    Hi Tess,

Glad everything went ok with ur appt.

Thank crunchie its Friday. Been one of those weeks. Nothing in particular to moan about....but Im just glad its the weekend.

Was catching up on my paperwork there, and Ive just decorated my front porch with \"spooky\" thangs.... :D And if I do say so myself....my pumpkin lantern is fab this year... If the kids don`t come round...I`ll be eating sweeties constantly for the next month! I do enjoy it though...always have done. Since Connor`s grown up, Ive had to quit dressing up....as this mortifies him... I used to do the witches hat, long wig, and big pointy nose when I gave the kids their sweeties. Had a big hairy hand that I put through the catflap when they knocked the door...

Quiet nite planned otherwise. Ian`s on a sleepover in work and Connor will no doubt be out and about with his friends.

Hope u all have a pleasant evening.

    Hi Lindy

Yes I am glad it is weekend. As I don't work I do have it quiet normally now during the week. Use to look after my granddaughter four days a week but she started school in September. My daughter had another little girl four weeks ago called Sophie. I had looked after Molly from 5months old until she started school. I did say to my daughter that I couldn't do it for Sophie as I wanted more time for me! She understood and will be looking for a child minder for her when she goes back to work in Feb.

I had bought up five children of my own and child minded lots of others while mine were small so felt the right time especially with the fms to take more quality time for myself and Stewart my husband.

We have a motorhome and Stewart gets four or five days off during his shifts so is good now for us to go away on those days weather permitting.

One day we might even come up to Scotland as never been before!

How old is your son! All my children have moved out apart from Chris who comes home in the holidays from Uni. So I have a very quiet house at times.

I also buy sweets for the children who come to the door dressed up in their haloween clothes. I bought lots last year and only had about four come knocking on the door. Ended up with lots of lollies etc left.

Not bought quiet so many sweets this year! Have also bought things I like so if no one comes I can eat them lol! Been to see my daughter with Sophie and Molly this afternoon. Took Molly a halloween bag full of goodies round for her.

Have a good weekend. I have a quiet one as Stewart is on days and working from 7 til 7 over the weekend. Although my daughter Steph and her partner Ant are coming for Sunday roast at teatime.

    Take care

    Hi Tess,

I totally agree with u. You and Stewart need and deserve ur own time now.

I work full time, so does Ian. He`s a team leader with a housing project for people with learning disability. Im an SVQ assessor/verifier in care with a college in the city. Was a nurse for a longggggg time...

    Connor is 14. Ian has 5 girls, ranging from 30 - 16. And there`s 2 tiny tots....Megan - 2 and Kayla 6months.

I do enjoy having a \"little borrow\" of the tiny`s.....but its greattttttttt to give them back.. Does that sound terrible?

You really must visit Scotland. But I have to say, do so in better weather...lol. There are some very beautiful places in the North.

Ive had 3 kids at the door so far. Thing is, they`ve all grown up round here! Not so many little ones around.

Looks like I could be lolly popped and love hearted out ....

    Hi Lindy, Di & Everyone!

You have got a big extended family Lindy! Its dosen't sound terrible to say about giving them back  I am looking after Sophie overnight for Amy while she goes to a Wedding in a couple of weeks. Think I could be awake most of the night. She will only be 7 weeks old bless! Good job Stewart not on nights we can do a shift each lol

I am disappointed as haven't had any trick or treat people at my door!

Will have to eat all those sweets now! Getting a bit too late for people to come.

Di poor you with your migraine. I can totally understand as I get them too but luckily haven't had one since I started taking ampytripline in the evening. Although I have had a headache on and off all day. Due to my hormones again. Like Lindy said just put your lights out and don't answer door. Hope you feel a bit better now as you just have to go to bed and keep lights off

    Take care everyone!

Hi there my dear friends xxxx

I have been feeling awful due to side effects I think from the Lyrica I was taking...... as the breathing difficulties really got to me and decided to wean myself off the tablets and now I am in loads more pain  The X-ray results of Olivia were not back yet so I will phone on monday ??? My two and half year old (3 2nd jan) went trick or treating with my eldest and her boyfriend he was so happy coming back with all the sweeties

Anyway I am so feeling like poo today I do hope you Tess, Skye and Di and everyone else have a lovely weekend as I feel now as the weather is so bitter it is as though the pain is penetrating somehow, the only good thing is my sleep pattern has altered since coming off these tablets???? very peculiar? I have had side effects before so I think I am going to ask for an allergy test or something when I go next I have to goto the nurse this week anyway to check my lung capacity.... can't remember what it was called??? but really looking forward to that!!!!

Gentle hugs to you all xxxxx

    Hi [b:d9390c1c29]SES[/b:d9390c1c29]

Sorry to hear ur feeling so unwell. Lyrica can cause breathing problems, which of course if u have already, will be greatly exagerated. They also cause insomnia. Isn`t it bloody awful when medication taken for one thing...can cause so many other problems! Hellish! (not everyone gets the side effects, but unfortunately some do)

Would it be a peak flow test ur having done?

I hope u feel better over the weekend.

[b:d9390c1c29]Tess[/b:d9390c1c29], I had 8 kids at the door trick or treating! Dannii (Ian`s youngest), was staying over last weekend and helped me make up the sweetie bags...I had 30!!!! So, I had to empty them all back into the sweetie tub! Thats the decorations down for another year! Christmas next... :D

i have lost 3 good friends due to this illnes who just dont understand my illnes and my other best friends say they are no lost to me then as they should be trying to understand how i feel.

I am getting myself worked up already about this appeal for dla on the 19th of november i cant believe that they make u go through this and basically put ur life in there hands.

Hi Ses, Lindy, Di and Everyone!

Is the lung capacity test for your asthma Ses! I do hope you get Olivia results back soon. All we ever do is wait! What did Ethan dress up as for Halloween! I was looking forward to seeing some little ones dressed up last night but didn't get any come to my door! I have other years this is the first year for a long while.

Yes Lindy now Halloween over start to think about Christmas lol. There is Bonfire Night but we don't do anything for that one! I don't like the noise of the fireworks. Although there are some pretty ones! I normally just look out my window at other peoples.

It can take quite a few days to get over a migraine Di. Even when the headache gone I still feel disorientated for a few days afterwards. Luckily not had one since about April. Didn't know if I was going to get one yesterday as had headache lingering all day. When I went to bed still had headache and woke up with it. Took some tabs for it but still lingering today. I can get them when my period is bad because of the hormone change!

As for the three friends that have abandoned you because of your illness they are not worthy to be called your friends. If they were true friend would try and understand what you are going through. You have made more than three friends on here who all understand what it is like and will support you. The three that have left you down are not worth worrrying about.

Well hope we all don't get too much pain today. Miserable dull day here and think either going to rain or snow lol.

    Hi, Tess, Ses and everyone,

Hope your daughter`s results come back soon, Ses, the waiting is awful and more so when you are waiting for your daughter. I remember when my Ann was young and we were waiting for her test results. Ses, I was taking Mirtazapine for depression for 6 months, until August, and it wasn`t until GP changed them that I realised that several things which I had blamed on the Fibro were actually side effects of the tablets. Sometimes I think we take so many different things at the same time for the many problems we have and they don`t always mix!!

Di and Tess I have suffered with migraine since my teens, it runs in my family! It can also be one of the many complaints that go with the Fibro, and I`ve had many more since then. They had begun to settle down during the last 10 years but I can have more than one a week now. I do have a good treatment though, Maxalt, and they very rarely last as long as they used to. Thank goodness!

Well, coming to Peterborough tomorrow Tess, to visit my Mum. I`ll be worn out when I get home, not because she`s any trouble, but I like to try and do one or two jobs for her as she has no one else.

    Well take care, everyone

    Love Linda

    HI there everyone,

Well skye yes it is a lung capacity test as Tess had said  had peak flow tests done years ago and Di as Tess says hun if these so called friends do not have time for you because of this illness then they are not worth the stress hun  I am due for my DLA appeal soon Di as mine has gone to the commissioner, the point is they didn't get my medical records in order and only went by an assumption from a doctor I didn't see? so now I have submissions from my Pain Management Consultant to my file and so hopefully the file will be looked at properly???? instead of brushed to one side because I have fibro not the fact about all the difficulties I/we have on a day to day basis, Osteo-arthritis, etc etc

Ethan dressed up a little, I got a :ghost: costume from town and he loved it  and as :fullmoon: Halloween is over :witch: yes Christmas is around the corner :xmastree: and thankfully I have almost finished :holly:  Tess has your Holly come to your house dressed up? I hope so to cheer you up xxxx

I do hope you all have had a good day and I hope you have got things done Di as nothing worse than not being able to do it!!!! Do not get stressed though if you haven't been able to do it, as over doing things can be the worse thing we can do xx if you haven't hun just Keep smiling and think well done for the achievements and you can finish things another day xxxx

Yeah Linda I am in severe pain now as all I have to fall back on is Tramadol I have all sorts of side effects in the past and I am so fed up as this \"lyrica\" actually sorted the overall body pain apart from the osteo in the hip and spine so I am fed up

I am thinking logically though if there was anything severely wrong with Olivia they would have contacted more or less straight away so I am not as worried as I was? hopefully I am right??? thanks everyone for your concerns xxxxxx

Anyway my dear friends we should all make sure we are wrapped uo now as the aches and pains are advanced with me I feel due to this bitter weather, I am sick of going to bed with a hot water bottle to ease the pain in hip and spine but it is the only relief I have, keep smiling everyone and again gentle hugs to you all xxxxxx

Hi Ses, Linda, Di & Everyone!

No Ses didn't see Molly dressed up this year! I was round Amy's then she went out later with her dad but only did her street! I have seen her dressed up before as a Mouse and Witch and have photos of her. I bet Ethan looked cute as a ghost!

I am sure you are right about not hearing anything about Olivia's results that everything is fine! You have done well with your Christmas Shopping i haven't started yet. Luckily our five children are all grown up and we give them money for Christmas. That way they can spend it on what they want. The girls normally spend it on clothes! Sometimes the boys do as well or music, computer games etc.

I have six little ones to buy for Molly and Sophie. Also my nephew's got four children from 8, 6, 3 and 3 weeks old! I have a niece and nephew, my dad, stu's mum, and each other. The brothers and sisters on both sides of the family we don't buy for each other only for the children.

It is good that Keri is helping you Di with the housework. Our children do surprise us at times! We had rain yesterday! Early this morning had more rain but had a bit of sun fleetingly in afternoon. It has been a lot milder here today! We had no frost this morning for the first time in two days! How is your headache today? Mine is better but still lingering at times.

You are right about all the different tablets Linda I think they do make things a lot worse at times. I try not to take too much if I can help it! I only take my daily dose of thyroxine that I have to take everyday! Also a couple of tabs for irritable bowel and my ampytripline in the evening. The only pain relief I take when I need it is paracetomol or coproxomol.

I take paramax for my migraines that the doctor prescribed me. They are ok but big round tablets a bit difficult to swallow. They make me feel really tired and spaced out though.

I hope you are not doing too much at your mum's today! It is strange to think you are not too far away from me today. Where does your mum live in Peterborough! I use live in Peterborough at Dogsthorpe. Don't know if you no where that is lol.

Well hope everyone else is keeping ok. Take care all!

    Hi Tess and everyone

Just got home from Mum`s so having a very lazy evening! Just cooked dinner, went around the bungalow with a cobweb brush and took her shopping for Christmas cards! It doesn`t sound much and sometimes I wish I was able to do more, but with this awful condition we have it`s as much as I could manage. Just driving there and back is tiring enough!

She lives near the ice rink in Bretton now, Tess, but used to live in Birchtree avenue!!

I`m suffering more with fatigue than pain at the moment, always very stiff though. Like you tess I try not to take too much medication, just my Thyroxine, Amitriptyline, and anti-depressant. I queried why I needed an anti-depressant as well as Amitrityline and apparently the dose we take for Fibro is too low to have an anti-depressant effect. I did have some pain killers when the OA in my knees was very bad, but only took one as it just sent me to sleep and then left me feeling hung over!

Well everyone hope you all get a refreshing nights sleep. Lol

    Love Linda
