Pip assement two weeks ago and haven't heard a thing ,

The home visit was fine very sympathetic and she didn't make my son stay for visit he went back to his room once she introduced herself as she knew he was very nervous, it lasted about an hour and honestly it was fine x

I have a mobility car at the minute . There are no bus routes where I live so I'm frightened they will take my car

?Not having a local bus route is not a reason to be awarded Enhanced Mobility - you would be expected to get a taxi or get a friend to drive you.

?I am in the same boat with public transport and lost all of my DLA - High Mobility & Middle Care, on the transfer to PIP.

?Thankfully I had the foresight to send my Motability car back just after PIP came out in 2013 and bought my own.

?Mind you it's a struggle to put fuel in it, pay the insurance & tax etc.

?That is something that you should be grateful for - not all home visits are like that - mine was straight out of the Nazi regime of the second world war!!

I know its not easy when waiting for something so life changing to not get at least a little bit anxious, but to be honest its like asking how longs a piece of string, no one knows, u can only take a rough guess going on your assessment dates and that its a new claim, did u send in plenty of backup paperwork from consultants etc

I did a good long answer and its vanished

If they say no a least I would have an answer

But I pray it will be yes

Guess what the said again call back at end of week phew

I am not sleeping well with the pain and everything is just getting to me xxx

Thought I would give an update

I called pip dept today

And they said decision had been made this morning and a letter had gone out to me 2nd class she checked and double checked but could not give info because decision details had not been uploaded on system

I requested a call back but she said they could probably give details tomorrow after 24hrs because they go in a pile to be uploaded and they can then go through each step of details with me so scared now dare not ring back incase it's bad news

I had docs appointment today at 2.30 and while in there is missed a call from them but called just now and they can't see who called or why

Because my claim was taking so long due to it being lost in system they new I had been having problems

Just wondering why they called though would it gave been case worker updating me not realising I had already called today

So just asking has anyone ever been called with a decision xx

Any ideas would be good xx

Hi Sharon, try to stay calm, no matter how upset you get the letter has already been sent so you just have to wait and see what it says and I'm keeping fingers crossed it will be an answer you need.

My letter was sent on a Friday and arrived on the following Thursday, I couldn't get an answer till it was deemed to be received on the Wednesday, so if yours was sent today then you could probably get a verbal answer Thursday.

I have not been too good

Not sleeping muscles twitching

But the pain is the worse in back knees

I feel like and am getting worse at the moment

My knees keep locking and giving way

But you know how it is I think we all do on here

Alexandria I have been referred back to pain team but it takes months here in Burnley to come through

Last time I was referred I was always really not too good to go but I will try again

Feel alone

Went too the docs today and I just felt like he did not understand at all

I may pay and see a specialist

My mum offered to pay for me

There are some in Manchester

I feel like my life is over

Sorry to moan but sometimes we are just up against brick wall especially with doctors because I just don't think they understand sometimes

Yea eventually sorted car by going to Motability who gave me s list of 2 cars that were suitable for me, I fancied a sweet little car but couldn't get in it and no room for wheelchair, and have to have electric seat to enable me to get in and out so have gone for Volvo, hope it want be too bad on diesel.

Sorry your feeling so rough, not sleeping doesn't help, I can vouch for that, have found soft pillow under knees if you sleep on back or between knees if on side.

Got pip at long last been awarded higher rate but lower mobility

God I am an please cannot tell you how much

At the moment I have this until 2019

They said they will back date until Jan 2016

Can't believe it so please

Phew feel like a load off my shoulders

Sharon, you don't know how pleased I am for you, but go steady girl you will wear yourself out LOL bet there's been some tears as well its the joy of knowing your quality of life will improve 10 fold, I cried in bursts after hearing the news for the first week, mind I'm still using wheelchair taxis at silly money till car arrives, hospital today.

So so pleased I cried over the phone

You would think I would have won lottery

Because that's what pip is after reading people who get refused

I know it's standard rates but that's good because

I am not in a wheelchair like you

Also they need your keep higher rates for people like you who are struggling so much more with living a proper life

Would have done a back flip but would have been in hospital for the rest of my life lol

Yes keep in touch because we can calm others whilst waiting a decision xx
