Natural ways to Shrink Fibroids

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone has been able to shrink their fibroids naturally?

I have seen a lot of stuff on the internet but a lot of it is confusing. For example they say exercise more, eat more greens, eat organic foods, eat less meat etc

What if you already do all of the above and still have fibroids? I am 5.6 feet and weigh 53kg or 8.5 stones or so, meaning I am a bit underweight. I use almond milk with gluten free cereal. I am gluten and lactose intolerant so already I eliminate a lot of foods. I cannot imagine eliminating any more foods without having a dull life. I exercise at least 4 times a week – 2 or 3 times at the gym and walk at least 20mins – 30mins every day.

Please can anyone share their story of naturally shrinking fibroids?

Thank you very much smile

I had been diagnosed with multiple fibroids and cysts in my uterus and my doctor wanted to give me a full hysterectomy.  I went into panic mode!!! Even though I was done having children, I didn't want to jump into menopause and hormone therapy! I started researching natural ways to reduce and get rid of all this crap!! You have to know what works for you. Every one is made up different so find what works for you and your body. For me, I have a lot of inflammation and vitamin deficenciency (iron, calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D).  So, I researched how to rid inflammation in the body and started juicing and increasing natural foods and water versus meats and breads. Success for me!!! No more cysts, the two fibroids I have have shrunk from 5cm to 3cm and 3.2cm to 2.5cm. Be persistant and patient, you have time as long as your not in a life threatening situation. Keep researching!!!

Thanks for sharing Toni and congratulations! Do you mind answering a few questions:

      1. How long did it take to shrink your fibroids?

      2. Do you think it matters if you use a Vitamix to make juices vs a juicer?

      3. How many juices do you drink daily on average?

      Thanks again!

I am 46 years old, have a 9 year old girl. I was booked for UFE recently but declined because I learnt there could be complications if you become pregnant. Even though I am not planning to become pregnant , I want to keep that option open before I enter menopause. I have a 8cm fibroid and a couple other smaller ones. If I opt for mayomectomy, can this interfere with pregnancy if it does occur?

Sad to say at 57 the fibroids are back and i have been in so much pain again over the past 18 months. Greetings,

I've experienced much success in shrinking my fibroids.  As surgery was not an option for me, I was told that taking Flintstone chewable children's vitamins would help reduce the bloated, pregnant look as well as the excessive bleeding.  Much success indeed!!! I went from heavy bleeding every day to only two days of heavy bleeding during a 7 day cycle. It took about three months to get there so patience and consistency is a must.

First, I started doing deep breathing exerises to rid myself of stress (a huge trigger for fibroids!).  I got so good at it, I could feel my brain tingling from the bursts of oxygen in my system. I started doing really light exercise (dancing for 15 minutes while getting dressed in the morning, crunches while lying in the bed (seriously!), and marching in place) to maintain a relatively flat tummy. I'm only 5ft tall, so any excess weight would make me look pudgy. I also drank plenty of water and took three vitamins a day (usually before going to bed to maximize absorption).

Although I can still feel them from time to time, I no longer feel the hardness of the "rocks" and all the pain that came with carrying them in my lower abdomen and behind my belly button.  The scratching feeling and having them roll around in my insides has gone away as well.  Now I can tell which foods are triggers for my fibroids so when I feel them building up, I increase the activities above and make sure I stick to taking my vitamins on a regular basis.

FYI: The main aggitators for me were stress and ice cream (which I no longer eat nor crave -- now that I know.)

    Hope this helps!

Very insightful discussion but you missed an important point which is estrogen dominance as this is one of the most highly suspected culprit in developing fibroids, you have to oppose the estrogen by taking progesterone in addition to what has been mentioned.......your doctor should test you for progesterone with a saliva test and accordingly start a treatment for bio-identical hormones.....refer to Dr. John R. Lee M.D., the pioneer in bio-identical hormone.

Hi Missy. I have changed my diet and began exercising as well but the key is to add natural supplements. I began taking prenatal vitamins,B12, omegas, vitamin e & c, primrose oil ( these help with inflammation and pain). DIM helps with controlling your hormones. That the main reason we get fibrosis is do to high levels of estrogen and our system is not eliminating enough toxins. Turmeric cleanses your blood and systemic enzymes help with the break down of fibroids. Also consider doing a natural cleanse that supports the seven channels of eliminations. Drink tons of water and maintain a proper diet along with exercise. I was not able to walk due to pain and inflammation.  I am now pain free and the inflammation has decreased significantly. This is my first menstrual period where I have no cramps. Birth control does help as well. My system is cleansing itself and getting rid of a whole lot. Do some research and see if you feel comfortable taking these supplements. I hope this helps.

My fibroids were quite small, around pea and grape size within my womb lining. It meant I had really heavy periods, pain, swollen abdomen, as well as the mood swings, and I also had really bad hormone spots on my face and shoulders. This developed when I reached 30. I decided to try the contraceptive pill which is what the consultant advised and after three

different pills, I ended up on one called Lucette. I also gave up smoking and started going to the gym more. I have to say, for three years the pill

has reduced all my symptoms, however I really dislike having to take it,

so three months ago I stopped taking it. In the past when I have done

this, my symptoms have returned with a vengeance, however this time it has been different. I've had two nearly three periods which are like they

were previous to me developing fibroids, and I have had no hormonal

    spots.

I'd like to think that my fibroids have now shrank or better still disappeared however I will need to go back to the hospital for another scan to be

sure. I do beleive that by smoking I had confused the hormones in my body which contributed to the fibroids and when I gave this up, all the

hormones were able to return to normal, resulting in the shrinkage of the fibroids. Of course it's still too early to tell but based on my past

experience, this is the longest I've gone off the pill with ought the return

    of my symptoms.

I hope you find some relief soon.

That's all great but now had pipelle sample and told I have Hyperplasia, ughh now wondering if by not having period this has caused it! Thats fantastic that they have shrunk. I to take acv and although mine have not shrunk they have not grown so thats good. One has died but all the others have good blood supply. I continued to bled heavily and my uterus has enlarged. Did you also change your diet at all ?

      Hi there,

I have tried to cut out dairy but do still have a little cheese n butter, just swapped cows milk for soya now. Because I haven't had proper period for 2 1/2 mths i'm wondering if the diagnosis of Hyperplasia is because I haven't bled and uterous lining is thicker for that reason. I think I have actually expelled a little bit of fibroid tissue when I did have last period as wasn't like a clot, was greyish coloured tissue! Are your fibroids big or small? They have classed mine as small but because they are rarest type (submucosal) and most likely to cause heavy bleeding wanted something done about it. Used to have the most horrendous periods ever. How long u been on the acv?

      Hi there!

Interesting, I havent heard of Hyperplasia before.

I personally dont have fibroids anymore as I had an operation to remove them. I have been trying to cut out bad foods, to prevent them from coming back. I havent tried ACV but cut out dairy and some wheat too. I wanted to say though that I heard soya isnt very good for us. Soya as its produced in UK/US/EUROPE is apparently GMO and that causes it to adversely affect hormones. I personally use almond milk but i seek out brands that dont use artifical additives. Definitely do some research on soya.

I took acv for about a year i thiink, then stopped when i started esmya, then had myomectomy, but they were unable to remove the fibs as they were to embeded into the uterus and i was losing to much blood.  So now back on ACV. I will pm you my blog. Much debabte on soya, so I do almond milk or hazelnut or coconut. Here in the UK, alpro do a good range

My gynecologist prescribed Esmya to me too. I wil ask for another doctor's opinion and will decide what to do. I have already cut white meat and eggs, most of the cards and white sugars. I am on brown cereals, soya butter, NO MILK and CHEESE whatsoever will also eradicate any red meat, let's see what happens

The Esmya did shrink my fibroids for them time i was on it. But once off it they grew again, even though on the diet, maybe they grew at a slower rate, but hard to know. Eat lots of green leafy veg - kale, sprouts, brocolli, cauliflower.
