I hope this helps someone, I had these same symptoms pressure in the back of my head that would sometimes feel like its on top or inside my head hitting me out of nowhere getting dizzy not able to stand long, feeling faint, blurred vission, neck pain, tingling sensations in hands and legs like somthing was moving inside me, random spurts of pain and pressure in chest & heart, teeth and legs and behind eyes hesring popping sounds inside head ears popping basically feeling like my head and body was a baloon about to pop. Nasal pressure meds did nothing & pain meds had no effect a hot room or shower would help at times but would still be there all I could do was lay down & that was even hard. To make a long story short this went on for a long time I was scared and would often trigger an anxiety attack because I would freak out. To my dismay after suffering all this pain the cure for me was over the counter gas relief medicine I took extra strength for a few days and slowly the pressure was gone now that I think about it that explains the weird sounds in my head and the pressure behind my eyes sometimes I'd rub my eyes and I could hear little noises like air bubbles, the sharp pressure that would shoot to my teeth from the inside and everything else, the trapped air had no direction where to go other than through out my head and parts of my body so it would stay in like soda in a shooken can, I'm not sure how or why this happens but gas relief helped me tremendously! I don't know if this is the case for everyone else but its worth a try. I wish you all well.

Hi Bella thank you for sharing what you have discovered. What are the names of the products that you are using to relieve gas?

You're welcome, I'm not sure if I can list it here but it begins with Gas and ends with ex I took the extra strength &, occasionally I would also take meds that would help relieve any sinus mucus with the ingredients Guaifenesin & Phenylephrine HCL in it whenever I'd get a stuffy nose so it wouldn't make matters worse.

It's amazing how many people are dealing with this with no resolution.

I have been dealing with migraine style headaches daily for 30 years. Many MRI's, drugs and tests. Nothing has worked. Loud pulsatile tinnitus, neck and lower back pain, migraine radiates through the lower back of my head. Vision changes with pain. For the past few months things are getting worse. I have had a couple of episodes where it felt like a huge pain bubble moved from the base of my skull to the top of my head within 5 seconds causing me to blackout temporarily. I'm not a stressful person, actually I'm the exact opposite. But man not knowing what this is, is mind boggling. Now I have to wait another 3 months to get back to my neurologist.

Hi Wayne may I ask how do you handle the pain. Someone recommended doing daily tapping sessions. I will send you a link if you want it.

Hi everyone...I am pretty much experiencing the same things and have had several tests and all the doctors try to push it as anxiety...but I have never had anything like this and it only happened this year (40 years old).  My symptoms, tightness, pressure and tingles on my head like someone is pulling my scalp.  I mostly experience this when sitting...never when laying down.  I have blood pressure that goes higher when sitting or standing as well but the cardiologist says "everything is fine," anyone else sick of hearing that when you are not fine???  I sometimes feel dizzy, weak and like my legs and arms feel numb.  It all started 6 months ago with a feeling like I was going to pass out whenever I walked or moved - thank God that has stopped.  I also have a very tight and sensitive chest area that they are saying could be costochondritis and are going to try and see if injections will help with that pain.  I just went for xrays onmy neck and spine to see if anything is out of whack as I thought it could be a pinched nerve...it is just crazy how everything gets pushed as anxiety and here are your pills go home.  Hoping everyone here feels better soon and if anyone has a breakthrough or real diagnosis please let me know thank you.

Tension-type headaches are thought to be caused by tightness in the muscles at the back of the neck and over the scalp. The underlying causes include anything which makes those muscles tense. This includes both physical and mental tension. Tiredness, stress, anxiety and an awkward sleeping position can make them worse. Working long hours bent over a computer may trigger them. Some people get tension-type headaches if they drink too much caffeine or alcohol, if they don't drink enough water or if they go for a long time between meals and become tired and hungry.

What is the treatment for tension-type headaches?

Tension-type headaches usually respond to simple painkillers, often with a large glass of water. However, the best approach is to treat the underlying reason (if you can work out what it is). Changes in lifestyle can help - such as having less caffeine and drinking more water. So, too, can a sensible diet. in which you eat regularly and have a good balance of slow-release energy foods rather than lots of sugars. Reducing the number of pillows you sleep on can sometimes help, particularly if you sleep on more than two pillows. Sleeping on your side on high pillows means your neck is bending sideways during the night, and this may trigger muscle tension and hence headaches. Other things which help improve tension-type headaches are adequate sleep and avoiding excessive noise.

Hi Ann, just a quick question. Your psychiatrist said not to call it a headache so what would you call it? Does the pain only affect one side of your head at a time? Did you ever see an ENT specialist? As for the pain , have you ever tried tapping (EFT)?

I think I have the answer to your problem! I've been suffering from the same head pressure for 5 months now! It's maddening! I just discovered that what we are possibly going through what's called a silent migraine. Basically it's all the symptoms of a migraine, which inclusdes head pressure, fatigue, dizziness, sensitivity to light and all that stuff, but without the intense pain of a regular migraine. I haven't been treated yet, but I'm at least 95% sure this is the answer. I just read the symptoms and to me it all seems to add up. I finally have hope! I hope this can help you and anyone else who is suffering! smile

Have you tried an elimination diet? I had these symptoms for eight years and saw so many doctors (including my own dad) and was seriously suffering, until someone suggested trying an elimination diet. What you do is cut out all common allergens/irritants such as dairy, gluten, caffeine, and sugar for 21 days. Then, if your symptoms go away or lessen, you reintroduce them one at a time and see what happens. (Wait at least three days before reintroducing the next food.). There are lots of resources online to explain more details.
