you don't have I think is a keyboard that suffers from 'Keyboardamania', and needs the very complicated and expensive 'keyboardasecomy' operation, alternatively just throwing in the bin?

Before you start thinking that I have ignored you GeorgeGG, I have not.

Our Moderator has picked-up the fact that I have just mentioned in my reply to you  a newly-discovered and very rare condition in which sufferers do suffer certain annoying symptoms.

You will see what I mean once it has been moderated.

It is very frustrating when the computer gobbles your laboriously tapped out message on your wooden keyboard. Perhaps worse for  me. No sooner as my message vanished at the speed of light than I am tramsformed into a guilt ridden seven year old. Innocent or guilty there was no appeal  'even if you didn't to it you will have done something else. Your horrible little boy"

Keyboard aside, sometimes the Moderator is not particularly helpful.

I am NEVER likely to use profane language, neither am I ever likely to advertise a new brand of Condom, so as to how theses moderation algorithms work is a mystery to me.

Yes. One of my messages had a correct technical word but the algorithm caught it. The moderator substituted an * for an alpha and all was well.

I suspect that we have a part-time Moderator, so as to exactly when my Phoenix will arise from the ashes is very much in the hands of the Gods.

The £B3.5 IMRT photon accelerator that delivered my radiotherapy was called Phoenix. Just who was intended to arise out of the ashes I wondered.

Just thank your lucky stars that it wasn't you George.

The 'ashes' that I care to think about is the only one with cricket connotations.

Roll on the 1st test July 8th 2015.

I just hope it isn't an action replay of 2014!

There you go George, duly Moderated, so the Phoenix has in fact risen from the ashes - this time.

      Hi Archemedes,

"sometimes the Moderator is not particularly helpful"

"I suspect that we have a part-time Moderator"

If you contact me I can be very helpful as many other users have found. I do not read every post in the forums (we get > 1500 a day) so if anyone has any issues I cannot advise or act unless I know about these.

I am full time and the only moderator but moderating the forums is just one part of my job. I am also the tester for the patient.info site overall as well as dealing with the feedback site so sometimes there may be a delay in posts being approved depending on workload.

      Millyimp,

Your post was deleted because you were recommending a specific practitioner/website which is classed as advertising.

To clarify, there is no issue with posting anything in the forums as long as the post complies with our policies. When a post goes for moderation there is a link to the FAQ on why in the placeholder (and also when a post is deleted). Due to the rules we have to have in place to stop spammers sometimes "innocent" posts do get caught up for moderation but they will be approved. There is an FAQ section linked at the bottom of every page in the forums which goes here http://patient.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/topics/59133-discussion-forums

that explains our policies in more detail as well as other subjects such as contacting me etc.

      Regards,

      Alan

And massive cool eyebrows that won't detach! cheesygrin

Dear Georgia, I may not look at them very often but I am greatly protective of them. One granddaughter is very keen on tying them up with pink ribbon, but where I go the eyebrows go, pink ribbon or no.

You're a whole new type of Drag Queen George! Belly laughing. lol
