ovarian cyst,adhesions and endometriosis

Hi,Im a 39 yr old mum of 3 and i have had terrible abdominal pain since 2004,all the different GP'S i have seen have said i had IBS.Any tablets they gave me were useless. Then in feb i went back once again but this time was offered swabs and a ultrasound.GP was very rude and did not

want to refer me as she was sure i was waisting time and money. My ultrasound showed a 10cm cyst on my right ovary, the radiographer insisted that i didn't go back to the same gp again.I then saw my gyno and she said that my symptoms were also signs of adhesions and ednomitriosis, that i'd have to have a endoscopy in 3wks to see whats going on.She doesn't seem keen on doing anything about the adhesions but if im in pain i think they should.

Can you give me any advice please.I also want my ovaries removed their all i have left after a hysterectomy in 2001. THANKS.

Nothing to it just like an X-ray of your boobs just stood up only takes about 10 minutes if that no injections nothing you have to go just to make sure as i said usually benign so nothing to worry about. Seen him today said it's calcification in the right ovary by the looks of it so next time i see Consultant i am telling him i want it removed or have it all removed as i am 55 anyway and sterilized 30 years ago so not doing much anyway. Be thinking of you on the 6th of Jan that's my OH birthday. Have a good Crimbo and New year.

I have water where i am so no need to worry it's in Belfast and a couple of the really outlying areas that haven't it's way out in the countryside, do feel really sorry for them as it is really hard to get to them but being farmers they are very resourceful here and we are all very tough just get on with it and help each other. How was your Christmas went well i hope have a really good new years celebration tonight in Wales and take care on the ice, its all gone over here.

Hi it's nice to know you where thinking of me more than i can say about my closest friend she didn't even remember. It all went well had 2 mammograms and a ultra sound but it's is either fatty tissue or a glad of some sort that moisturises the nipple area, they wern't sure but nothing bad.We where there for 3 and a half hours i ww where so hungery but worth it.I'm back on antibiotics called trimethoprim can't seem to get rid of this broncitis at all and a high temp which ads to the night sweats.Never mind,we had an a nice crimbo and new yearit's good to be back to normal and i have had a appointment to be seen by the physio in hospital so i rang them and the gynos have sent me there, they are mad.I will tell my gp on tuesday and see what he thinks. How have you and your family been i hope you had a good time, any news of what could be causing your pain?

Glad it was nothing suspicious they usually aren't but it was good to get it checked out, better taking the antibiotics don't want it to get any worse. Why on earth are they sending you to the physio what is that supposed to do?. Going to do a Lapro next or so the Consultant at the hospital said to see if they can find out what the lesions are mind you haven't heard a word of them since the colonoscopy before Crimbo suppose they will put it down to scar tissue or endo same as yourself, I thought it was meant to go away after Meno but am on HRT so don't suppose that helps, don't expect to see him soon all surgery canceled here due to swine flu and no beds. OH away to Liverpool for the weekend with a few mates they have gone to watch the football he can't stand football so he's going for a walk round the shops told him to bring me something nice back. Very quiet Crimbo and New year and now back to normal as can be.

There are 13 dead from it so far so they say, went to see my GP today and said no Crohns this is the first time she has admitted it could be endo or scar tissue waited b****y long enough silly b***h you think being a woman she might be a bit more clued up, hows your Auntie fairing and how are all of you? Hope you get some sense out of your GP can't see the point in physio but who am i to judge might be method in there madness.

I agree with you but even i've found female docs or nurses less understanding than men and there bl**dy useless at times.Like when i was at the greast clinic he examined me and said apart from the lump they where purfect i looked at the nurse and she pulled a face i was stunned i don't think he realised what he said but we all had a good laugh afterwards. My auntie is much the same holding on poor thing and my boys are well but my danghters got a throat infection so shes off school for a week.My ohs fine only wishing he could do his back in cause he has to work on another ship for a month.his ship is going to dry dock.I hope your oh gets you a nice pressie, are you all ok?

Bought me PJs, knickers and socks always come in useful can never have enough, at least you had a laugh some people are so intelligent they don't think before they speak probably realized what he said after you left and was embarrassed about it. Hopefully he will get a month off on pay would be nice. Were all fine OH walked so much in Liverpool all his ankle was swollen up when he came home had to soak it in warm water and witch hazel gone down now so he's stopped complaining about it. Is your daughter on Antibiotics for her throat pleased your Auntie is still with you did she have a good Crimbo?.

Hi yes shes on antibitics and is a bit brighter today.Saw my doc and he was surprised they are sending me to physio and thought it was to do with my bladder he was then puzzled about my back as i don't have back pain alot only when the pain is at it's worst. He said they had no right to treat me badly just because i wanted another gyno,i told him they are not professional at all there if thts how they operate and he agreed with me.I don't really want to go to physio as a few years ago i went after someome hit my ankle with a shopping trolley and had to go.The man i saw made me underss and i felt really uncomfortable in his company he was really creepy the way he was looking at me,makes my skin crawl just thinking about it.I will buy some shorts to wear for the examination.Your poor OH,you like me i always get pj's you can never have to much.
