    Hi Michelle,

I am 43 and I just started feeling burning sensations all over my body,Tingling,Trembling,Internal shaking and Electric Shock Feelings. I also have insomnia, night sweats, rapid heart beat and I wake up during the night with the trembling and shaking feelings.I have been getting tested and the Dr.s have ruled out a lot of other things already. I even went to a neurologists because I was in a car accident which caused whiplash and was afraid of it being nerve damage but it's not. I am pretty confident that what you are experiencing is perimenopause symptoms which I am experiencing too as well. I was about to run to the Dr.s again thinking there missing something and my gyn said I was already in the perimenopause stage

Did you ever feel warming burning sensations going down your arms, chest and head? With rapid heart beat but feeling faint and dizzy getting out of bed in the morning? It's the most scary thing in the world!!! Does premenopause cause this? Please help...I have been to the hospital several times and they say nothing is wrong that i am healthy as a horse.

Hi Shana. I have all these symptoms and plenty more. I take a handful of supplements before bed. Gaba, melatonin, fennel, 5htp, passion flower Valeria root and CBD oil. I wash it down with a cup of thyro sense tea or mighty night tea. If I wake up in the night shaking vibrating panicking racing heart, I remind myself that this is hormones and I think relax, and I try to take my mind to a nice place, maybe to the beach with the sun shinning, moms apple pie, whatever makes you feel good inside. If your mind goes back to panic bring it back to the beach

Hi everyone. I had my uterus removed in Dec. 2008. I am still doing a very lingering menopause. I reported on here about the tremors but in the Fibromyalgia section. I was diagnosed with fibro years ago. It brings with it body aches, fatigue, anxiety, hot and cold feeling, the weird internal shakes, etc....so has anyone been tested by a rheumatologist to see if they have fibro? It makes it a lot less stressful knowing I have that along with menopause cause I know I am not going crazy! Please give that a thought. Fibro is cause by the Epstein Barr Virus and contracted when we were young after being exposed to mononeucleosis or if you actually were diagnosed with mono like I was when I was 14. Most people probably did not get a blood test to test for mono and they just had recurring colds, tonsiitis, bronchitis that seemed to linger and make you tired. The Epstein Virus hides in your body and can come out years later and present itself as fibromyalgia for one thing. There is no cure for fibro but you can keep it under control by exercising, eating right, watching your sugar and wheat intake especially. I did no flour no sugar and lost 30 pounds. Only good fats and good carbs. Low carbs. I felt so good when I was doing that way of eating and lost all that weight. It is a good way to eat anyway. So dont always blame menopause and your hormones for these symptoms. Remember a rheumatologist is the one that does the testing for Fibro. And read The Medical Medium by Anthony Michael. He has other books now as well and explains the connection for Fibro, Thyroid, Epstein Barr etc... Anxiety and depression comes with fibro and menopause. I wish you all good health.

    Hi Michelle

Internal tremors, body twitching from feet to neck and a host of other symptoms over the past four years to present.

Im still trying to muster up the courage to go and see a neurologist.

A hell of a lot of women seem to experience the internal tremors though.

      Hey Gwenn,

I am 42 and have the same symptoms you have. I've had them for over a year now. The internal vibrations have simmered down now but I still get the muscle twitching and a host of other symptoms. I don't know but I just try to take it one day at a time!

It's horrible isn't it. It spikes my anxiety which I am sure makes it worse. Im hoping my anxiety meltdown combined with menopause triggered it and it's not anything more sinister.

Im trying to do the same, take one day at a time.

Honestly, hearing from other women helps a lot, so thanks for your post. X

My twitching started after my very first experience with anxiety meltdown so i think it was definitely a trigger. This forum has made me feel less anxious.

I had what you describe. Four months after having surgery on my toe, I noticed i had internal vibrating...mostly upper body and you could not visibly see the shaking on the outside. Looking back now i believe i was imbalanced hormonally even though i was not in perimenopause at that time .

my shakes lasted years and medicines made everything worse, especially made me exhausted.

so i quit meds and started eating a little better. they lasted a good three years but never was as bad as the first year.

M vibrating only happened when lying down. Day or night, and if i turned from one sidw to the other, the vibrations shifted too .

One thing besides cutting out all meds and eating healthier that may have helped them go completely away, was keeping my teeth apart. When teeth chattered it gave me anxiety, more anxiety so i kept my teeth from touching and that helped me relax.

hard to type on iphone sorry i got the internal tremor 4 WEEKS after toe surgery, not four months. Also, i was 36 years old at that time. When the tremor finally left (it was gradual), I started then getting nocturnal panic attacks and a few other symptoms that lasted about 6 months so maybe mine was perimenopause even though that would be early.

Once all the symptoms subsided I did not have anything again like that. I still get teeth chatter when anxious.

I'm in perimenopause now, 52 yrs old and used to strange feelings coming and going, but that internal thing was rough, glad its gone.

GOODLUCK, I HOPE YOURS IS GONE NOW TOO!

Hi Michelle, how are you now? I don't see any recent posts and wondered how everyone is doing. I just joined because I googled the very scary internal vibrations/shaking/tremors/trembling that I have been getting for a solid month now. ALL tests were done at the Docs, they find nothing. I am 55 and had my last period 5 years ago, so not perimenopause ....I also get all the sensory symptoms as well. I am so tired of looking at health care professionals who look back at you like you are nuts. I KNOW what I am feeling.
