its probably Anxiety, anxiety can cause countless sypmtoms like for example: vision problems , dizziness, feelin of suffocation, feeling like your having an emergency like heart attack, this is inherited from when humans lived in Africa on the steeps and had to face with lions and other dangerous animals, but when anxiety is caused by irrational fear that is not there then it can be cured by facing what ever is causing the anxiety you need to find out what (if it is anxiety which it probably is) is causing your body responses. Also you can try taking Anxiety medications from your doctor however this could actually be serious but you should not rule out the possibility it is anxiety.

one more point to add is that Anxiety is NEVER dangerous, it can not harm you so if you have anxiety you can breath slower, even if you feel like you are suffocating, or have stings in your chest, vision problems like blurred vision etc..  so if what you have is anxiety then it is not dangerous at all however i know anxiety can be really annoying.

Hi, I have had this for over 4 years....getting gradually better....To the point now where I am mostly pain free (most days ) and dont think about it.

It started very bad.... dizzy etc then huge head pressure (constant during day, every day for about 3 years, it messes every part of you, stomach, muscles eyes ringing in ears etc).

I put it all down to stress, had a major panic attack... 1st ever, then felt dizzy, then that brought on googling every symptom... not good, definitely made it worse as you don't let your mind rest. Had tonnes of tests done(I've had numerous CAT, MRI, etc... seen Chinese healers, chiro, physio, the works....

, tested positive for lymes, though not currently in my system according to tests (have the antibodies for it now).

Feel normal most of the time and it is constantly improving though over a long time.

Things that helped after you've been to the docs and they cant find anything.

      1. running - go on long runs / fast walks as often as you can.

      2. stop googleing / thinking about it... .that makes it worse (i know if your in pain its difficult, though do something else to confuse your body.... Run / swim / spend time with friends and family... watch comedies)

      3. read an anxiety book... Dare or at last a life.

      4. sleep, eat and drink like a monk.

      5. stretch and move lots... Yoga helps, look  also at health through posture.

      6. give meditation a go Calm are offering an 8 month free trial ( i believe), or headspace etc. It works.

      7. stand/sit properly

      8. lessen screen time.

      7. be positive.

All these forums are full of people with problems, not many offer a way out /  solution, as soon as they feel better then they log

All I can say is follow these tips and see if it makes a difference over a few months.... It's worth a shot to you if you are in the same position as I was.

      Good luck and take care.

If they have a rapid onset, excruciating and are unilateral you probably have cluster headaches.

I recommend googling the symptoms and see if they match yours. It may save you a lot of money and a lot of tests.

    Greetings alan,

My wife has these same symtoms as you described and it has been hell for her.  She cannot sleep with drugs - and has pressure in her head all the time...

Have you found any solution, book, etc.?  I am looking at Naturopathic remedies as we are already strict vegetarians - but that will mean - NO boxed food, no canned food, no ready made chesse, etc. etc. -  so it will be a little difficult...

Let me know if you have found anything that works?

    Thank you very much.

I cannot believe I am reading all about the symptons I have had for 10 years.  No pain, but intense pressure in and around my brain....like someone has pumped air into my head....I have had a CT Scan and just had a 2nd MRI this week.  The last was 2 years ago, after blacking out for only seconds in a swimming pool.  I have had years go by with hardly any symptons...maybe 3 o4 a year.....then some years 2 or 3 a month.....this year I have had several a week.......plus an episode that mimiced a

mini stroke.....loss of speech and dizziness for 15 minutes or so.  I believe now after

reading all of these comments that this is related to a pinching of the nerve in the area

just below the scull and in the neck....this makes so much sense to me.  I have no

real anxiety related to this.....no allergies.....no pain......I will now look up "cervicogenic headache".......as I think this is getting closer to the solution.....I feel the pressure start in my upper neck in those arteries and then flows through out my head and brain.  Again, no pain.....and since it has not gotten worse and changes yearly, I do think it is related to a disc, and pinced nerve.......possibly caused by tension or stress like any other disc/back related nerve damage........

    Just thinking.........makes the most sense.

Hi, I have being suffering for the past 7 months now with pressure in and around the side of my head, and in the back of the head too. Under a phsyio at the moment, it tends to ease it a little, head outs pressure into the back of the head around the muscle areas, causes me a lot of pain. Which they seem to think it's the hot spots for the pressure feeling. Just had a bad weekend with it, feeling light headed now and then when walking around. Never felt anything like this before. Not saying a phsyio is the answer, but try it as it does make a difference, for a bit anyway. He said it could take a while. It makes me feel at ease though knowing it's not just me suffering. You feel so alone with this some times.

It's awful Andrew. Thanks for replying. I'm going to see neurologist as I want to challenge him and ask for an MRI on my neck to see if it is a "pinched nerve".

Hiya, had another phsyio session today, pain, with a little bit of more pain thrown in for good will. Struggling with the pressure feeling and the back of my necks is in pieces. My phsyio is looking at sending me to a specialist, that deals with musculer problems in the neck and head area. It involves injecting steroids into the muscle areas, to hopefully ease off the pressure and tension. I suppose will try anything, if it helps.

Hello Andrew. I have been suffering with the same symptoms as you for the past few months now. I just finished a course of antibiotics as my doctor thinks it could be a sinus infection but I honestly think she is wrong. I still have this horrible pressure mostly on the left side of my head and it travels down into the side of my neck and I even feel it going to my shoulder and chest area. I have even had a tingling in my face, and teeth ache as well. I'm besdie myself to know what to do. I am getting ready to order some natural remedies from a homeopathy web site. If you have come up with a solution since your last statement I would be more than grateful to know! Thank you, and its a relief to know that other people know what I am talking about out there!

I too have just finished up a round of antibiotics for sinus infection, that was almost 2 weeks ago and just a couple of days ago I started to get lil headaches again and feeling lightheaded if I have been sitting for awhile.

Hi Brenda! Do you have the pressure problem as well? Mines been going on now for a few months. I'm wondering if it's what Andrew on here has said.... Maybe it is to do with the muscle area, in my case anyway,

Hi guys, I had regular visits to my physio, and he loosened all the neck muscles through putting pressure into the back of my neck using his thumbs. It's hurts like hell, but after time, it all eases off. I get the pressure back at times but have learnt were to put pressure in the back of my neck, trust me you feel the pressure easing away. It's caused by not sitting up right, eighth at a desk or just generally. Causes all the the muscles in your neck that go up into the back of your head, to clamp, which in turns cause the pressure feeling, in the forehead and around the eyes and down the sides of your face. I pretty much are living pressure free, and when it comes on, I sit up right with my thumbs hard and as high into the back of my head at the top of the neck, after applying pressure for a while you can feel the pressure feeling in your head start to decrease. Trust me it works, I suffered along time with this, feeling my happier in life now. Hope this helps. Andrew

Hi Andrew. Great to read your post. I've been with headaches for 4 years now. Gradually getting better. Foggy head feeling now more than severe pain in top of head. Had all the scans etc. The foggy head and aches ease when I lay down. I too work at a computer all day. Feel better after yoga. My question is has the physio worked for you? If so I'll go down that route as I believe it is all tension related that was brought on by a panic attack out of the blue. Hope to hear from you.
