this is worrying and annoying as is affecting me at work now as my leg also aches a lot now.

      Hi Sam

All the specilaist are now saying its all coming from / due to spinal stenosis in my lower lumber area / nerve roots being squeezed etc

I have had about 8 / 10 MRIs and a few CTs and all the doctors are in agreement - talk of operation to enlargen my cannels - we will wait and see what 2016 brings

Funny left leg too. Feels like something crawling around in my calf and maybe miniature popcorn popping in there too. I can actually see the nerves jumping sometimes. That wouldn't be so bad but the pain on the outside of my left calf (outside of leg) and pain running up into my left hip is the worst part. I had nerve tests (EMG's) and they said it was my peroneal nerve. So...I had surgery to relieve the nerve. They called it a Peroneal Nerve Release. Ok. That's almost a year ago and it is not better at all. Then the pain doc says it's from S1 - L5 in my back. I am lost with all this. No one knows the answer and it's been going on for over 5 years. I'm a bit hopeless at this point. I hope others out there are finding answers.

Hi perky. Omg I have exact same problem as you I have degrading discs L4 and L5 but S1 root is being annoyed by the protruding disc I'm on steroids at moment I've gone through the muscle twitching and electrical feelings. Bloody horrible isn't it. I've had MRI. Lumba puncture and EMG I have calf muscle and right buttock wasting due to the lack of correct signals in my nerves to my muscles. I think I may need an operation but you say your opp didn't help. Hope you're having a better day today

OK, I have had numbness form knee down for past 2 months--also like a band around my ankle.  I have the last 2 days worn different shoes and it is so much better.  I think the shoes I was wearing was causing some nerve damage.

I don't know if this is the forum I visited last year when I have the same but mild irritating condition like yours. (sorry for my english)

It affects my work and my relationship to my family because I'm irritated.

I have other illness and been cured by doctors.

But when limitation comes, all we can hope is for God's mercy.

I have been healed by faith.

I know it’s hard to be sick and irritated.

In my case, even children's laughter are noise to me.

I don't even want to be embrace by my two little kids and my wife because of my condition.

    Then I cried and pray.

Right now I am in better condition because of Jesus Christ.

I have nearly the same symptoms. Did you ever find out what it was?

It depends with where you are,I had the same tests done and it took 5weeks to get the appointment.

It took about the same time for mine as it seems that it is done in specialist centres. There only seemed to be one in East Sussex and I had a 50 minute train journey to get to it.The Guy was working seven days a week. My appointment was for about 4.30 on a Sunday. I assumed that I would be his last patient but when I came out another eight were waiting.

I had the cortosine? Steroid shot once in my butt but it did not work.

Numbness in both hands and now starting to get pins and needle in my legs.

Been taking ibuprofine 800 mg twice a day but only work slightly. Just taking to prevent getting any worse but numbness still there.

I took oral steroid for 5 days but still same problem.

I am worried if its very serious

My wife had that and it is very good. You can get it on prescription but I noticed that the osteopath had other versions of it. It takes a couple of weeks to make a difference.
