It's automatically backdated.

With ESA it's another ESA0 form and not a review form. Each ESA review is classed as a new claim.

You're welcome. Yes it's stressful indeed. Hopefully everything will be fine. Good luck Ross x

The text you recieved means, they recieved your form and nothing else. I'm guessing this is for PIP as you said your ESA is due in March? Most people need an assessment and if they don't then it's rare.
As for comparing yourself to others then i'm sorry but it's wrong, you shouldn't do that. You can't compare 2 people because we're all different. I don't believe for a minute that someone could lie enough to get an award without an assessment. PIP isn't an easy benefit to claim and there's probably less people playing the system than there was with DLA.
Hopefully you sent in evidence to support your claim and when you go for that assessment make sure you tell them in as much detail how your condition affects you daily.
PIp isn't about a diagnosis. Good luck.

Hi Ross
The text you received I'd a standard DWP template they just put the customers name in and send it out .
As Denise said it's just so you know they've got the form and its not lost in the post. It's very rare not to have a f2f interview, normally only happens in cases of mental health issues like severe psychosis or for terminal illness.
Take care
Wendy

In a lot of cases mental health can be the hardest conditions to prove.
For those with a terminal illness the special rules only apply to those with a disagnosis of 6 months or less, if this is the case then a DS1500 is needed from a GP or Consultant.

Denise I meant special rules cases and dangerous psychosis as PIP can be claimed even by those who are judged dangerous to society.
I meant this small group of people not those with mental health issues in general as I appreciate how hard it is to prove anxiety, depression, OCD and learning difficulties etc
However if it would be dangerous for an assessor to undertake a face to face it would be done by paper and doctors reports.
Hope that clears up my point 😊 x
