Smelly gas like sulphur and rotten eggs

Hi all. So embarrassed but don't know what else to do. I actually am getting seriously depressed as It Is so bad.

I have been getting really bloated and pass the most foul smelling gas ever, it stinks and lingers in the room. I'm having to air my bungalow every evening.

I eat relatively healthy, excercise regularly and am slim.

This has been going on solidly for 2 whole months. I have tried eating different things but i just keep getting this awful smell! Sometimes I feel like I'm going to shit myself!! I can't have people over and am scared to go out when I know I'll be in a small space. I gave up my job!!

I have had to do a stool sample, all clear. The doctors just say I have IBS. They gave me colofac (mebeverine) which did nothing! I don't know what the hell to do!!

PLEASE HELP

My X Partner of 17 years suffered with all these issues.  He attended a Naturopath specialist involved with the College of Natural Medicine.  His issue was diet.  Tests revealed his Alkyline vs Acidity were completely the wrong way round.

This situation can lead and in his case was proven to be 1st stage diabetes, due to diet.

Anyway, he was given a prescription for a big lot of Powder to mix and drink, some other tiny tablets etc and a Very very strict diet sheet with the only food groups he could eat for the first couple of weeks.   This is very restrictive, but very effective!!   Gradually he was able to introduce other food groups.  During his weeks he was tested to gauge progress.  After a month he was 3/4 reversed, and feeling totally like a human being again with loads more energy.

6 weeks later his system was reversed and he looked so well.  Even lost some unwelcomed weight.

His diet was back to almost normal at that point but with a slight restriction on how much Cheese, Cashew nuts, and a handful if other things, and Beer.  Everything in moderation.

Sadly though, some folk don't follow through all the good work and go back to BAD HABITS...   repetitively...   tsk tsk....  His own worst enemy.

He will continue on his bad habit pathway and end up diabetic.  MRI's did show the intial calcification in the kidneys.   Which is treatable of course with diet and goes away.  BUT sadly he won't follow the good true path.

It is obvious to those who have seen him in later times, that he's not on a good road.  He now carries a big motor in the front (again) which is where he was  part way with his bad symptoms previously.

To add to this example: -

He's even aware of the his mothers and her grandfathers fates, and he's on the same cycle path.   There is just no advising 'some folk' is there.  This is where doctors have to step back and say..  'you have been given your instructions of self help, and even meds'...Go do the right thing, not a doctors fault if you don't.

In his case, he's his own worst renemy, sad isn't it.

After 4 LONG months....I found the solution!! Colon hydrotherapy! I no longer have that awful, smelly gas anymore!! My life has changed!

I tried everything. I kept a food diary to try to find patterns. I tried eliminating gluten. Then dairy. Then meat. I tried probiotics, digestive enzymes, phyllis husk fiber, ginger, peppermint oil.... You name it, I tried it and nothing worked.

So I read about colon cleansing, specifically colon hydrotherapy. It is a holistic treatment, so doctors don't mention it. But I did it last week. And I have not had smelly gas since! It completely washed me out clean. I went for my second therapy session today and it feels great!

Anyone with gas, bloating, constipation or diarrhea issues NEEDS to try this!!

I am not in the medical field. So forgive my lack of medical vocab....

I was a little nervous to try the colon hydrotherapy because a small tube (width of a pencil) goes up your anus, a couple of inches. But I swear you could BARELY feel it. This tube flushes warm water into your colon and intestines, which forces all of the cruddy crud that lives in there. Even people that have regular bowel movements still have crud because the lining of our intestines can oollect old waste. So this warm water basically loosens it all up and brings it out. On my second treatment, I had WAY more stuff come out. Some people even have parasites flushed out in a colon cleanse!! EEK! After I got over the initial shock of a tube being up my butthole, it was actually relaxing and therapeutic and I didnt want the hour to end! I am telling you though, I have not had the smelly gas since that first colonic!!! It is amazing!

I was excited for my second appointment!  I plan on going once a month (or every other month, depending on if I can afford it.

My husband, my dad and my aunt have since tried it and they said it was easy and comfortable.  It relieved constipation for them and gave all of them energy!

I felt I had to reply to this. Think very carefully before you go for colonics.! Are you certain that you have no weakness in the bowel wall? I doubt many people know. I went for colonics and ended up with a rectal prolapse. Honestly is it worth the risk?

Ohhhhh, Lynda....I just this minute read your message and googled 'rectal prolapse'..... Read and saw pictures.... Sounds dreadful. It says that there's a bigger chance of this happening if one is a woman over 50.... It's my 50th birthday in 2 days. For me, it's not worth the risk.

      Thank you for the info👍👍👍

Hope all is good with you now.

You're welcome. I would hate to think the same thing would happen to someone else. I was trying desperately to solve one problem and ended up with one much worse( and it didn't solve anything) The prolapse happened literally after the colonic. Yes thanks I'm fine now ,but it took an operation to put it right and once it's happened it can easily happen again( and usually does!) so I just wanted you to know the risks,as I had no idea.

I few months ago I had similar problems. Because of stress at work and because I was always tired (I had to switch often between night and day shift) I started having digestive discomfort: after every meal my stomach was upset, I was having pain every day, really stinky gas (I had to drive to work with the windows down), I had to go more often to the bathroom; usually after going to the bathroom I was feeling better. So I went to the doctor, he send me to the breath test (‘‘h pylori’’ I believe it’s called) and ultrasound, but everything was ok. He gave me some anti-acid pills. I was feeling a little better after taking the pills but still I was not ok. So I barrow some books about the digestive system from the library and read. My conclusion was to try probiotics and change some of my eating habits. I was looking on the internet (also after reviews) for probiotics which have a minimum guaranteed live cultures until the expire date and which have coating that resist the stomach acid. What’s the point in taking them if they don’t reach the gut or they are not enough to make a change? In the end I found what I was looking for at a store. The probiotic that I used is called Bio-K Plus. I bought the medium one (25 billion – there are also 12.5 and 50) which worked great for me. After the first capsule I was feeling better.

I used to eat whatever I wanted, whenever and as much as I wanted (I’m slim). So after this problem I stoped mixing foods that don’t work well together. I began eating fruits only 2-3 hours before or after a meal and stoped eating the food that I knew it was upsetting my stomach.

I guess I doesn’t matter which probiotic you take as long as it does what is supposed to. My opinion is to buy a probiotic that was kept in good conditions (there are probiotics which require refrigerating), that guarantees the minimum live cultures, that has coating and it's not to close to the expire date. I tried a few days ago (I had some minor digestive discomfort and gas) the 12.5 billion one but the results were not as I was expected. I bought it from a different store, probably they didn’t store it in good conditions.

    Hi Jenny,

One word. TURMERIC. I promise it will stop those sulphur farts. For me it worked almost straight away. Turmeric destroys the cell walls of the pathogenic bacteria inside our bowels. There has been loads of scientific research proving this, just google it if you want proof. But I can assure you that if you try turmeric it will work, I PROMISE !!!!! your life will return to how it once was.

      Hi there,

Are you taking TUMERIC in a capsule or powder form? I just bought some that I mix with a smoothie, shake or juice.
