Hi

Hope you don't mind but thought I would start a new thread.

Tess the flowers sound great. That was very nice of your Dads friend. I planted sweat peas in the spring and I have managed to have a constant supply in my lounge since June.

Tess how is Claire?

Linda how are you? How is your Mum? How did your last CBT session go?

Lin are you going to join us here? Sorry to hear you didn't manage to get out shopping.

Tomorrow we take Alison to Birmingham. So today I plan to get all her washing done. Not really feeling up to it as these last few days all I have wanted to do is sleep.

Wishing you all a good weekend.

Lizzy

Hi Tess and anyone else out there!!!

Sorry you`re not so good, I`m not either, maybe its the winter blues! Having my thyroid done early too, next Tuesday and my blood pressure checked again as still not come down 165 over something but not sure what that means. I`m terrified the depression is coming back as apart from the tiredness and weight gain I`ve got that awful feeling for quite a lot of the time, when I feel as if something awful is about to happen, but don`t know what!

I had flu jab and swine flu jab last year and was fine and have had the double one this year and was fine as well, Ray was too.

Mum had hers last Thursday as Doc went into St. Eds and did them all, and saw her Fri and she was ok. Physio went to see her on Fri to try to get her to use a stick and it was so funny. She wasn`t having one of those under any circumstances!!!!

Chris bought a car yesterday, so expect I shall worry every time he goes out to start off with, I did with Ann but got used to it eventually.

Well, hope you start to feel better soon,

Hi Tess, Linda, Linnor and Jeff

Linnor how is your Mother In Law, I hope she is on the mend. I understand what you mean about needing another holiday, I quite often feel like that when we get home from a 2 week camping trip as theres always so much cleaning and sorting to do.

Jeff did your Mum have her Opp? How are you getting on with the new tablets have they begun to work yet. Have you been watching the Commonwealth Games? I won't mention the... knitting.

Linda I hope your Mum is well and have you been out for another carers relaxation day? Linda I know what you mean about worrying about our children driving, it does get better the longer they drive for. I still sometimes worry about my eldest daughter driving backwards and forwards to Birmingham most weekends.

Tess have you made your xmas cake yet? I have just given mine some more Brandy. I am begining to look forward to eating it xmas day. Is your kitchen all finnished now?

Tess Linda I have also had my thyroid function tested last week and I am waiting for my results, I think thats why I have been feeling pretty rough. Lots of aches and pains and hyperactivity. I am praying its not overactive again. If its not the thyroid then I am going to have to try some different coping techniques.

The counselling seems to be improving I was begining to wonder at one point if I was wasting my money.

Wishing you all a good week and take care.

    Hi Linda, Lizzy and Everyone!

Linda after what you said about having your flu injection and being ok think i am going to have mine on Saturday. Went for bloods today for iron and thyroid. Going back on Friday for my results. Linda Chris got a TA job at special school in Ely. He will be helping with 16 to 19 year old

leavers and helping them with applying for jobs etc. He can start once all his checks have been cleared. He went for the interview today and got a phone call this afternoon. So pleased he has got some teaching work!

Hope you are ok and also the rest of your family. It is always a worry when they first go out driving after passing their test. Chris hasn't got his car on the road yet but might do it now he has a full time teaching assistant job now. He will be getting the train at first and only takes about half hour. It costs about £8 return to Ely.

Lizzy know I haven't made an xmas cake yet! Still trying to get use to my gas oven still. Getting more confident with it now. Kitchen is coming on well and units arrive on Saturday. Still got quite a lot to finish off yet.

Missing going away in the van but we are too busy to go away at the moment. Need to go visit Andrew our son in Nottingham when we get time.

    Hope everyone is ok today.

    Hi Linoor & Everyone!

I bet you are really excited about new baby! Not long now for you! Does your daughter know whether it is boy or girl? My daughter Steph goes for her 20 wk scan next week and wants to know whether it is boy or girl. She has chosen Noah if a boy and Lilly or Poppy if a girl.

Its a good idea taking a photo of your swollen hands. I had to do that with my big toe as it and ankle as it kept going down whenever I managed to get appointment with gp. I hope you get on ok! Sorry to hear you had a urine infection and glad you are on the mend now.

I hope you find out what it going on with your mother-in-law and she is better soon.

Got my blood results today and iron levels normal and thyroid levels seem ok. One result wasn't there but should be ok. Dr has given me some diclofenac for my pain. Have to make sure taking my omerazopole tabs at the same time to stop them irritating my stomach.

See how I go and go back tomorrow.

    Take care everyone!

    Hi Eveyone,

Linnor I hope all goes well at your appt. thats a really good idea with the photos. I hope it shows the swelling. I was supose to have a skin biopsy on a rash on my hand to see if it was discoid lupus. Had the rash for 4 months and 2 weeks before my appt. it completely went. So nothing to take. I do hope your mother in-law gets well quickly. I do hope that your urine infections clear up properly its awful when they linger. It must be exciting to become a grandma.

Linda hope life is treating you and Ray well.

Tess hope all went well with your flu injection. Well all being well you will be straight ready for xmas.

Blood results all came back normal which is good. Had a reply from my complaint at the hospital four pages of A4. It didn't make good reading and it left me really depressed yesterday. Today I am very very cross. Goodness knows how I will feel tomorrow.

Wishing you all a good pain free week.

    Hi everyone,

Lizzy I go through mixed emotions just like that when something happens!! I can be really cross, then upset and then think well it must have been all my fault and worry that I`ve made a complete idiot of myself! lol

It seems to me that all blood tests come back normal in fibro, I think they only keep doing them to cover themselves in case there`s a problem afterwards! Maybe to re-assure us that nothing else is going on. I don`t know about everyone else but I think if I got a blood test saying that this or that was up or down, I would stop thinking I was imagining it all and feel that I had a \"real\" illness.

Chris has got his car and is proud of it, just driving around locally until he is really sure of himself. It was good that he passed first time but also means it`s only 4 months since he first got behind the wheel, so is good that he being sensible.

Ann has had to change GP cause of moving house but is quite impressed with the practice she has chosen, so thats good too. With her having so many health issues she needs somewhere that she can trust and feel comfortable with.

Well back to docs tomorrow to discuss blood pressure, test results and omeprazole. So watch this space!

Have a good day, don`t work too hard on the kitchen Tess!

    Hi Lizy, Linda & Everyone!

Well I hope you are feeling a bit better now Lizy after the letter you got from the hospital. My daughter Claire complained about when she was in hospital. She got a reply where they turned everything that she was not happy with back on to Claire. She was annoyed and upset when she received her letter. I have felt the same when I have complained when I went to Addenbrookes hospital for my cancer treatment. There was an excuse why something hadn't been done in response to my questions.

Linda i hope you got on ok at the doctors the other day! I hope you blood pressure was ok and your results. It is good Chris is being sensible with his driving. My Chris has now started his job and goes on the train everyday to Ely. He wants to put his car on the road at the start of November and will definately need some driving time before he sets off on his own. He hasn't driven since he went to Uni for three years. So will be like just passing his test again. He is enjoying his teacher training job with the special needs students. He was doing car maintenance with them yesterday and learning something himself. He has got next week off as it is half term. So only doing four days this week.

Well found out yesterday we are going to have another granddaugther in March. Steph is calling her Poppy. One day we will have a grandson lol!

I didn't mind at all as long as everything is ok. I thought the way Steph looked and carrying her bump all at the front it was going to be a girl. Thats what I was like with my girls. She is now 20 weeks and half way there lol.

Think I have been alright with the flu injection but sometimes hard to tell with having fibro. My pains have been worse with this cold weather. Haven't started taking my anti inflammatory tabs for pain yet as got to fit them around taking my other meds. Also got to fit in the acid reflux tabs as well.

Kitchen is coming along nicely now. Got laminate flooring down and some of the Wall Units up. All the walls have been painted in the kitchen and the ceiling. Stewart has just gone back on shift now so not much doing until next Monday now. I am having a quiet day today with both Stewart and Chris at work. Haven't had a day to myself for quite a while. Looked after Sophie all day yesterday and was really tired last night. Got Sophie and Molly for an hour Thursday evening as Molly's Parent Evening. Got Molly all day Friday as she is off as the teachers have a training day and then half term next week. Amy, Andrew and the girls are going away with some friends in a caravan for a few days next week to Skegness to the beach.

Well got to go now and do some sorting out in the kitchen where the dust has all settled when Stewart has been working.

    Take care.

    Hi Everyone

hope everyone is feeling ok well as good as we can be.

Well what a couple of weeks i have had!

DWP have stoppped my ESA said I am fit for work scored only 6 points because i am unable to walk more than 200 metres. Cant walk 20 without stopping with fatigue and pain. Explained all this to nurse at assassment she totally ignored EVERYTHING it also said i dont visit the pub due to continence difficulties what a joke been tea total for 20 years not been in a pub for over 15 years!!!!!!

So only my wifes wages now and no help because she works full time.

Neurologist is referring me to a pain management clinic GP was going to do it but Neurologist is taking the lead.

Tabs going ok got me on Tramadol, Amitriptyline, Fluoxetine and mebeverine.

Looks as though work is going to finish me up, they met with me last week and could not give me any reasonable adjustments. Total mess the Occ health have not been passing reports on me to HR and general manager did not advise manager interviewing me that OH have been talking to him. So the meeting was adjourned while they sort their mess out. made a point that no contact from anyone in company in over 14 months so not a good time

Mum is still waiting to go in for operation, wifes bloods come back clear although she is still suffering with back if no improvement in the next month she is going to ask for an xray.

Didn't watch commonwealth games not like me!

    well see you all soon

    Hi Everyone!

Jeff what a bad couple of weeks you have had. Why do you always not listened to and get penalised because your wife is working full time. You need the help and money. If your wife wasn't working and you were claiming benefits I bet they would give you the help then. It is always the people that really need it and do work don't get the benefits they deserve because of the ones who cheat the system. I have a brother like that who could work and doesn't and seems to cheat the system somehow. Although they have finally caught up with him and he has had his benefits reduced.

I think you wife should go back and see about xray for her back if it hasn't settled down in a couple of weeks. At least they will be able to see what is going on.

It seems a long while now your mum has been waiting for her operation. I do hope she gets it soon.

I take meberverine like you! How do you get on with it? I have to take three tabs a day and 20 minutes before meals. Sometimes forget and make my dinner and to late to take a tablet. I hope when you get to the pain management clinic they can sort something out for you. I have never been referred to the pain clinic. I have just got some diclofenac a mild anti-inflammatory tab to help with my pain.

How are your two dogs now!

Hope everyone else is doing ok today!

    Tess

Why can't the people at your work place do their jobs properly. No one seems to talk to each other any more and inform another department what is going on. I do hope everything works out ok for you. You don't need the extra stress and worry.

    Hi all,

Well, not had a good week really sad Saw GP about new blood pressure meds and although he didn`t really think my symptoms were due to that he said stop them for two weeks and then start them again to see what happens. Then let him know. At the moment still feel just as bad so looks like the problem lies somewhere else! Not a happy bunny as everytime I get close to getting the house straight I feel awful again and get behind.

Been to Mum`s twice this week as well which doesn`t help the exhaustion. Had a call from PDH asking me to take her to the eye clinic this morning, yes I know it`s Saturday!!! She has significant cateracts in both eyes not just the right like the optician said, no wonder she can`t see and has had two bad falls. So they will operate on the right one within 4 weeks and when she has recovered they will do the left. So it looks like I`m going to be going twice a week for some weeks to come.

Tess glad the kitchen is coming on nicely, its good that Stewert can do a lot himself, are you hoping to have it finished for Christmas? Bet you enjoyed having sophie on Friday, even if it was tiring!

Lizzy any news on the jobs/benefit front yet, it seems for ever you`ve been waiting for something to come up?

Well going to drop Chris at a friends wedding celebrations now, he`s not driving in case he has a drink. Then will chill with X Factor!

    Take care, Linda

    Hi Linda & Everyone!

Linda know wonder your mum has been falling over! I hope she gets on ok when she has her ops. Things seem to settle down and then you have to start all over again with all the travelling. Know wonder you are not feeling very well.

Yes Linda hope to have it done well before them. I suppose with stu's shifts would like it done before end of November. Who is your favourite one in X Factor. My favourite is Matt Cardle.

Well when will it all end! Still got problems with Dad's ashes. My brother David has said Malcolm could scatter some ashes without asking the rest of the family. My eldest sister and I feel he shouldn't scatter any. When i spoke to my brother and said we would like some of our own he put the phone down on me. Its been two weeks since they collected them and we do not know if they have scattered some or all of them. Going to have to ring him this week if he will let me speak. Everytime I ring and he puts the phone down on me I start to shake and cry with frustration.

    Sorry about the rant!

    Hope everyone else is ok.

Oh Tess, Can`t families be cruel! My Mum always used to say you can choose your friends but you can`t choose your family. You must feel like you can`t mourn your Dad properly what with the problem of the money and now the ashes, now wonder you get so upset. Sending you a big hug.

I also like Matt in the X Factor, but what on earth is Wagner still doing there??? Ann says she hates to admit it because she doesn`t like Cher but she is actually quite a good performer! Chris just thinks we`re mad watching it every week. Lol He has just left to go to Alton Towers with a friend today but his friend is driving! Not confident enough yet to tackle out of town trips.

Well feeling better yesterday and this morning so just trying to get tidy and up to date with things like washing etc, then can try to get into a routine again. Lol I think that is just a dream and I need to try and accept it, but not ready to do that yet sad

Hope everyone else is doing ok

Well, must go can hear Ray getting up, talk soon, Linda

    Hi Linda

Thank you for the big hug could do with it right now! Spoke to my other sister today and she said that they had decided her and my brother David they were going to wait now until 14th November remembrance day to scatter dad's ashes. I am going to make a difficult phone call tomorrow to my brother David and ask him for some ashes for myself and Christine to scatter together on our own with our families. Don't think it will go down to well but will have to try and do something soon.

I am like you thought Wagner should have gone on Saturday. Can't see why people are keeping him in. My son's friends Diva Fever went the other week and they were better than Wagner. I think it they had a better song they would have survived another week. Don't think they would have won it as there are a lot of good singers this year.

Well went shopping to B and Q this afternoon and came back with our worktops, knobs for the cupboards and a new stainless steel sink. Must have been in there for about a couple of hours. They didn't have the one I wanted but got another one just as nice. Had to take the motorhome to bring worktops back in. Was going to help Stewart lift them in the van when a kind man came to help.

Well got to go now! I hope everyone else is doing ok today and keeping warm lol!

    Hi Everyone,

I hope that life hasn't been treating you too badly.

Jeff I'm so sorry to hear about your job problems and the fact that you are not getting the support from the benefit system. I hope your wifes back gets better quickly.

Linda that sounds like good news for your mum hopefully it will help to stop the falls when she can see better. My mother in law is having her eyes done next month. Linda I do hope you begin to feel better soon.

Tess I'm so sorry to hear about the problems with the scattering of your Dads ashes. I also send you a gentle hug. It sounds like your kitchen is coming along well.

Some good new Alan has another interview next week. I do hope he gets a job soon as we are finding it really difficult to make ends meet.

Wishing you all a good day tomorrow.
