Hi Kim. You sound like me. I am 64 and post menopausal. I've been going through the exact same thing as you. It started last June 2021. A bunch of things happened that I suppose made me anxious. That being said, I do not think I have anxiety like all the specialists are saying. Have you had anyone tell you you have anxiety? I've brought up the hormonal thing and post menopause and none of the docs want to go down that road. I've lost a lot of weight, have insomnia, dizzy as a bat all day, nausea, having issues breathing through my nose (theres nothing in my nose to clog it up), jittery where my hands shake, legs and arms are weak, the list goes on. I know I'm not helping you but just to let you know you are not alone. I recently gave in and am now on anti depressants. I am on day 3 and I tell you the side effects are so intense. I thought I was dizzy before! Ha! I can't even drive my car now. They say to give it a couple of weeks. I don't know about that! Anyhow, if you ask your doctor to check your hormones with a blood test that would help to see where you are at. Mine won't do it. I may go private and pay to get it done. Not sure what it will get me but it'll show me my levels. Good luck and try not to go down the meds rabbit hole.

hi, hun
I See a GI doctor on the 17 in the mean time what do I do about it.

If you look it up you can see if it describes what you are feeling. Im not a dr. so don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. I have diverticulosis. When this is inflamed it's called diverticulitis. I only mentioned it because I have it. It affects the left side. Have to watch out what you eat so it/they don't become inflamed.

Hello Ladies,
I have been on this crazy menopause ride since 2009. I have not had a period in 10 years. I personally can say post menopause is as bad for me as the symptoms were in the beginning and I have had every symptom on the list and some that are not on the list, I have just learned to cope as this is my new normal. I always thought once my periods stopped things would improve, not the case for me. I had an older lady tell me that you are forever post menopause, it does not go away because your hormones are never going to go back the way they were when you were younger. This has been some journey and one that is not over yet.
GOD Bless

Hey Kim...
Regarding menopause, shortness of breath is one of the many countless symptoms of this tsunami! It is scary and many times, relentless! I have it frequently; it has become a part of my life, unfortunately.

hi Kim,
i thought i was post menopause 2 years ago, but just got excruciating terrible cramps and a heavy bleed so i have no idea now. i admit i doubled my estrogen patch against doctor recomendation. wanted to see if more estrogen was better. it wasnt. I had problems with appetite off and on and lost way too much weight last year. im so sorry you suffer this awful thing, i hope you feel well eventually!!! its not fair some of us women have such hell and others have no symptoms!?!?

hi Kim-
I understand everything you go thru. I got very skinny last year but able to gain some back. menopause is very hard on body, and some of us lose so much weight from the huge stress/insomnia/bowel problems and feeling SO sick and awful each day. I hope husband understands your health problems, because menopause is NOT your fault. menopause hurt us and none of us planned to have our lives get so messed up. do you eat fresh vegetables ever? even a little bit can help some women loosen bowels , help constipation. Lord bless us here, because menopause is extremely difficult. hoping you can find a little peace today.

kim I meant to add to my post that I have LOUD ringing in my ears too. 24/7. Loud ringing that never stops. I read its due to estrogen changing. And i get the thing with crying so much. I have weeks at a time of crying all day long, every day!!. i agree hormones take sooooo long to settle down. Seems it'll never happen. pure hell. pure exhaustion. we are very strong people to be managing such endless menopause hell. the ladies here totally relate to all we suffer.
