Still bloated after gallbladder removal?

Hello guys it's me again. So I have been having a couple of issues after my gallbladder removal on August 5th. My stomach seems to feel very full now. This happened maybe 3-4 days after my surgery. I also started getting nauseous. But what bothers me the most is this bloated feeling. It's very uncomfortable and I can't eat much because I feel so stuffed and the nausea makes it worse. If I do try to eat my stomach literally feels like it's about to burst and it makes it hard to breathe. I've been walking here and there maybe 20 blocks each time as I was told walking will make the gas leave. But I feel so bad I'm not sure if anyone has experienced bloating this long? A friend of mine said her bloating and has left in a week. Is it possible to take ginger ale to help me burp, maybe gas x, anything? I just want to feel good again and I honestly feel sick. Don't think I'm constipated and I've been having bouts of diarreah and soft stool.

I had all same symptoms. Amitriptyline helped some it brought back my appetite. They use it for slot of different things.., if u read on it. But for stomachs like ours it is suppose to restart/ jumpstart ur digestive system. My appetite is a lot bigger but I still get some bloat I'm trying probiotics this time 4 weeks straight with probiotics is when they say u should see some difference n continue to take them. I am also on amitiza for IBS. If ur constipated it will clean u out definitely.

Hi Laura! I'm really glad to hear today has been a good day for you . Actually no, I'm not all better haha. Still having the same symptoms. Bloated/full feeling, some nausea at times. Mostly after I eat I feel soooo stuffed and get nauseous. Does this happen to you as well or is it a bit different? I don't feel sad or anything it's just this makes it difficult for me to eat a correct amount and I can't seem to gain weight because of it!! I get costipated sometimes too or have loose stools.

Forgot to mention I have this strange dull "pain" on my right side of the belly button area when I press on it. Maybe i developed a hernia and this is the cause? I'm going to schedule a ultrasound to see if anything is in there. Hopefully yes because this will solve my problems if the doctors find something you know?

Today has been a so so day. Not feeling as well as i had hoped for. Nausea, acid feeling . Most foods smell weird to me . It's hard to find anything to eat that I enjoy. I don't look forward to eating at all anymore . I just want normalcy, and I wonder if it exists anymore. I hope you and anyone reading this has a better today and tomorrow 🙏😇

I try different things , cereal at 630 am. By 9 I have acid and metal taste sometimes . So I find a small
Snack . And a few sips of Diet Coke or water . I've started chewing gum again . Seems like it helps keep the acid down . I had a lady at work today tell me it takes bout a year for your body to adjust . I don't feel like I can make it . But I'm trying 🙏

Yes small dulling pain every now and then . But it goes away . I'm
Just frustrated everyone said the surgery was no big deal and that I'd be back to normal within 2 weeks . So not true for me, going on 6 weeks I've got anxiety and depression. Nausea acid .
I hope you are better real soon

Nausea comes and goes ,'when I eat I feel bubbly and acidy . When I don't eat I feel acidy . Dr has given me three diff heartburn nausea meds . None fix problem, then taking to many causes constipation and bloating . I wish I could sleep for a few days and wake up well . My nausea is worsened by stress. And it's a repeating cycle for me , but yesterday I had a good day overall so it gave me more hope that I will get better . I hope you are better soon as well

So you don't have that sick full feeling like me. I would say you're probably doing better haha. But I think we will all be better soon. I will pray for you as well! I don't think it's possible for one to feel like this forever you know? Just don't give up. When you don't feel like eating try having foods like applesauce, or bananas. Toast and crackers are good as well! Ginger tea helps nausea as well as peppermint tea and in candy form these also help! Have you tried the medication zofran for nausea and for the acidity tums or Pepcid? I take digestive enzymes as well. Probiotics too. Maybe you need some as well! They help break down meal fats as we don't have a gallbladder anymore to do the proper job.

Sorry to hear about your hernia! Do you really need an operation for that though? I'm starting to think I probably have a hernia haha my stomach feels weird! It's a weird full sickly feeling after eating that I get. Can a hernia cause nausea and fullness?
