      James,

If you have a similar look on your penis, please go see a Dr. There are many different situations that can cause this, and showing your Dr is the best way to know what's going on. Please see my own post, Glans Penis Biopsy, and the updates, to encourage you. Mine is on the way to healing, but had I not been encouraged here to get over my hesitation to show my penis to the Dr, I would have a serious problem.

Guys, it's just a penis. The medical community knows we have one. They have seen them small, medium, and large. Circumcised and not circumcised. Flaccid and erect. Big hairy balls and balls shaved clean. Tattooed and pierced. Get over it. Don't let shyness, embarrassment, or anything get between you and good Penis health. It's the only one you have, be good to it and it will be good to you...now, go see your Dr, and update here to let us know what's going on and to encourage other guys to do the same...please.

      Thanks Jorock for the advice

I really dont know that to do with that issue.

Simply, I had  a red inflammation around the hole of urine. It sometimes become red and when I put water it turnes to be white and shiny. I have got this weird slight pain from only the hole of urine. I went to three doctors and already used ant fungul-bacterial and corisone .... I donot know what to do next...

Looks like balanitis, though I'd also be concerned about what seems to be a small sore just under the rim towards the bottom right of the pic.  It's also not clear if the base of the glans (the helmet) is swollen, which would also be a concern.

I definitely think you should see a doctor.  You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.  You'd probably be able to get an appointment (possibly just walk in) with a GUM clinic a lot faster than with your GP, and you'd be seeing specialists.

If you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated.  Good luck.

These links may also help, though the second one is written for doctors:

You do need to see a doctor though.

      Thanks for the reply.

From what I can gather balanitis usually involves papules which I do not have.

The helmet isn't swollen and I think the thing you're seeing on the bottom right is just a piece of lint.

Like I said, I'm not a doctor, but I'd be surprised if you don't have balanitis.  Pearly penile papules are something else, and you don't appear to have them.

Just to check that we're talking about the same thing, I've uploaded a picture highlighting the part of the image that looked like a sore (though it might look completely different from a different angle).

Pearly penile papules are completely different to balanitis and one wouldn't always be present without the other. I don't have PPP but have had frequent bouts of balanitis going back as far as my teenage years. Over time i've learnt to manage it by keeping the glans clean with warm water (no soap) and letting it air naturally whenever possible so it can dry. This has stopped the balanitis from flaring up as much, I also do not use any non-water based lubricants too.

The head sometines goes like that when all the natural oils have been removed by soaps / gels. I would only wash the head with water and If you are't circumsised keep the foreskin over it. Give that a week or two and see if it improves.

    Good Luck

Looks like you were right!  I cut back on the soap and it is improving a lot.  Thanks for taking the time to respond, I really appriciate it!

Hey Joe so pleased to hear back thanks for bothering to report back. So pleased to hear it's going back to normal and improving. Great to get a woory off of your mind.

Joe, thanks for posting and including the photo, it really helps others. Take a look at my posts on Glans Penis Biopsy and the updates, read my story and then go see your Dr. In my case I caught mine before it became a serious issue. Not sure what your is, but I do know how to be sure. Show it to a Dr...it may very well be nothing, but it's better to be a little uncomfortable showing your junk to as many Dr's as want to see it than suffer the consequences of waiting too long.

Pleas follow up here after you see your Dr and let us know what they think.

    Hey Joe

Did you ever get any any answers? I have something similar and was diagnosed with a yeast infection

      Jason,

I have another appointment next Tuesday with a Dermatologist to take a look. I've thought all along it may be a Yeast infection but there's not been a clear answer yet. It's getting quite frustrating to be sure. I used a Steroid cream prescribed by one Dr and it seems to make things worse. My spot has spread around my Glans more and now it has several sores and some scanning in places. I stopped using ithe cream after two days. I'm just using Emu Oil right now until my next appointment. It may not help much but at least it's not making it worse. Hopefully the Dermatologist will have answers for me. I'm certain it's not an STD, but not sure what else, the Biopsy only stated a 'lichenoid inflammation' which is rather broad in scope.

Thanks for asking and I'll post another update with current photos tomorrow, look for it....

    Hi Joe

I have been dealing with the almost same thing.

My glans becomes red with more prominent red dots and foreskin becomes red too while I was it with lukewarm water. It is a lot shiny after I just complete washing it and after a minutes it gets really dry with wrinkles all over the glans. I have taken doxy and itranozole for 20 days and applied onabet for 45 days still no improvement. I consulted a dermatologist recently and he prescribed fulcunazole 150 mg tablets on alternate days. I have consumed around 4 of them but still no improvement. It is really depressing.

I am 26 and had protected sex but unprotected oral and kissing.

    I regret it everyday.

    Please suggest something.

First, thanks for asking. After the biopsy, steroid cream (which made things much worse), flueconizol for yeast infection, and such, the best result I achieved from my dermatologist was to use Aquaphor soap daily and apply Aquaphor ointment to my glans three times a day. It was a bit messy, and I ended up wearing a cup for about six weeks. I would apply a heave coat of the ointment all over my glans and if not wearing a cup, the stuff would leave stains in your underwear and pants. That draws more attention to you than wearing a cup! I have cleared up completely except for two slight scars from the steroid cream. No more discoloration, spots, or discomfort.

The Aquaphor ointment is available non prescription at most pharmacies. Give it a try, it sure worked for me.

I did have to abstain from intercourse and oral for Almost three months during this experience, but it allowed my wife and I to explore other interesting masturbation techniques.

I hope this helps you...let me know.

      Hi Joe

That really helped bro. I will definitely try that. Did you also took any oral medicines for that?

I like to share the pics of my problem with you so that you can relate it better.

By your pics i am certain that we have a common issue.

Could it be something else by looking at the pics?

      Thanks again Joe.

Hey @Lostknight thanks for posting the pics.

I seem to suffer from what looks very similar. Also this:

"It is a lot shiny after I just complete washing it and after a minutes it gets really dry with wrinkles all over the glans."

      is very true for me.

My doctor prescribed Lotrimin (anti fungal) for 14 days but it did not help.

Did your go away? If so, could you please let me know what you did?

      thanks
