I'd like to say thanks to everyone for having thier fingers crossed etc for me at the docs today but sadly it did no bloody good whatsoever... he agreed that I am probably under prescribed thyroxine but refused to give me an increase yet as he says it's too soon. I am gutted......
I am sorry to hear about the problems some of us have with supermarkets. I've always hated them, for years I have made every excuse going to get out of the weekly shop. Recently when hubby was incapacitated I got the shock of my life at how much it all costs.
Marigold, not long after Ive taken the thyroxine my tummy starts to rumble like mad as if my digestion is coming to life but ive not noticed the same as you. I am envyous of the thought of whizzing through anything at present. Do you think that Sue might fancy pressure washing the drive when she gets back?
Kat, Don't break your back getting back to work, I ended up crying all over my manager's office yesterday because Ive been struggling for a while and at the end of my tether.
Most of it is frustration because everything I do has to be checked and re checked, taking forever as my attention to detail has completely gone the journey.
I hope everyone is as well as they can be.

Oh Jane so sorry to hear the Doctor wouldn't do anything, can you talk to your Endo or at least ask for a blood test to see where your levels are? I'm having a blood test next week so that's nearly 4 weeks i've been on Thyroxine and i'm sure you are just a few days ahead of me? Even though its early days you said your Endo said after a month you would feel so much better which you obviously ain't so maybe you do need an increase, why does this all make sense to us and not the Doctors?
I really don't know how you have been making into work up until now let alone being able to do anything when you get there, there is no way I could have done it, at least your Manager agreed to reduced hours but maybe you need to take some time off again until you get an increase? Can your Occ Health people offer any support?
Isn't it funny about some of us having the supermarket thing, I honestly thought I was on my own with that one. I do online shopping for my main shop, two reasons 1) I hate going into supermarkets 2) we live in the country so our local Tesco is really tiny and doesn't stock everything. I know its kind of avoiding the issue but hey it works for me.
Sue don't be sorry for my boredom, feeling better now just a touch of PMT me thinks. I have been taking my iron tablets again just to make sure I'm getting enough as I was anaemic before which after lots of investigation they decided was linked to the Graves/Thyroid. Have also started taking a mult vit (iodine free!) in the evening can't do any harm. Your baking sounds lovely my daughter has started baking too, so this week we have had brownies, pancakes and today she informs me she wants to make bread!
Getting my hair cut today which always cheers me up, the girl comes to the house so its all quite relaxed then X-Factor tonight, might even manage a glass of something cold with it this week didn't bother last week.
Take Care,
Kat xxxx

Hi Jane. I'm sorry things didn't go according to plan. I agree with Kat, see if you can get your blood checked and have a word with your endo. If your GP thinks you're probably under prescribed thyroxine how can it be too soon to increase it? I'd have thought the sooner it was increased the better. I had the opposite problem at one time. My T4 was too high but my GP said he wouldn't reduce the thyroxine as it would sort itself out. How could it? My levels would just go up and up. Anyway I didn't bother arguing with him I just phoned the endo and he told me to reduce it.
Hi Kat. Sounds like some tasties at your house too with your daughter's baking. I've never been very good with bread, my last attempt at breadbuns was a disaster. They'd have been better in the garden as a rockery.
I like getting my hair cut too. My hairdresser comes to the house . She's been cutting my hair for about thirty years so we're good friends and have a good natter, and she's full of fun so we have a laugh. I hope you enjoy your glass of something cold.
Hope everyone else is ok.
love,
Marigold

Marigold, hope you got your hair done, it sounds like good therapy. Hope you gassy tummy gets sorted - have you tried yoghurt for breakfast ? it might help.
Jane, sorry you are having such a rotten time, you must be so fed up with it. I hope work are being sympathetic and as for your doctor - couldn't you scream! Hang on in there, you are on the home stretch.
Kat, Hope you enjoyed your glass of somethiing, that and a hair do will make you feel better. I haven't had trouble with the supermarket for ages until I threw a wobbly in Waitrose. I originally dealt with it my going in every few days but only for about 15 mins then out the door. We thyroid people with our light sensitivity have it worse I think. Some supermarkets are known for causing problems with their lights, Asda are the worst apparently. I never go in there because I get occular migraine if I do. This winter, I too will be shopping on line, I live on top of a very steep hill and the road is never gritted so I will let them bring the shopping to me.
I have been feeling rotten this last weak, woozy and legs feeling wobbly (I hope you are impressed with my command of the English language). I have now cut my Propanolol down to 10 mgs. twice daily and will stop by the end of the week. I am already feeling better, brighter and even my eyes which had become blurry are clearer. What a state to be in, fit only for the knacker's yard.
Hope Barry, Debs, Dave and everyone are ok. Take care. Bess xx

I'm wondering if this can be a symptom of hypo ? Has anyone else suffered with palps when hypo? Surely I can't be hyper again after 2 weeks?!
I'm going the docs wednesday.
Hope you are all ok,take care baz

Hi Jane. I hope you've managed to contact your endo. I suppose with you being so hypo it'll take time to get your levels up again. I was lucky my endo wouldn't let my T4 get below 10 because of my eye problems, so it didn't take long for me to get back to normal levels. Take care.
Hi Sue. What a shame about your holiday. I feel itchy just hearing about the bedbug. Yuk. One thing you want on holiday is a clean bedroom, and another is decent food. I'd complain, just keep the letter simple and list the things you weren't satisfied with. If you think you're entitled to a refund ask for one, and as Bess says if you're not satisfied with the outcome give them a bad feedback on the internet. How are you feeling? Are you still feeling dizzy? Take care.
Hi Bess. I hope you're feeling better. I felt loads better once I was off the Propranol. I'll try the yoghurt for breakfast. Thanks for the advice. I'm usually ok in supermarkets except for the lights. I think it's because they're rarely busy. A Sainsburys opened near us recently and it's very quiet. We got our groceries delivered last winter. We live a bit off the beaten track, it lovely in the summer, but last winter we couldn't get the car out for two weeks. We'll have to get a sledge and huskies.
Hi Deb. I hope your headache has gone. I don't get headaches very often, but when I do the pain is just above my right eye, the bone feels sore. I had migraines when I was hyper, not much pain but I got auras. Not very nice.
I'm sure you'll be able to eat cakes again very soon. I'm eating them with no problems.
Your son would look grown up in his uniform. I can remember the day our son started secondary school. He looked so smart but so small when he got on the bus. It seems like yesterday yet he's married with a little girl now.
Hi Barry. I hope your heart is behaving itself. You would be scared. Let's hope it's just one of those things. Let us know what the doc says.
Take care everyone.

Just popped on here quickly before going to pick the boy up from Scouts!
Barry god you would have got a fright, I did get a few more noticeable heart races when I was really hypo I read that palpitations can be one of the symptoms of being hypo, since I've been on the Thyroxine I haven't had one for a while now, like you touch wood!
Sorry Deb I didn't suffer from headaches must be the only thing, ha ha! I hope it clears soon. My daughter started secondary school a few weeks ago, we go back earlier in Scotland, 4 weeks in and she loves it.
Bess was all geared up to go in Tesco today but chickened out  I had been on the computer all day trying to renew our home insurance and wasn't really in the mood, tomorrow is another day! Online shopping is the future ladies, once you've done it the first time its a doddle. Good luck with coming off the Propanolol I'm sure you will feel much better for it.
Jane hope you were ok at work today and you managed to get hold of your Endo?
Sue you should complain, like Marigold said keep your letter simple and only state the facts, like when and why you complained and to who if you can remember, you should send it to the company you booked with and also send a copy to the hotel. And like Bess said find the hotel on the Tripadvisor website and leave your review on there.
My lovely children have given me their back to school cold apart from that I'm doing not too bad.
Take Care,
Kat xxxx

I put a post on but it's disappeared, no joy with the endo who also wants at least 6 weeks between thyroxine increases because of my heart murmur so I'm going to have to lump it.
Barry, I've had palpitations this weekend after drinking ordinary coffee at my friends house so am well and truly back on the decaffe. Yours sounds much more significant and probably needs following up. Hope you're not hyper again.
Sue, I'm scratching now thinking about it, bless you just when you needed a rest which you obviously have not had.
Debs, hope you son had a good first day at big school.
Marigold, sorry you're not at your best because you were great only a few weeks ago, I just don't get it there seems no reason does there.
Bess, it just goes to show that quite a few of us have been groggy with propanolol, im glad that you've picked up quickly.
Love to all
Jane xx
