Was curious if this ever got solved? Been going thru the same thing for 3 months. Everyone says I’m good but there are these swollen nodules in the back of my throat that the throat doctor said may he scar tissue so I am super confused. I am a super healthy fit girl & all my stomach tests & swallow studies came back good. It’s so annoying & Pain is 24-7.

I am suffering pain at my throat from last two years. I take medicine by consulting with a professor. He guessed that this problem is for gastric and allergy. But still now i didn't get relief. Even though my eye and ear also paining sometimes for that reason, i think. I read your advice that you already given to other patient and started to take the olive leaf with boiling. But i don't get relief.

hey! so i have been suffering for almost one year. research cobblestone throat... it was almost to an exact for me. i have been to every doctor imaginable, had upper endsocopy, Ct scan, allergt tests etc. i read somehwere it can be cured from an herbal tea twice a day everyday. ginger root, thyme, garlic and manuka honey. some days i get full relief.

Thanks for updating me .such conversation with fellow patient gives us strength and courage .I am using ginger and garlic .But still I didn't get relief I am using these almost for month .Now my condition is pain in ears ,sore throat and white tongue. There are taste buds also swollen at the back of the tongue .Doctor thinks that it's due to acid reflux but I don't feel any sore in my mouth .some times when after dinner when I go for walk I feel gas and bloating stomach.

i should add that i have been on (omeprozal i think thats how its spelled) and sucrafalate pills for acid reflux. although there was not much seen when i did upper endoscopy. that may be helping as well. have you gone to a GI specialist and had that procedure done? as for the pain in your ears maybe thats due to allergy? i know its frustrating because we get told the same thing over and over... do you use a sterilized nedi pot? i also take regular mucinex before bed every night. i still have days where my flare ups are horrible but i was at a point where i never thought i would have a good day again. try these things if you havent...sending hope your way...

You sound like me! I’m still dealing with mine with no relief. I’ve been to two ENT doctors, and i’m still dealing with mine with no relief. I’ve been to to ENT doctors, an allergist, an actual doctor and had blood work done that came back 100%. iPad barium swallow studies. Even went to my dentist to see if it was something dental related and no one can figure it out. Nothing has given me any relief it stays at a level 10 all day every day. I’ll stay in touch if they figure out anything on my way and I’ll let you know. Thanks for reaching out and I hope you get lots of relief soon

If you don't mind me asking you how long has this been going on for you.?
For me it started last December following a sinus infection.
I have seen two ENT's, both of them putting me on PPI'S and Peptac for months. Both have scoped me many times and one arranged a CT scan and operated on both of my maxillary sinuses. At least my sinus issues seem to have been resolved.
I have seen a Gastroenteroligist who had done an endoscopy and CT scan with contrast of my whole abdominal area. I have also had a bravo chip fitted for 48 hour monitoring of reflux in the oesophagus.
All the above came back clear.
This weekend I have just had a restech probe fitted to the back of my larynx to measure reflux and that will be assessed next week.
I am sure that there is a ton of other things that I could mention but I feel despair in being taken seriously with my throat, hoarseness, bad ear pain issues.
Is like playing tennis with the ENT and Gastroenteroligist in finding a correct diagnosis and treatment. Even tho the ENT consultant is sure that LPR is involved.
You can feel at your wits end.
Best wishes.

Best of luck to you today.
It is frustrating dealing with this situation, as well as trying to get an effective cure. My Gastro specialist does believe i LPR but it is to monitor.
I rang him up after doing off that device that I got fitted over the weekend and I'll see him again soon to see where we go from here.
I am using peptac after each meal, for the sodium alginate protection. I also have now started to use water with apH of 9.6. I have some of that before and then an hour after each meal. I do believe that is helping, hopefully it will continue to do so.
My first ENT specialist was not very good but the second one that I arranged to see is so much better. Just a pity that you need the services of a Gastro one as well with this condition.

Thank you! No luck but they referred me to a Gastro, this guy has 5 stars so if he figures anything out i will keep u posted. I dont know how yours feels but mine has felt like 24 hour strep throat gives me no relief. I have noticed if i quit talking for days the pain is still there but it stops throbbing. I'm gonna add turmeric today & change my diet up again. I am a pretty fit person & my weight is perfect as well. I was a vegan but i got so desparate that i even added meat in at the doctors request to see if i was lacking something & that gave me no relief. I am willing to try anything to get this pain down. Thank God its all that seems to be wrong so thats why docs are so baffled. I will keep u posted & u keep me posted! Hoping u get relief soon!

I saw my Gastro specialist last night, follow up to the pH monitoring of the larynx.
He is convinced that any single event which occurred to damage the larynx and cause inflammation to the vocal cords is no longer happening.
In other words I do not have any form of reflux that could not be considered anything else but normal.
He will write and confirm that to the ENT specialist who I see.
He did tell me that when he recently did a presentation to a large number of ENT and other people, he has a clinical interest in GORD and runs a clinic for treatment etc as well as lectures about it, that the term LPR can be used when it does not necessarily apply.
He had now placed me on a drug to help to desensitise that area as he feels there could be a relationship similar to that of those who have IBS, which along with anxiety sort of describes me, where the over sensitivity becomes the problem rather than any continuing situation. I hope that I have explained it well enough to understand.
I also hope that your Gastro person has a clinical interest in GORD type conditions and works well with your ENT specialist.
I am continuing to be mindful of my diet and will continue to use DGL licorice as well as drink some alkaline water.
I see my ENT person in the new year and my Gastro person in six weeks.
Best wishes to you.

Very sorry for the late reply, for some reason I was no longer "following" this thread...?!
What tablets are those that you are now taking...? I have been put on nortriptyline (10mg) to help with this issue by my Gastro. Hopefully they should help.
Best of luck.
