i had blood tests, all came back clear.
saw dr again and he said i need a nerve conduction test, but no idea how long this will take to get

I have been reading these posts and I can recognize some of the problems presented. I have numbness and tingling on both my feet for more than 6 years, went to several doctors I have done all kind of exams blood tests, NMR´s to my column and head, tumor blood markers that came lucky me negative, 2 complete electromyography exams, on my feet, legs and arms and up to very recently no special indication why this was happening. In the past 3 months things got much worst and I started having this feeling coming up both my legs, a bit on some parts of my upper thorax and then to my face and lips. I went again to my neurologist and after another NMR on my column they discovered something very subtle was wrong with one of my vertebras that was causing this new phenomena, with probably pressure on some nerves, but nothing related to my feet, then I have done another electromyography now only to my lower part of my legs and feet, by a neurologist specialized in this area in a University Hospital and he very quickly discovered that I probably have what they call Morton neuroma, a condition that you can see a lot on the net, that has a lot of the synthons I feel, except pain, because I do not feel any pain, but a lot of discomfort specially at night when I lay down and feel my feet touching the sheets, with this feeling of numbness and tingling that sometimes does not allow me to get to sleep. Next week I am going to do an echography to my feet to see if this is what I have and prepare for a good treatment afterword’s. Hope this has helped a bit some of you

I'm a bit concerned about the suggested link between the neuropathy and the Morton's Neuroma. I have both conditions and as far as I'm aware they are unrelated. The Neuroma only hurts when you walk - it's like walking on a pebble. The possible treatments are steroid injections, an operation or orthotic insoles. The latter work for me and I can walk just fine without pain now.
The pain, tingling and discomfort from touching the sheets etc at night is related to the neuropathy - that's what I had for many years. Thankfully, that aspect of the neuropathy is 80% less now, although the numbness in my feet and lower legs is unchanged.

I was just wondering if you've had anything confirmed yet. I have similar symptoms. My feet started out with pain in the ball of the foot several years ago and just last year, I started having numbness in both feet. I had an MRI done that showed some swelling, blood tests that basically came out normal except for some glucose testing that was on the high end of normal, not high enough to say I'm a diabetic. My nerve conduction test came back with bilateral tibial focal neuropathy. I could not get an appt with my neurologist until March of next year, but was told by my PCP and Neurologist to lose weight and exercise and to come back in a year. Doesn't help with the numbness, pain, etc. They are not quite sure what is causing my neuropathy. I do know that it gets worse when I'm anxious. I was told by an orthopedic that I had morton's foot but was told to stop treatment for that due to the results of the nerve conduction tests. I am starting to wonder if the morton's foot has caused these other issues due to not being treated. I was interested in the morton's neuroma dx you were given.

Well. Im a younger 'patient' and i have been feeling the same thing, except for not in my foot. What will happen is that my knee will feel funny, for some strang reason, then below it will start to feel what some would say 'tingly' but not too bad, more like midly 'fuzzy'? Then it will slowly make its way down. But never all the way to my foot.

I have the pain below my left knee to my ankle. Feels like I had a Charley horse in my sleep and woke up with the after pain. It hurts to walk distances. My left foot feels like pins and needles when I stand up for awhile. When I lay down, it all goes away except for an uncomfortable feeling in my calf. My pulse rate is 72 which means no blood clot yet. 100 or over is a big concern. I'm going to wait a few days believing it was the charley horse. Let's keep in touch on this.

I just starting this werid numb feeling ,left leg from my knee to the top of my foot, I can still feel my calf area that hasn't been affected (yet), it's not painful (yet) but still feel numb a werid feeling, been like this for a few days now, I haven't fell, bumped,or even wore different shoes. I don't have insurance so I'm trying to find a solution on Google and this convo was the closest to what I'm going though, so my question is, did your issues start like Mine? Is this the beginning of a larger problem?

Hi everyone I have started my own discussion on here but just thought I'd be seen on this discussion thread also for about 2 yrs my right leg has felt wierd and seeker but about 12 weeks ago I noticed a massive difference in my calf muscle size 2" diameter less than my good leg and I have been feeling constant muscle twiches inside my leg and in my buttock but hardly anything anywhere else in my body I have a theory that I may have b12 deficiency which is what helps keep the mylene sheath good around your spine I've been taking b12 tablets under my tongue which has helped a bit as my foot isn't as numb. But this week pure by chance I've eaten a few bandannas and my twitching has reduced a lot. Turns out according to Internet you need folate acid in your system to absorb b12 and there's quite a bit of folate acid in bananas so thought I'd share my thoughts. Just to mention I've thought about b12 because my mum was diagnosed with transverse militis and one day she could walk the next day and b12 defiency is a possible contributing fact in this problem. Regards to all. Terry.

First off that could be a potassium deficiency. Eat bananas and take some pill form. It takes days to weeks to build up in your system.
You could also be fat soluble vitamin deficient. You could get a full blood panel but make sure they check your cortisol levels and test for two things! A1C for Diabetes and thyroid problems (there are multiple test now to check thyroid)
Go to a chiropractor and get X-rays! And MRI BEFORE you let anyone work on your neck or back. IF you have a herniated swollen and inflamed disk and they adjust you (even if it's into the correct position!) they could pop the sack of spinal fluid or worse off pinch nerves! My guy even does what he calls RE EXAMS prior to an adjustment if I miss 2 sessions in a row. He's no joke. OH and he doesn't let me take any anti inflammatories. He says if you're in pain then you need to know so you can tell the doctors where it hurts. Also there is a such thing as rebound swelling. Look that up on google and you'll be surprised at what you SHOULD NOT do in this situation.
-Good luck

It also could've been the potassium in the bananas that helped with the twitching. By the way folate and folic acid are very different. If you don't rub folic acid built up in your muscles out from time to time then you'll have major debilitating problems. It will spread from your legs all over.

Hi cchey
Thanks for you info I'm on steroids at the moment to stop inflammation to reduce the nerve dsmamage im told I've got L4 and L5 disc degeneration with an annual tear. Which is protruding into fecal sack and S1 root nerve which is causing calf and buttock muscle atrophy and extreme muscle spasms and electrical dealings I go see neurologist again on 5th .. where you live I'm in U.K. Lincolnshire
