@ short me! I don't think it's available here yet, I had to ask my mom to go to WalMart in America and send me some. The only side effects are sometimes I can't get away from the bathroom but I have lost 2 1/2 pounds in 9 days. Hopefully they will get them here soon because shipping from America ain't cheap. I have another 30 day supply coming but they have not come in yet. I just wish I could get my scrip filled.

Thanks @ fender_gurl and toady. I have just bought some from amazon and paying the shipping from america- i hope they are real and they don't take too long- they are VERY expensive but i really don't want to go without and with only 15 left i can only hope they take less than a month to arrive. i just wish GSK would release a statement about when they might be back on the shelves : (

    Hi All,

    Hope you are all well.

Have you all managed to get some orlistat now.

Im 5 days in on my first box and so far havnt had any bad side effects, just had one lot of sickness one morning after I had alcohol the night before and have had a few minor stomach cramps but nothing 2 bad.

Does anyone who has been on them before when weight loss usually starts. I havnt weighed myself yet as I am going to see my dietition on Monday and he will do that. I am just aware that you have to lose so much in the first 3 months or they may take you off of the tablets...or so it says in my orlistat leaflet lol.

No I still havent been able to get any here in Essex... I took them two years ago and started losing weight the first week ..I lost two stone in the first 8 weeks then it stopped ..nothing the next two months and my GP stopped them.. but I now understand that can happen and usually it will start to come off again.. My GP this time around has said taht I can take them for up to a year ..

I havent put any weight on the last few months waiting for the Orlistat but I havent lost any either.

Also for the moderator I have stopped receiving emails when there are any new posts to this thread.. I checked my profile and I should still get them. ?

    Hi All

If you phone the Roche customer care phone number there is an option to hear the latest on orlistat availability. I phoned this morning and they said they hoped (but couldn't guarantee) that stocks of orlistat would be back by the end of september (they should know a more accurate date by the end of august) - even then once it's in the warehouses there will be so much owing to community pharmacies it will take a little time to settle down. The phone number is 0800 7315711 and it's option 3 on the ansaphone.

    hope this helps!
