Natural ways to Shrink Fibroids

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone has been able to shrink their fibroids naturally?

I have seen a lot of stuff on the internet but a lot of it is confusing. For example they say exercise more, eat more greens, eat organic foods, eat less meat etc

What if you already do all of the above and still have fibroids? I am 5.6 feet and weigh 53kg or 8.5 stones or so, meaning I am a bit underweight. I use almond milk with gluten free cereal. I am gluten and lactose intolerant so already I eliminate a lot of foods. I cannot imagine eliminating any more foods without having a dull life. I exercise at least 4 times a week – 2 or 3 times at the gym and walk at least 20mins – 30mins every day.

Please can anyone share their story of naturally shrinking fibroids?

Thank you very much smile

Hi missy26092, stress is a huge factor in making the fibroids grow bigger so I would look at yoga and continue doing the exercise. i suffer from anxiety and i know for a fact this made my fibroids much worse. also eating or drinking anything with the hormone oestrogen can contribute to nelarging your fibroids even more. I know it sounds so dull but try using organic milk minue the hormones added and try eating organic fruit/veg/meat. expensive it can be but maybe worht it. I have started reflexology also to help with my fibroids so I will let you know how that goes. stress ist he biggest and most damaging factor though. i am currently trying to reduce my stress levels. taking up yoga and I use rescue remedy when I feel anxious.Hope this helps somewhat :-*

    Hi,

I managed to eradicate my fibroids through natural methods, I used basic dietary changes and dealing with my "stuff".

when you say basic dietary changes, is it things like meat free, gluten free, diary free.

Diuretic foods like cucumbers and watermelons, dark green leafy vegetables to flush out toxins, vitamion b rich foods like brown rice, fersh veg like brocoli which increases oestrogen excretion - hope this helps.

Hi, i'm a first time participant of any sort; dealing with fibroids way too late; Had I known that there were other measures I could have been taking, i would have; and unfortuneately it's just something doctors really don't talk about or rathre not acknowledge; not sure.  I'm TTC, I'm 41, have enumerous fibroids, most are small, atop of each other looking at my MRI; my largest one is about 5cm; my uterus measures 10by10by16; increased from 9by5by7 within a year and a half; that my be due to IVF; but I had to take a break for a year due to another condition I was managing.   I consider myself to be healthy; I workout a few times each week and eat healthy, though in eating healthy, I have found things to reduce further in an effort to improve my uterine health. I wondered, if you could elaborate on your results and over what period of time and some of what you did. Now that I am planning IVF again, I have learned all these natural approaches, which really upsets me that I could have been doing this for the past year and a half.  I don't have time on my side in terms of family planning. So I'm hoping I can have some measurable results before IVF b/c I can't do supplements during that time; but of course I will keep up the diet and exercise part.

I had these huge fibroids 4 of them and the biggest was 13 cm. for years and years I tried all natural stuff, I'm gonna be honest with you. Those fibroids can only shrink very little and the next thing you know they growing again with that natural herbal stuff. For me, the herbs only help with balancing hormones and also help a little with heavy periods. As far as shrinking, I never see no difference after years of waiting. I had laparoscopy surgery in August 2014.letme tell you it worth it. Now I'm working on getting pregnant. My advice is don't wait too long caz they grow each year. I only stayed 5 days after surgery n I was back at work. It wasn't too bad. You have no freedom with those fibroids, believe it or not.

Thank you for sharing this as i totally agree with you. For me i think the natural diet slowed the growth so they doubled in size in over a year, where as i had heard they can grow this way in months.

I agree with you. I should of gotten surgery along time ago but I didn't have any symptoms from the fibroid. Only when I lay on my back my stomach isn't flat. From sonogram from 2 years, my fibroid may be the size of a 19 week pregnancy (melon) and too big for laparoscopy surgery.

Mine was huge too, and wanted to be the first one forsurgerythat day caz he was so amazed on how big it was and being that I'm short, it was so hard for them to work on me but they did. It took them all day caz I went in like 6:30 am, and only woke up around 4pm. I passed out and ended up being admitted at the hospital caz I was sooo anaemic, my hemoglobin dropped all the way to 5. Later my doctor said, we should of done this at the hospital. If you don't care about being pregnant, you can keep them if they don't bother you. Everybody's body is different. I've heard some ppl say they taken all natural stuff and it works. Maybe true. The only thing that works just a little would be: DIM, Serrapeptase, Nattokinase. Maybe if you take those for years it might work.

I agree. Whilst I am a fan of natural methods wherever possible, I think that I waited too long before taking the surgical route. I was lucky that I was able to find an excellent surgeon who undertook a laparoscopic myomectomy for my huge fibroid (size of 28 week pregnancy). I had to pay privately as unfortunately the NHS would not have had the time or patience to deal with this laparascopically (the op took 6 hours!!) However, I had a great result and an easy recovery. I haven't looked back since and am now nearly 2 years post op. Good luck everyone.
