Strange lumps in back of throat - Health anxiety at an all time high!

Hi all!

thanks in advance for any replies!

so earlier today I noticed in the back of my throat that there were numerous big pink lumps, I have intense health anxiety so this has resulted in a day full of googling and panicking about cancer etc 😦

I was hoping someone here may have experienced these before and could reassure me and in turn calm my silly anxiety down.

thanks guys 😃

Hi Samuel. Mine look so similar to your picture. Looks like Cobblestone throat due to reflux I'm hoping. Been like this for over three months but seems to be progressing slowly. No pain now. Taking Gaviscon for my reflux which is better but not gone. Started with a stiff neck and occasional pain but bumps look more prominent in certain areas. Have you got a diagnosis yet? Doctor jusr told me to take Gaviscon for a month and go back. I'm yet to go back.image

    Hope

    Hello.

I notice that I have also developed “Cobblestone Throat“ - The correct name for it is “Pharyngitis“

It can develop after a cold, from acid reflux, or other minor things. There have been rarely recent symptoms from Covid19 that include Pharyngitis. It may go away after a short time or it may become chronic and need medical attention.

Pharyngitis is also linked to a Vitamin B12 deficiency. Those who do not consume meat, egg or dairy product are more prone to this deficiency. Also those who have bodies which are unable to absorb the Vitamin for other reasons. B12 deficiency may also include dryness in mouth, large painless papilae (tastebuds) and a pale tongue. Bodily fatigue, irritation, tinnitus, eye twitch.

Hope this can help someone! Take care.

My daughter has these lumps in her throat. Its probably been there for 2 months now. Her blood work was normal and the bumps did not respond to antibiotics at all so ive been trying to figure out what it could be on my own. i have a strong suspicion that it may be black mold. Her room is right across from the bathroom that has areas where the tub has mold. Her throat is always more irritated in the morning too. Can you tell me if you may have mold issues at home?

Hey, i have something similar for 4-5 years now😐, first discovered them at around 13 after i had a sore throat(due to cold as far as i remember) and now im 17, i used to dry cough alot like when i was 14 (really chronic for over a year) but then it went away after we moved to a new house so my best guess is that it was only an allergy. i dont have any symptoms expect for a sore throat in the mornings probably because it gets dry and i sleep with open mouth mostly and a sore throat after talking for too long which means i need to drink some water to help my throat. Basically i couldn't find out about them if i didn't use to randomly check my throat with flashlight. i didn't have oral sex and i dont smoke nor drink.

i had some doctors checking me up 2 or 3 years ago and they said its nothing concerning but idk im still worried since it just didnt go away. also i feel like they look abit different after 4 years im not sure though.

I hope its just cobblestone throat but i dont see why it should occur.
