i had blood tests, all came back clear.
saw dr again and he said i need a nerve conduction test, but no idea how long this will take to get
the appt.
this is worrying and annoying as is affecting me at work now as my leg also aches a lot now.
any one have any ideas or have had the same symptoms? thanks

That has presented a problem as Inhealth who run the scanner do not yet have a protocol for patients with MRI compatible pacemakers!!

The numbness started before the lower back problem but suddenly at the start of June the numbness worsened to the extent that I cannot walk without my wifes arm or hand for support.
At that time I was taking Bisoprolol and thought it might be a side effect from it as Google finds neuropathy to be a side effect of it. Other symptoms went but not the numbness.
I am mainly OK indoors but as soon as I put shoes on it dramatically worsens.

Recent NICE rulings have limited the treatments for back pain and they now regard acupuncture as a "Sham" so will have withdrawn support for it.
The numbness in my foot continues when walking outside and my back pain is worse. I eventually had a whole spine and pelvic MRI scan privately that cost me £914 and did not show anything that was not on the CT scan. The neurosurgeon said there was nothing for his knife and referred me back to my GP with again a must be neuropathy diagnosis. My GP has now referred me to a neurologist who specialises in neuropathy.
I did see an osteopath but when she saw the small aortic aneurysm on my CT scan was afraid her treatment might burst it, I did see a cranial osteopath who does a gentler treatment. It helped to a degree in loosening other joints but she felt that she was not helping the real problem.
