    Hi Alan,

I'm sorry I can't give you any advice because I'm having the same issues. If you find ANY answers please pass it on to me. I'm waiting on a MRI. If anyone can help Alan please pass it on to me.

I'm having pain on the right back side of my head and it goes to the front just on the right side. Loud noises and sometimes light would bring on the pain. ENT just cleared my ear and sinus infestion.  Taking all advise.

Do symptoms worsen when you lean forward or bend down?

Yes also when I wake up and get up too fast it hurts.

Mri would be a good start, your head rests on what is called an executioner bone like a bobble head on a spring, it allows you to move your head to the left, right, forward, backwards and down. If there is a neck injury, usually when a disk is misaligned, especially around the executioner area, it will cause fluid buildup in the neck and head, and cause that affected vertebrate to impinge on a nerve causing immediate sharp intolerable pain, like a shooting pain, it feels like a hot poker going up the neck to the back of the head and through the skull creating immense pressure along with the sharp pain, especially when looking straight down without moving your whole head, like if you held your neck straight and tilted your head forward touching your chin to the chest. I'm gonna bet a free car wash that you've done that already, and that it hurt so much that you'll do everything in your power to avoid doing that.

Try this... lay down on your bed on your back, just flat on your back... gathering you've got a pillow under your head, now lying straight down tilt your head down letting your chin touch your chest and hold it for a bit, if you feel the pressure in your neck building along with that sharp pain that goes to the front of your skull, and it's beating along with your heart, like literally feeling the heartbeat in the back right side of the neck, then it's a fluid obstruction caused by the nerve being pinched. Usually we feel this and can be almost compared to a water hose on full blast and it gets kinked shut, and you'll feel the fluid gathering and causing pressure. Most of the time accompanied by a whooshing sound and can hear your heartbeat. *Bonus part* If you hear what faintly sounds like sand in a straw, I'm going to bet that sound you are hearing is tiny bone fragments that are chipping away from damaged vertebrate.

Sounds like you have similar symptoms to me. I'm pretty sure mine is because of a blocked sphenoid sinus cavity. Have a look of the symptoms of isolated sphenoid sinusitus.

Hello adam ive had this pressure in the base of my skull which is the major issue for 6 months now and it is 24/7. no relief whatsoever i had head mri that was normal and blood test slightly elevated white blood cell count and protein in urine but nothing to worry about. 2 weeks after i got this pressure i had a sharp pain in the bottom of my right foot for a week or so making me limp but nothing since last 5 months just head pressure. i can feel my heartbeat more and it does pulsate in my head when im in bed but no sharp pains in my head just the pressure.

so ive only had head mri and blood tests and urine should i be pushing for other tests any advice from you would be brilliant.

Question: for those suffering same symptoms, when the pressure is present is it also hard to drink from a straw or any form of "sucking"? For instance I also smoke and when I do or drink from a straw it also causes more pressure and tends to hurt or feel uncomfortable. Just little things I've noticed

Does anyone else experience feeling faint or feeling like you're having heart palpitations? I've had chronic head pressure, fatigue, brain fog, and feeling faint or out of it for 2 years now. It all started one day at work sitting at my desk and never went away. Blood work, brain MRI, sinus CT scan, EEG, sleepy study and lumbar puncture all clear. Haven't seen an ENT or cardiologist yet. Currently trying Hydrochlorothiazide - but so far just makes me naseous and feels like I have to pop my ears constantly.

I've had all those besides palpitations, but feeling faint only when it's really hot for me

What tests have you had? Have you found anything that gives you relief?

Prior to my symptoms I battled with bad case of reoccurant tonsillitis. It's the only thing I can think of that might be related. Otherwise I was a pretty healthy and active 24 year old.

My GP referred me to a neurologist but I stopped seeing her for a while because I felt she wasn't listening to me and chalked my symptoms up to stress. Finally just found a new neurologist who believes something is actually wrong with me but I'm also about to move and lose insurance. The system is unkind.

But you're not alone, hang in there.

I've have a history of depression & anxiety as well as IBS.

I've tried going back on my old anxiety/depression meds but to no avail. I'm able to manage my anxiety with mediation and yoga/exercise. And while I have food intolerances, I haven't been able to pinpoint any triggers.

I have the exact same symptoms..I have battled with this for over 2.5 years. I had a faint head pressure and brain for stating back 2. 5 years and managed it pretty well with yoga and meditation and going vegan. Six months back my health plummeted. My forehead pressure was very intense and was driving me insane, I realized it was occurring right after my meals. I have done vast research and it can be anything from a mycotoxin mold infection, SIBO or an autonomic response of the gut and brain or just a physical symptom of anxiety. That being said, the only way out is to manage it. I use to be a full blown yogi and now I am considering anti anxiety med, and believe it until you find a fix leave the guilt out and find a fix. I can help a lot of people out of this. For me it gets out of control in public places for some reason, I believe any stress response can trigger it...lol it's insane isn't it.

I can take stress quite well and I don't think the stress was to the point that caused a break down. I guess I do get anxious at Times but definitely don't have anxiety attacks.

No gastric disturbances that I know of, is there something particular u could expand on this?

Look up Tachycardia aka: Dysautonomia might point you all in the right direction.

It's strange though, my nerve functioning is fine and I have no problem with cardio exercising or anything that gets my heart rate up. Plus I think my 48 hour EEG would've shown signs of any heart abnormalities.

So sorry you're dealing with this too! The dizziness is on occasion for me, but the head pressure is 24/7. I just started seeing a new neurologist who's interested in checking out my cervical spine. I will update if it leads to any findings.

Do you feel your symptoms are milder in the morning and gradually flare up throughout the day. You said you suffered from IBS. What kind was this ? C or D or A? I suffer from IBS C and my symptoms flare up right after eating. I believe it is the gut and brain connection for my case the pressure is mainly exactly in the forehead, it's almost like a knot being stretched inside, I also have buzzing or what is called as tinnitus. I also feel really out if it in public, which flares my anxiety levels. Do you also have the same thing going?

Gas is quite normal and not excessive. I do have a belly though I've only been feeling bloated recently and it was never the case before

Check if you feel the head pressure more when you are bloated.

My symptoms are milder in the morning and get worse throughout the day, typically peaking in the afternoon. However, my symptoms are there right when I wake up and are pretty consistent regardless of meals so I'm not convinced that it is related to my IBS. I have a mix of IBS A, B & C that I manage with probiotics, and avoiding trigger foods. I don't experience buzzing or tinnitus. Stress and anxiety definitely make my symptoms worse and I am a pretty introverted person so I do occasionally have trouble in public but nothing too severe.
