Sorry something wrong to my computer. I will check with my neuro. dr. about the cream since my next apptmt. is 2 days away.

What about supplements for similar symptoms from Amazon supplements website. Anyone from this forum has tried any of the supplements? Im against medicines because of the side effects such constipation, etc.

This condition sounds identical to what I am experiencing.  The peroneal nerve branches off from the sciatic nerve at the knee, runs down the outside of the calf then crosses over the top of the foot and down to the big toe and both toes adjacent to the big toe.  If the nerve is pinched at any point along the sciatic nerve, including where the sciatic nerve exits the spine, you can experience sharp electric like pain, numbness, and pins & needles and possbly drop foot.  These symptoms should not be ignored as damage of compression of the nerve for extended periods of time can result in permanent damage, including a dramatic effect on your gait.  In my case, through an MRI, EMG, and x-rays, it became apparent the sciatic nerve was being compressed at the spinal comlumn L5-S1;  I had back fusion which allowed more space for the nerve to exit.  Immediate relief of pain in the buttock and upper thigh.  Below the knee the nerves are recovery on a daily basis, but the more distal the nerve, the slower the progress.  After a month since surgery, the pins & needles is now primarily in the ankle and foot and showing improvement; the drop foot will require months to recover with PT.  The reason being the nerves being compressed to not receive or send signals to the muscles which control the dorsiflexion of the foot - after decompression (in my case the spine)  it takes time for the nerves to regenerate in some cases, or simply start to fire up again.  Hope the helps.  The EMG was the best indicator of where the source of the problem was.

Ultrasound diagnoised Bakers Cyst. Exersize therapy 2-3 times a week for 6 weeks or have the fluid behind my knee drained. Sounds more practical to have it drained. May have to do this again in 6 months or a yr. We will see.

My numbness and tingling goes up to my thighs. The neurologist

says I have Gilliam Barre. It is sometimes in the shoulder and arm.

My GP says with another neurologist that it is radicular neuropathy.

My problem is that it comes and goes everyday.I never know

when it will happen. It seems as though I get very sleepy when

it hits.I have had all the tests and waiting on results of the

Arterial test along with sonogram of the thyroid.Drs say thyroid

    problems can cause this numbness.

I had a giant brain tumor that was pushing on my brain that controlled the left arm! Get an MRI!
