Premique Low Dose - Not in stock anywhere?

After many years on Premique Low Dose, I now find it is not in stock at any Chemists. Is anyone else having the same problem? If so, is there a similar HRT I can change to?

I was on Premique then couldn't get it, they put me on femistone, do not go on that! I fell to bits on it, 1st my ears kept popping, then my back went , then really bad hair loss and finally I had severe water retention, called the dr to see if was femiston, he told me go on indiva as it's the closest one to premique, only been on it since Friday, , I'm not entirely sure about it, as seem to still be getting water retention and still aching.. all those above I didn't really click it was the hormone change , but dr said it was quite different to premique.. I spoke to my friend who nearly lost all her hair on Femiston so just be careful.. she said to try get a coil and a tablet as they are supposed to be more natural , going to ask dr tomorrow if I can have it as , can't risk losing any more hair

I had to try other HRT when they stopped making Premique, and it wasn't so good. But the low dose Premique is available again now, and I've been taking it since February and I'm back to normal. Go to your doctor and get a prescription for Premique- your pharmacist can order it now, even if they don't have it in stock.

No they don't. Went to 5 chemists in and around Hertfordshire last week and each told me the same story. Premique is not being made again and they cannot order it. Rang my doctors surgery to change the prescription. Doctor rang me back and she said she has been officially told not to prescribe it now! Where in the country are you - think I might have to move!! Sharon I can assure you that Premique low dose most certainly IS back in production, haing spoken myself to the manufacturers, Pfizer. They moved where it was being made, which was why it wasn't available for a while. Only the 'high dose' Premique has been discontinued, unfortunately some GPs and some pharmacies don't seem to be aware of the two different strengths, and that the low dose is back in production again (since late February).

Yes, Trish, and stand your ground! If necessary tell them that you've called Pfizer yourself, and ask them to do so themselves if they don't believe you. It was only when my GP's prescription manager made the call at my request that they believed me and put the low dose back on my prescription. I'd been told by my GP and by the manager at my local Boots that it was no longer being made, both having mis-read or misunderstood what they'd been informed by Pfizer.

Zibby I've got them!!! 😂😂😂woop woop. Got 6 months worth! Also educated the doctor! Happiest I've been since last October. Found out each chemist has its own distributor not all can get it. So worth shopping around found great satisfaction walking into Boots and showing them my Premique, when last week they told me Pfizer not remaking it! So happy 😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

Are you sure you can get the low dose one as my chemist can't get hold of it and I'm in Derbyshire

Yes, I'm absolutely 100% certain that Premique LD is available. Please see the thread I started "Premique low dose - pharmacies which CAN supply it" which explains why your chemist may not be able to help, and what to do instead.
