I am only on 10 mg of Amytriptyline, anymore and I would be a zombie!
I notice I have sugar cravings on it, and have to eat chocolate last thing at night.
Also weight gain is a side affect of this drug.
Have any of you looked into prescription only Vitamin D,not the over the counter ones.
I was put on this after being at a clinic and found out my level was nearly nil,so far fibro not as bad.It is called Dekrisol. And they say it is a hormone.
Have a google.

Blood test is specialised, where I live it has to be sent to Glasgow.
But you will need to be retested every 6 months.
Doctors don;t like to do this test as it's expensive.

I was put on a high fat diet, also no sugar lifestyle.
I have full fat milk, organic butter and Guernsey cream.Spelt bread and use coconut oil for cooking.Homemade soups. No food after 7pm.
No low fat foods or processed, and I haven't put on any weight.
But this was found out because of my bloated stomach, like 9 months pregnant!I had many blood tests and they found out I had to go on a anti fungal diet.
No honey,no melon,no juicers (after I had bought one).
This was all done privately,it cost me a lot, but money well spent,as GP's had been so unhelpful, except for giving drugs, which really don't work.
I agree less stress is the key.

I'm on 50 mg... & that what I find hard as well😠... Not only have I got fibromyalgia I've got under active thyroid, osteoporosis ( where broken bone I've got Osteoarthritis) rheumatoid arthritis in hands & feet,& asthma ... So I carnt afford to put on weigh... I gained 3stone in nearly 3 months wasn't eating any more was going to gym& swimming. When well enough.. Doctor didn't want to know ... Spoke to my phamasist & she asked me how /when do  I taken them... Explained finish work have my food then  depends what time I finish either take them straight after food but usually 2 hrs before I go to bed.... She explained to me that I need to take them an hour before I want to go to bed but also 2hrs after I eaten ... Because it to slow down signal from the brain to nerves ... It slows down rest of the body & because I already got under active thyroid I'm not giving the body chance to digest my food..... & that y I've gained weight ..... Don't know if that applies to every body ... I'm on a lot of different medication ....
lI feel like I'm running up escalater wrong way...  When the rhem- doctor weigh me he had cheek to tut at me... Totally lost the plot ... Let's just say was a understatement 😂😂 sat the mouth opened wide ... Totally in shock lol not normally like that but  angry understatement
I also think don't know if others agree with me ... But because I'm not as mobile & always tired find it hard to do anything let alone excerise
hope ur doctor sorts for you xx
