I get something like that. Mine is like a tingling pressure that moves above my nose and on my forehead.  It feels electirical. I take benadryl and that works. My body gets pressure too. I feel like I am going to implode. I am having an mri soon hope that helps. I also get snaps on my forehead too.

Hello all, I have the same symptoms as most of you in this thread. I feel pressure in my forehead and temple that is accompanied with brain fog and irritability. For me the pressure comes after I eat. Certain foods don't trigger the pressure but most foods do. So I believe it's a digestive problem.

I've had pressure in my head for a month now. Been to er they did ct scan and say eveeything is fine. They've done blood work everything comes back fine. I had an MRI done today and I don't think they find anything there either. When I went to er they told me it was anxiety and PTSD. I asked that is my head Injury was back in November last year and I work 6 months with no problem then a flip of a switch. Idk what to do I'm going crazy. I got no idea what to do cause I feel all these symptoms and they say anxiety but I'm not able to work cause its gotten so bad so idk.

Did they happen to check your sinus cavities? I had such sharp pains in my head that i thought I busted a blood vessal. But I believe it ws my inus, they gave me a zpak at the ER and the pressure reduced alot. My sinus was so infected that I busted my ear drum the doctorwas amazed I could still hear.  Just a thought, Ill keep you in my prayers

If your doctors cooperate with you then i would mention some of the following

      Lyme disease

      Chaira malformations

      Dysautonomia

      Acupuncture

      Neck MRI

      Back MRI

Blocked ostia in sphenoid sinus cavity causing pressure

There's plenty more that's just a start others will add to that list. My symptoms are pressure in base of skull 24/7. With a pulsating feeling near my chest area.

Hi guys I'm new to this site.I may have found the answer to these problems I was in a bad car accident in 2013 suffered whiplash concussion as well as fractured and herniated disc in my back. I had been experiencing head pressure feeling of full sinus and ears cluster headaches and pain at the base of my skull as well as mild imbalance and visual disturbances I had tried a number of treatments with no success until I found out about the sternocleidomastoid muscle I urge you to read up on the symptoms that can be created from the scm. I wouldn't say I'm cured but it is the most progress I've had in resolving thelse issues as time goes on I'm told it will get even better. Hope this helps

What was the visual symptoms like and what kind of treatment plan did u have for the scan?
    • Posted

The visual symptoms were hard to explain I would see tracers and image burn in like when you turn a TV screen off only for a few seconds but trouble tracking objects as well. As far as the treatment just a registered massage therapist trust me I know it sounds to good to be true but it's been the only thing working. I had to advocate for myself when I felt the medical system was failing me as much respect as I have for doctors they are paid to treat the symptoms not attack the cause. Try it you might be surprised what do you have to lose

Just read up on the sternocleidomastoid symptoms then phone any decent massage therapist as ask questions you'll be amazed

I have headaches like that too my whole life. I did have a brain scan done a while back and they found a normality but it was nothing serious at the time so they just label it as stress. I do have heart normality too but they have always said it is nothing serious.

    In the past month

I did have a CAT scan done and it showed nothing but I do know it is different from a brain scan. They found my hobgoblin was higher than usual but they do not know why. I have ruled out that it is not polycythemia. Also sometimes I cannot move my extremities. I am also seeing a neurologist hoping maybe he can tell me what is going on. I have also notice when I am sitting, standing, or not laying almost completely flat I cannot sleep. I also think it prevents me from passing out because there are times I sere I am going to pass out but at most my extremities are not able to move and I fall but do not lose consciousness. That’s just my experience but I really do not know what yours but if you have any advice let me know.

I just started having these pressure headaches idk what to call them it's the 7th day it's not even that painful, but it scares me I just want to be able to relax I have 2 kids and 1 on the way and I'm so scared I won't be here to see them grow up, I went to the er and they said it's probably anxiety or a change in diet.. But it still scares me I'm only 23 and my family is my everything... I have a doc appointment on Monday I just hope it's not life threatening... And they can do something for it, cause I don't even want to do anything cause it bothers me so much. Idk I can't stop thinking about it I feel like I'm going crazy I'll be happy trying to play with my kids or when they make me laugh then I'll realize I still have this pressure and I start crying...

About a month ago I was going to play a game while my kids were sleeping and I could see but it felt like the bottom part of my vision was blurry but I was fine after I layed down for 10 mins, then 7 days ago I got a headache in my forehead took Advil, didn't go away later on I just went to bed and the problem persisted but it goes to the top of my head sometimes or my temples behind my ears and the back of my head it's like just a constant pressure that won't go away, lately it's been in the back of my head but as I'm laying on my bed on my back it's more on my temples the pressure is , my neck just started hurting yesterday idk if it's cause of my head ache or cause I layed in bed all day with a pillow on my neck instead of my head cause I didn't want more pressure on my head, but also laying on my back with the pillow on my head kinda hurts but if I touch my head it doesn't hurt, I was feeling nauseous the 3rd day that went away, but I have no appetite But my stomach hurts so I'll get something to eat, sorry about rambling on I kinda want someone to talk to also..

I got kinda same symptoms. I got a 4 year old son and 7 year old daughter I'm Africa I'm not gonna get to see them grow up. I'm constantly thinking about it. They told me it's anxiety and ptsd. I don't believe that is what it is. Mine has been going on for a month now. With my right side going numb. But er says it's all symptoms of ptsd becAuse I can still move my arm and let. They've done ct scan and they don't find anything. My doctor had mri done and he is send it to a neurologist to look at it. All you can do is pray to God and let him have it.

I guess... But I have to be here I have to.. I grew up without a dad and I won't let mine do the same.... Is there anything that you know of that helps with the pressure?

Don't worry yourself sick it may just be anxiety but when you focus too hard on the symptoms you can in fact create them what I mean is if you have a minor ache the more you dwell and worry about it it creates more tension in your neck that contributes to further pain. Relax you'll be ok

Thank you, I'm happy I found you guys I was giving up hope.. I feel better and I think I know what you mean.. The first thing I do when I wake up is think to my self is it there?? It usualy isn't right away but 10 mins later it is.

You will be here just breathe. Check out the symptoms of the sternocleidomastoid muscle in the neck. It may not be a cureal all be it's a start

    • Posted

Also could be tension headache. See a chiropractor or get a good massage. If it ends up like mine because that's how mine started it could end in sinus infection

    • Posted

How long was it going on for untill you got it fixed? Or take care of.
    • Posted

Just Google symptoms of sternocleidomastoid then read all about the trouble that muscle can cause. After that I would call a registered massage therapist and inquire about it hey will help you

Almost 3 years until we found the problem in that muscle it's getting better. But you have to keep going it's not a 1 time deal. I had headaches that would move around my head visual problems balance as well pressure at the base of the skull over my forehead as well.

I would also make sure you are getting enough magnesium

Had a doctor tell me your mind is a powerful thing you can actually trick it into thinking your having problems. He said when he was in med school he said they was studying hearts and he said everyday he swore up and down he was having a heart attack he said so don't web md and don't stress on it he said worse you can do

Try not to think about it. Mine is constant. I had a real bad head injury in Nov 2015. Fractured skull real bad brusing and bleeding of brain concussion I don't remember nothing for two days just what my wife tells me

I 100% agree with that there is good research on the net to find and if you you find it may apply to you you should consult with a professional to make sure.if I Google a pain in my toe I bet I'll have cancer. There are a lot of sites that almost promote fear and self diagnosis. I found mine through a lot of trial and error through actual therapies suggested by my GP. There's nothing wrong with being curious about your ailments but don't let it get the best of you. Power of positive thinking is the real deal

Ok, thank you guys so much again for everything, I'm going to head to bed and try to relax and calm down, I'll msg tomorrow hopefully I'll feel better thanks again!

And remember if you don't feel 100% it's ok don't over think it. If the er thought it was serious they wouldn't let you go.

I know but it's just scary, I went to my doc appt yesterday he said he doesn't think it's a tumor my blood pressure was alittle high but not that much, he thinks it's that I'm supose t check my blood pressure twice a day and right it down, it's just crazy cause this is the 9th day I've had this pressure and it won't go away, I mean I feel better then what I did, I can do what then just think about it but sometimes I'll be doing something and I can still feel the pressure so I keep thinking everything's goIng to be ok but it the back of my head in thinking super negative and it sucks I just want this to go away so I can feel normal and not have to worry about everything....

How high was your BP? My doctor did the same thing for me,I had to keep track for a month then ended up on BP meds anyways. The pressure in my head went away, but for a month I had to suffer with it.  But the BP meds did help out in the end.

10 days of misdiagnosis and 10 days after meds. 20 days total of misery lol
