To anyone that suffers from these terrible groin cramps, please try Theraworks. It has been a God send for me. You apply every night before bed and it decreases the amount of cramps and lessens the ones that you get. Plus when one does come on immediately rub 3 squirts into the cramps, and it subsides quickly. Hope this works as well for y'all wait has for me. God Bless.

Good afternoon all. I started getting severe inner thigh cramps about a year ago. I wake up in excruciating pain and have to practically throw myself out of bed and apply as much pressure as I can. It usually lasts 10-15 minutes and like others here I wish I would pass out until it improves. Once I'm able to walk I head to the kitchen and have a drink of vile tonic water. Once I've done that I don't get another one that night. After reading so many articles and many GP appointments I have come to the conclusion that it is related to a condition I was diagnosed with years ago "Disc disease of my spine". I just wish their was something I could do to stop these damn cramps from even happening? Exercise? Stretching? Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thank you so very much for your knowledge and information. I intend going to see my GP to request blood tests just in case it's nothing to do with my spinal condition. I have a heat/massaging device which I will now use before bedtime. I have also ordered the Theraworx as mentioned. So, fingers crossed I will see a huge benefit quickly. I do hope that what you are doing helps you in the long term and prevents you from having these tremendously painful inner thigh cramps. Once again thank you so very much Joan1078 xxxxxxxxxx

I talked to my doctor, she told me to take magnesium glycinate which helped. I also take calcium chews. I now take maintenance amounts daily. She said start with half teaspoon, work up by 1/2 tsp, when loose stools start, you've gotten it too high. Mine are never too high no matter how much I take, so I'm definitely always depleted. I've had gastric bypass, and I have fibromyalgia. Since I don't absorb vitamins as well now, it's no surprise that I'm always low. The magnesium has been a life changer. No more cramps, except a pull now and then. I immediately take it when that happens. I've also ordered the potassium in this powdered form, and going to add that to my daily doses. I hope this helps. Oh, and I also put a heating pad between thighs when I think to. Best of hope in finding what works for you!

Several months ago, I posted a quick relief for these cramps that I have had off and on for ten years. I discovered this method after getting relief for pushing in hard with my fist against the cramping muscle. This method uses NO drugs . All that is needed is 2-3 6" Ace bandages. You take 1 bandage and leave it rolled up after removing the plastic wrapper. You hold that Ace bandage parallel against the muscle that is cramping. Then you or another person takes a 2nd bandage and wrap it VERY snugly around your leg and over the rolled up bandage forcing it into the cramping muscle. A third bandage may be necessary depending on the size or your leg and the degree of pressure your cramping muscle may need.
You do not want to cut off the circulation but heavy pressure against the muscle is required.
I had to call for nurses when I was in the hospital for an unrelated issue. The cramp started while the doctor was in the room and he was totally lost on what top do.When the nurses got to my room I told to get me three Ace bandages ASAP. I had to tell them how to apply them while I kept putting as much pressure as I could on my thigh. As soon as they finished the application, they helped me stand up and in about 5 minutes, it was completely gone. I kept the bandages on for a couple more hours just in case it came back. It did not.
So far, I have not received any response from anyone who may have tried this. Why, I do not know as it works and it works fast and requires no drugs of any kind.

Oh wow. You can't imagine how relieved you've made me feel right now. I've followed your advice and have already placed 3 bandages on my bedside cabinet. I must say that when I had the cramps last night I pushed my fist onto my inner thigh with pressure and it eased off. It came back as soon as I released the pressure. I'm going to try your method but I'm also going to apply heat/massaging prior to bedtime to see if this reduces frequency/intensity. Thank you so very much dipper2001

So glad it helped you. It generally provides pretty fast relief for me. I have frequently left them on over night to be sure it doesn't reoccur in the middle of the night. I have a very bad back and rushing to get up from sleeping is very difficult, even without the cramps. This method has given me a peace of mind that I will not have to work so hard to get up quickly. External heat and massage will absolutely help. You can place a heating pad under the leg while the bandages are on and get the benefit of both at the same time.
I wish you all the best.

I can't do anything when these hit. I can't even move from the pain, so this isn't possible for me unless, I could feel them coming on and start the bandages then. I've found magnesium glycinate works for me. As soon as one starts, I drink the powdered mix with water, already made up, and it stops.
